Chapter 390 - Chapter 391: The Trap Is Set

The city lights shimmered like fallen stars, reflecting against the high-rise buildings. From the top floor of a luxury penthouse, Ochieng stood with a glass of whiskey in his hand, his sharp eyes scanning the city below.

Behind him, Jeff leaned against the bar, arms crossed. "So, we make The Ghost King come to us. But how?"

Ochieng took a slow sip of his drink before placing the glass down. "By doing something he can't ignore."

Jeff raised an eyebrow. "Which is?"

Ochieng turned, a slow smirk forming. "We're going to burn one of his biggest operations to the ground."

Jeff let out a low whistle. "That's bold."

Ochieng's expression darkened. "It's necessary."

---

That night, a private casino in the heart of the city buzzed with activity. High-rollers placed million-dollar bets, and the scent of expensive cigars filled the air.

Unbeknownst to them, death was already walking through their doors.

Ochieng, dressed in an all-black suit, adjusted his cufflinks as he strode inside. Beside him, Naima walked in, her silver dress clinging to her curves, her presence drawing every eye in the room.

Jeff and Linet blended into the crowd, their eyes sharp, their movements precise.

Their target? The underground vault beneath the casino—where The Ghost King's money flowed like a river.

As Ochieng took a seat at the high-stakes poker table, the game was already in motion. His opponent was a middle-aged man with slicked-back hair and a predatory smile—the casino owner and a direct link to The Ghost King's operations.

The man eyed Ochieng curiously. "You're new here."

Ochieng smirked, placing a black diamond card on the table. Unlimited credit.

"Thought I'd try my luck."

The man chuckled. "Luck? In this world, it's better to make your own."

Ochieng's eyes glowed with amusement. "That's exactly what I intend to do."

---

While the game continued, Naima moved through the casino, her charm effortless as she distracted key security personnel.

Her heels clicked against the polished marble floors as she approached a group of guards near the VIP lounge. With a flirtatious smile, she leaned in close, her perfume intoxicating.

"I'm feeling lucky tonight," she purred, her fingers lightly tracing one of the guard's shoulders. "How about you?"

The men exchanged glances, momentarily distracted.

Meanwhile, Jeff and Linet were already inside the restricted zone.

With swift precision, they bypassed the biometric security system, the heavy vault doors clicking open. Inside, stacks of cash, gold bars, and illegal transaction records lay untouched.

Linet placed a small, sleek device on one of the stacks.

Jeff smirked. "This is going to be a hell of a fireworks show."

Back in the main hall, Ochieng finally looked up from his cards, his gaze meeting the casino owner's.

He smiled.

Then the explosion hit.

---

Screams erupted as fire and smoke spread through the underground vault, alarms blaring.

Ochieng leaned back in his chair, unfazed by the chaos.

The casino owner's face went pale as security rushed in. "What the hell did you do?!"

Ochieng stood, adjusting his sleeves. "I just sent The Ghost King an invitation."

Before the man could react, Jeff appeared behind him, a silenced gun pressing against his temple.

Ochieng's voice was low, deadly.

"Tell him I'm waiting."

Then a single gunshot silenced the room.

---

By the time Ochieng, Jeff, and Naima disappeared into the night, the entire city was in an uproar.

Police cars surrounded the burning casino, emergency crews struggling to contain the flames. The Ghost King's men scrambled to secure the remnants of their empire, but the damage had been done.

Word spread like wildfire through the underworld. Ochieng had declared war.

At a hidden location, deep in the outskirts of the city, a figure sat in a dimly lit room, his fingers drumming against the armrest of a leather chair. His face remained in the shadows, but his presence was suffocating.

A man knelt before him, trembling. "Sir… they destroyed the vault. They left a message."

Silence.

Then, a slow, sinister chuckle.

"The game has finally begun."
