Chapter 3 - Chapter 3:the mysterious message

Unraveling long enough for Mia to be left contemplating what had to be the most bizarre of interviews, the design was quite unlike any she had ever seen. So far now was it from the conscious grasp of Mia: "You are an alpha... A leader. You have a magic that is dormant within you," would again sink deeper and deeper into that subconscious.

Mia's emotions were all jumbled up, with a mixture of happy and afraid feelings. What was it? And what on earth was that magic? And then just entered into her flat was Rachel- leg propped up almost adorably on the coffee table leafing through a book. "Hey, how did it go?"

Mia placed her weight right alongside a thick couch facing Rachel. "Strange... They called me some alpha thing again."

Wide-eyed looks exchanged with Rachel. "Alpha? Wow! You must have held a lot of power."

"Rach, I don't know. I feel no power. Just confused," she said.

Rachel, finally looking away from her book, caught Mia in a hug. "Don't worry, Mia. We're going to figure this out together."

At this moment, Mia's phone started vibrating. She took it out and read a strange text: "I meet you at the old oak tree in the park at midnight. Come alone." Her heart did a flutter at the sight of the message, and she showed it to Rachel. "What do you think this means?"

Rachel's eyes lightened. "I don't know, but that's not good. You're not going, are you?"

Unsure right now, should she go? Don't go! That was all she could hear; that place was dangerous! But oh! The other voice-time was so strong with curiosity! Who sent this message and what do they want? "It's all right, Rach." said Mia after some time. "I really just need to know what it's about."

Rachel looked at her with some uncertainty but soon realized that there was no point arguing with Mia after she set her mind on something. Midnight struck. Inside the park, a girl walks toward the magnificent oak tree. The tree very bright indeed stood above her, grating branches through he winds.

Shadow loomed behind, and then came a lady with long flowing hair and piercing green eyes. "Mia," called out Ariana. "Who are you?" was the strenuous voice of Mia as strong as possible to impose intimidation. "My name is Ariana," the lady smiled. "And you, Mia, are the Unseen Alpha."

How do you know this? asked Mia, staring with mouth opened. "I've been watching you, Mia. I know all about your little interview with the faction leaders." What does she want? And really, how could she know so much about me? Mia had numerous thoughts poring through her mind.

One question came near the top of her mind, and it was, "What do you want from me?" "Mia, I want to help you," was the answer given quite seriously. "You are in danger. The faction leaders are not what they seem. They have ulterior motives for wanting you to attend Silvermist Academy."

That one possibility was? Of course, Mia would not trust Ariana. "Well, I shouldn't tell you this, but I will tell you this: you, Mia, are not just an ordinary student. You are the key that will unlock an ancient prophecy.
