Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Subduing the Rampage

Robin breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that her expectations for Akira had been too small. When he defeated Crocodile, the ability he used was already extraordinary, so he would definitely use something similar now.But after a quick look, Robin could never tell what kind of Devil Fruit this man had. Or perhaps he had power that went beyond what any Devil Fruit could offer.

Meanwhile, Akira was already strategizing on how to handle the giant beast. If he used Amaterasu directly, he would likely burn all the treasures in the area. That would be a significant loss, and definitely not worth it.Akira's abilities, like his clones, could cause massive destruction to the area, especially with his Shinra Tensei. But if the goal was simply to defeat the beast, there was no need to destroy the treasures in the process.

After a moment's thought, Akira finally decided to rely on his Conqueror's Haki. The violent beast, by now completely enraged, charged at him. With a mighty leap, it approached Akira.

Just as the beast's sharp claws were about to land, Akira, using his observation and hearing abilities, effortlessly dodged the attack and appeared behind the beast. The beast, unable to adjust its position fast enough, exposed a critical weakness. Without hesitation, Akira clenched his fist and drove it directly into the violent beast's face."Boom!"A deep crater was created in the ground as the beast was sent crashing to the earth, severely injured.

Akira didn't relax, however, knowing this beast was far tougher than it seemed."Mr. Akira, although you're incredibly strong, I have a feeling this isn't going to be so easy to solve. If you need help, I'm here," Robin offered, still uneasy about the situation.

Akira, however, simply smiled. "No need. If you're free, Miss Robin, you can watch my performance."Robin, who was already confused, now felt even more bewildered by Akira's confidence. She couldn't fathom how he was so sure. But since things had progressed this far, there was no point in questioning it. So, she decided to quietly watch from the sidelines.

The violent beast, which had been knocked down, slowly stood up again, its rage intensifying with each failed attempt to defeat Akira."Be careful," Robin cautioned. "This beast is furious now. It could cause real trouble."

Akira, ever the calm strategist, had already considered this. But right now, the most important thing was to complete the system's mission.Though he still wasn't sure exactly how the task should be completed, the pressure was mounting.

With a swift motion, Akira activated his Haki again, moving toward the beast without hesitation."I'm sorry, but this can't go on much longer," Akira muttered, as he readied a massive punch. With a powerful blow, he struck the beast hard, causing a shockwave that made the creature fall to the ground, finally defeated.

The wild beast, previously thrashing with fury, was now lying motionless on the ground. Akira could feel the task had been completed.

"Ding! Congratulations, you have completed the mission. You receive a reward of 100 rage points.""Ding! You have defeated the violent beast and earned an additional 50 rage points!"

The system rewarded him a total of 150 rage points, a considerable amount.

With the dangerous beast taken care of, the area seemed safe once again."It seems we're in the clear," Robin finally said, visibly relieved. Her earlier tension had faded, replaced with calm.

As they surveyed the treasures around them, Robin didn't hesitate to grab them."I must admit, the former king of Alabasta really thought ahead. He left all these treasures behind for his people. If they hadn't been discovered today, they'd have stayed buried forever."

Nicole Robin couldn't help but agree with Akira's perspective, particularly as she noticed the markings on the stone tablet beginning to fade."After all these years of searching, I've finally uncovered the truth about Alabasta," she said softly, her eyes lingering on the ancient inscription. "This king... should be the one to have the final word on it. This great treasure, these hidden secrets—who knows if anyone will ever discover them again."

A hint of regret crossed Robin's face. It wasn't because the treasure could no longer be used, but because she feared that these lost civilizations would be buried forever. Yet, at the same time, she couldn't help but feel a sense of exhilaration. The knowledge that someone had thought so deeply about the future, preserving these valuable secrets, was something rare and precious. It was a discovery unlike any other.

After returning to the palace, Akira gave all the treasures they had found to the King of Alabasta, fully aware that he wouldn't be taking any personal gain from it.The king, looking at the treasures, frowned slightly. "It seems unfair when you think about it like this. You've sacrificed so much to uncover these treasures, yet you're walking away with nothing," he said, his voice full of regret. There was guilt in his expression as he looked at Akira.

But Akira simply smiled and responded with calm sincerity, "It doesn't matter. I don't care about these treasures at all. As long as this wealth can be used for the good of Alabasta and its people, that's all that matters to me. The rest doesn't concern me."

The king still seemed to struggle with the idea. He couldn't quite believe that Akira didn't want any of the rewards, especially considering all he had done to recover the treasure. But since Akira had no desire for it, the king decided not to press further. Instead, he offered the portion he had initially planned to give Robin.

"No, thank you," Akira said calmly, shaking his head. "The reason I declined this is because I don't want you to question my motives. We've come this far, and at this point, I no longer need any reward."

The king was taken aback by Akira's words, his expression confused for a moment. Robin, too, was surprised by his selflessness. But after thinking it over, the king began to understand. There was something genuine about Akira's intentions, and he realized that the man's actions were rooted in a sense of fairness and responsibility, not personal gain.

Robin, still processing the situation, couldn't help but admire Akira's conviction. She had never expected him to be so indifferent to the treasure, especially given the wealth it represented. But then again, there was always more to Akira than met the eye.
