Chapter 145 -  Why Aren’t You Beating Her Up, Makoto?

Not long after Jiang Chen chatted with Yae Miko and the others, Lumine and Guizhong also woke up.

After everyone finished breakfast, Jiang Chen began preparations.

He drew two magic circles directly beneath the Sacred Sakura—one with Guizhong's help.

Once complete, he turned to Yae Miko.

"Place Lady Saiguu's catalyst in the center of the array."

"Leave the other one empty."

"I'll summon both at the same time."

Yae Miko's eyes widened.

"Is that possible?!"

Two at once?

Damn, this guy was on another level.

"Of course."

"I've done more than two before—this is nothing."

"The empty circle here will only summon the original Electro Archon."

"Even if it's not her, it'll probably summon something related to the Sacred Sakura."

If it wasn't Makoto, then it'd likely be Hanachirusato (the masked shrine maiden).

Not a bad outcome either.

Thinking of Hanachirusato, Jiang Chen pondered.

That shrine maiden… we should save her too.

After this, then.

Just summon her as a Heroic Spirit.

Would it work?

She carried Lady Saiguu's memories, so it should be fine.

Yae Miko nodded.

"Got it!"

Understanding the plan, she didn't hesitate.

She placed Lady Saiguu's fox mask in the designated magic circle.

Once done, she stepped back to wait anxiously.

Now came the moment of truth!!

After Yae Miko cleared the array, Jiang Chen activated it without delay.

As his mana flowed in—

Boom!

Both magic circles erupted with light simultaneously.

Yae Miko and Kamisato Ayaka watched nervously.

Under their tense gazes, the arrays blazed brilliantly.

At the same time, the Sacred Sakura reacted.

A pillar of light burst from the Grand Narukami Shrine, shooting into the sky.

Purple storm clouds gathered ominously.

In Tenshukaku, the Raiden Shogun's eyes snapped open.

"An enemy of eternity!"

She stood, ready to intervene—

But in the next moment, she was forcefully logged out.

"Sister?!"

Inside the Plane of Euthymia, Ei was jolted awake.

The disturbance outside had roused her.

Even Musou Isshin, her sister's blade, was trembling violently.

Sensing this, Ei immediately seized control.

"The 'inner self'!"

The Shogun puppet tried to regain authority to suppress the anomaly.

"Stand down. I'll handle this!"

With that, the puppet's presence faded.

Ei had felt her sister's aura.

Musou Isshin's reaction left her no choice—she had to investigate personally.

And this direction… the Grand Narukami Shrine?

What has that damn fox done now?

Ei transformed into a bolt of lightning, streaking toward the shrine.

Back at the shrine, Jiang Chen blinked in confusion.

"Are twins a specialty of Inazuma or something?"

He glanced at Yae Miko.

She was equally baffled.

"I have no idea?!"

Somehow, three people had been summoned from two circles.

Two arrays summoning three?

Even Jiang Chen was stunned.

The unexpected twist?

Lady Saiguu's circle didn't just summon her—

Hanachirusato, the masked shrine maiden, appeared alongside her.

Jiang Chen hadn't anticipated this outcome.

Weird.

The three summoned individuals were equally disoriented.

Makoto, especially, was shocked as she assessed her body.

"I'm… alive?"

She knew she had died.

Her consciousness had been dormant within Musou Isshin.

Yet now, she was fully resurrected?

What kind of miracle is this?

Yae Miko's eyes welled with tears.

"Lady Makoto! Lady Saiguu!"

She lunged forward, embracing them.

Makoto and Saiguu were stunned.

"Miko?"

Both spoke in unison.

"Yes! Yes!"

"You're finally back!"

Yae Miko sobbed with joy—

Then abruptly remembered something urgent.

"Lady Makoto, I need to tattle!"

No hesitation.

She knew Ei would arrive soon.

If she didn't speak now, it'd be too late.

In rapid-fire detail, she recounted Ei's mismanagement of Inazuma—

The suffering people, the rebellions, even starvation.

Makoto's initial confusion morphed into darkening fury.

"As expected… Ei is hopeless."

She'd known her sister would mess things up.

Kamisato Ayaka watched the scene, utterly bewildered.

Is… is she snitching?

Jiang Chen, Lumine, and Guizhong observed quietly from the sidelines.

Jiang Chen was thoroughly amused.

Someone's about to get scolded.

And he could sense it—

Ei was here.

Makoto felt it too.

She turned toward the sky.

Crack!

A violet thunderbolt split the heavens, landing before the shrine.

Ei, her long braid swaying, materialized in front of the group.

The moment she saw Makoto and Saiguu, she froze.

"Sister…"

Her voice was soft, trembling with emotion.

"Ei."

Makoto's gaze softened.

Seeing her family again filled her with joy.

But then—

"Lady Makoto, she ruined Inazuma!"

Yae Miko, ever the instigator, fueled the fire.

Ei's head whipped toward her, eyes wide.

What the—?!

Makoto's eyelid twitched.

This little fox…

"Ei."

"Explain what's happening in Inazuma."

No nonsense—straight to the point.

Ei was dumbfounded.

"Huh?"

I don't know?

The Shogun handled everything.

Wasn't everything fine? Did something go wrong?

Her confusion was palpable.

As her sister, Makoto knew that look.

Ei genuinely had no clue.

According to Yae Miko, Ei had been kept in the dark about many things.

Makoto sighed, torn between frustration and helplessness.

She couldn't even blame Ei properly—

Her own death had been too sudden, leaving no time to prepare her sister.

Watching Ei's blank expression, Makoto exhaled deeply.

Meanwhile, Yae Miko pouted.

Why isn't she disciplining Ei?

That's it?

*If it were me, I'd grab Musou Isshin and spank her!!
