Chapter 36 - Su Feng: "Not Scary at All!"

True to form, Su Feng's declaration dropped like a bomb in the chat.

[Souls? Ghosts? Waking them up!?]

[Streamer, don't do it! You'll end up like Brother Sun!]

[If you die, can I adopt Torchic? Asking for a friend.]

[This guy's streaming with his life on the line! Instant follow!]

Su Feng glared at the screen. "I'm not dead yet, and you're already eyeing Torchic? No way!"

With that, he marched toward the villa, Torchic in tow. "Ghost Pokémon? Piece of cake!"

[666, what a legend.]

[But ghosts are invisible! How do you fight them?]

[Actually, you can see them… but can you touch them?]

"Hmm… probably not," Su Feng scratched his head. "Ghost Pokémon lack physical forms. Normal attacks—or regular weapons—won't work."

He suddenly realized a problem: Torchic only knew Normal-type moves. If a Ghost Pokémon attacked, they'd be defenseless.

"Eh, we're already here."

Pushing open the creaking door, Su Feng stepped inside. A bone-chilling draft swept through the hallway, amplifying the villa's oppressive aura. While the exterior felt eerie, the interior was pure horror—like a jump-scare waiting to happen.

[Why does this feel way creepier than Brother Sun's stream?]

[I swear my closet just moved. NOPE!]

[Why hasn't a horror movie filmed here? Free set!]

Unfazed, Su Feng yelled into the void, "Anyone home?!"

His voice echoed through the empty halls. After scouting the layout, he noticed Torchic trembling in his arms.

"Torchic, if you're too scared, I'll carry you the whole time."

"Chirp…"

As Su Feng turned to leave, the front door slammed shut behind them—just like in Brother Sun's stream.

Flashlight in hand, Su Feng barged into rooms like a man hunting burglars. "Hello? Squeak if you're here!"

Creak—

A haunting groan echoed from upstairs.

[HOLY SHIT IT ANSWERED!]

[This is EXACTLY what happened to Brother Sun!]

[My pants are wet. I'm out.]

Su Feng sprinted upstairs, shouting, "Stay right there! I'm coming!"

He kicked open a charred door to find a rocking chair swaying unnaturally. Without hesitation, Su Feng doused it in oil and lit it on fire.

"Guess it wasn't burned enough last time."

The chair stopped moving. The fire and scorch marks vanished, leaving only the oil stain.

"Tsk. Waste of good oil," Su Feng muttered.

[He chose ARSON over fighting ghosts!?]

[I expected everything BUT this.]

[Legendary play.]

"Kids, don't try this at home. Fire safety first!"

As Su Feng left the room, portraits on the hallway walls glared menacingly. Torchic shivered harder.

[THE PORTRAITS ARE WATCHING!]

[Streamer, LOOK UP!]

Su Feng didn't glance at the chat. "Let me guess—the portraits just moved, right?"

The portraits froze.

"Come on, this is ancient horror cliché. Try harder."

The paintings drooped sadly before fading away.

"Oops. Too harsh?"

[A bit.]

[You broke the ghosts' confidence. LOL.]

[Their crying faces are scarier!]

After searching every room with no luck, Su Feng groaned, "Where are the ghosts? Come out already!"

Descending the stairs, he froze. A woman in a white dress stood in the foyer, blocking the exit.

Su Feng's eyes lit up. "Hey, gorgeous! Don't move—I'm coming!"

The ghostly woman: "…"
