"Sableye—Dark/Ghost-type Pokémon, common in dark caves. The one that followed us was initially just curious... until it spotted Carbink."
Su Feng adjusted the drone's camera toward the unconscious Sableye. "See its gem-like eyes and chest stone? To maintain their luster, Sableye devour mineral-rich rocks. Carbink's diamonds are their favorite delicacy—they'll stop at nothing to capture one."
As he spoke, Su Feng realized Carbink was missing. "Did it escape on its own?"
"Kee!" Combusken suddenly sniffed the air, tugging Su Feng toward a tunnel. Deeper in the cave, four more Sableye were dragging Carbink away.
"Bink! Bink!" Carbink cried out upon spotting Su Feng.
[Save it, streamer!]
[Why so many Sableye!?]
[They're working as a team!]
[This is a diversion tactic!]
The Sableye hissed in unison, dropping Carbink to face Combusken. Su Feng's jaw tightened—four against one was terrible odds.
Just as tension peaked, an earth-shaking roar echoed through the cavern. The Sableye froze, their gem-eyes widening in terror. Before they could flee, a purple blur shot past Su Feng and unleashed a Dragon Breath, blasting the thieves against the walls.
"ROAR!"
The attacker—a shark-like creature with crimson underbelly and blade-like fins—stood triumphantly over the cowering Sableye. The bullies scrambled into the shadows, abandoning their prize.
[Whoa! What Pokémon is this!? So cool!]
[It's like a land shark with royalty vibes!]
[Look at those claws! Absolute unit!]
"Gabite..." Su Feng murmured in awe before addressing the chat. "Everyone, meet our Dragon-type—Gabite, the Cave Pokémon. Dragon/Ground-type. Resembles a shark but lives in caves. Its claws can shred boulders, and it hoards shiny gems like a dragon guarding treasure."
[But... this looks like a Western dragon! Where's the serpentine Eastern style?]
[Good news: Dragon found. Bad news: It's from a fairy tale!]
[Still badass though!]
Gabite eyed Combusken warily, claws flexing—until Carbink bounced between them, chattering urgently.
"Seems Gabite's fond of Carbink," Su Feng explained. "Dragon-types are mighty but have two key weaknesses: Ice and Fairy. Carbink's Fairy typing makes it immune to Dragon moves. Plus, moves like Misty Terrain can halve Dragon attack power."
As Gabite relaxed, it scooped up Carbink and turned to leave.
"Wait, Gabite!" Su Feng called out desperately. He still needed Carbink to guide them out.
