"Gengar, scout the area for anything suspicious and document the surroundings," Su Feng whispered, handing his phone to the Ghost-type.
Though Gengar had never used technology before meeting Su Feng, it had secretly mastered smartphones—even online shopping and video browsing—by observing from his shadow. Nodding, Gengar floated skyward like a balloon, perching atop the tallest tree. The forest stretched endlessly, bordered by majestic mountains. Distant specks darted across the horizon—too fast to identify.
After snapping photos, Gengar bounced down like a rubber ball, chattering excitedly.
"Mountains? Fast-moving Pokémon?" Su Feng zoomed into the blurry images. His blood ran cold. "Dragonite, Garchomp, and Salamence?!"
[Livestream Chat]
[Did he say DRAGONS?! Where?!]
[Salamence and Garchomp sound terrifying!]
[Dragonite? Is it fast?]
"Dragonite is fast. It can circumnavigate the globe in 32 hours," Su Feng corrected, recalling Arceus had doubled Earth's size. "Its speed exceeds Mach 2."
[Mach 2?! That's insane!]
[But where's the footage?!]
"No clear shots yet. Priorities first—finding Xiao Die and Xiao Da." Though Growlithe couldn't track them, Su Feng trusted Blaziken's protection. "We'll head toward Dragonite's sighting. Maybe it can help search."
An hour into the trek, Su Feng froze. A wounded Pokémon slumped against a tree, clutching bloody gashes on its chest and shoulders—Excadrill.
[Chat Explodes]
[What's that?! Its claws look deadly!]
[It's bleeding badly!]
"This is Excadrill, the Subterrene Pokémon. Ground/Steel-type," Su Feng whispered from the bushes. "Its drill-like claws and head pierce steel plates, tunneling at 150 km/h underground. But injuries likely grounded it."
Excadrill panted, crimson eyes flickering with pain. A single Dragon Claw from that monster had nearly killed it. And the attacker wasn't even fully evolved…
ROAR!
Excadrill flinched. Before it could flee, a shadow blocked its path—Gabite, smirking viciously.
"Gabite? (Running's no fun. Let's finish this.)"
