Chapter 4 - 3.

Next day

In morning

"Alanna is talking with scout (horse) when Shreyansh comes and ask her what are you doing here, she says scout is hurt , i came to see him, he say why, you treat animals as well as humans? She starts talking to scout, ignoring shreyansh."

Alanna- Don't be afraid scout you will be fine.

Shreyansh- There's nothing to be done.

" He takes out his revolver , she thinks he is going to shoot the scout, he starts enjoying seeing Alanna upset , he continues this game."

Alanna- No , what are you doing?you can't shoot him.

Shreyansh- He cant go on with a broken foot.

Alanna- you cannot make this decision besides, how do you know it's broken? May be he will get better.

Shreyansh- you don't know a thing about horse, ownership, require, not only taking care of him but also feeling him, and what you are suggesting is him being dead while still alive.

Alanna- So you are going to end him just because his leg is broken, look at his eyes , he wants to live , shooting him is just a short cut.

Shreyansh- you are going too far.

Alanna- what kind of cruelty is this? I wish you were in a better place scout with someone with a conscience .

I don't know who you are but i know you are a very bad person.

Shreyansh- Get out, Get her out of my farm .

"While leaving, her anklet falls, he picks up her anklet and keeps it in his pocket, chirag asked him what he is doing , why he keeping her anklet in his pocket , but he walks away without saying anything."

In evening

"Alanna is searching for her anklets, when Shreyansh comes there with scout, she hides after seeing Shreyansh."

Alanna- I must find it as soon as possible , i must have dropped it here , it cant be anywhere else , it has to be here.

Shreyansh- I have to scout , i dont have a choice , you and i, we share the same fate , we both have suffered pains that will never go away, i know it will neither ease my pain nor bring what i lost.

Alanna pov- Thank god he didn't shoot him , scout is live , he is alive.

"As she took a step back, her foot caught on a hidden stone. She stumbled and screamed as her leg twisted painfully. Shreyansh turned sharply."

Shreyansh- What the hell are you doing here?"

"He demanded, his expression shifting to concern as he rushed to her side, gripping her arm tightly and pinning her against the wall."

Alanna- i dropped my anklet here in the morning.

Shreyansh- You are here just because of anklet?

Alanna- That anklet has a sentimental value.

"Get out of here," he ordered, pushing her away gently.

She stumbled again, wincing, and he instinctively caught her. "What happened?" he asked, concern lacing his voice as he lifted her into his arms.

"Nothing," Alanna said, embarrassed to be in such a position, but her leg throbbed painfully.

He carried her through the mansion, his family staring in astonishment. He laid her down on the bed in her room, and as she murmured her thanks, he merely stepped back and exited, leaving her in stunned silence.

In the living room, his aunt and uncle exchanged looks of disbelief.

"What is all this happening?" his aunt( chachi) asked, crossing her arms.

"Nothing," Shreyansh replied, but the tension was palpable. "She had a sprain and couldn't walk; that's why I helped her."

His uncle (chacha)"What kindof help is this? Carrying her through the whole house? Do you forget the losses we incurred because of her father? He killed your father, and you're treating his daughter like a princess?"

Shreyansh stood firm, "You seem tohave forgotten what Father used to say: 'Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.'"

"She's not one of those girls you need to be keeping close. She's no damsel in distress!" Aunt replied with fervor.

Shreyansh's gaze darkened. "Alanna doesn't have the right to decide what to do with her own life; only I have that right."

His aunt pursed her lips, "If you have already decided what you want to do, then it's fine, but you haven't seen Samaira. She has been waiting for you since morning."

"Hey, Shreyansh," Samaira greetedbrightly, a flicker of concern crossed her face as she took in the scene.

"Hello, Sam," he replied coolly, diverting his attention. "I'll see you later. I have to go now."

"Who is she?" Samaira asked curiously.

"She is Mr. Kapoor's daughter; don't worry, darling, she is here for a few days."

"As Alanna lay on the bed, her mind raced with thoughts of Scout, the warmth of Shreyansh's arms, and the uncertainty of what would happen next. The lines between care and cruelty blurred as she realized that perhaps both she and Shreyansh were more intertwined than either of them had anticipated."
