No More Cuts: I Don't Want to See the Sealing Scroll Anymore!
Seeing Tsunami's reaction, Kaito couldn't help but chuckle.
"Now you understand the meaning of 'curiosity killed the cat,' huh?"
Tsunami took a deep breath, steadying herself before giving Kaito an exasperated glare.
"Fortunately, Gato is dead now. Otherwise…"
She trailed off, thinking about Inari. If he had continued growing up under Gato's tyranny, he might have been consumed by hatred.
"Well, if there's nothing else, I'll be going."
Kaito stood up, ready to leave, but Tsunami suddenly grabbed his sleeve.
"What is it?" He turned to her, puzzled by her hesitation.
Tsunami bit her lip before speaking. "Can you take me to Konoha? I don't want to stay here anymore."
Kaito blinked, caught off guard. He looked Tsunami up and down, trying to gauge her seriousness.
"I… I've never shared a room with anyone before," she mumbled, lowering her gaze.
Hearing that, Kaito's eyes flickered with amusement. Tsunami was undeniably beautiful, but he quickly cleared his throat.
"Cough! It's just a trip to Konoha. I'll bring you along when I leave."
"Bah! Pervert!" Tsunami huffed, quickly releasing him. Her cheeks turned red as she covered her face and dashed out of the room.
Kaito watched her go, scratching his head. Come on, I'm a decent guy. Am I really the kind of person who just thinks about that?
A few moments later, Tsunami peeked back in, her expression hesitant.
"Um… this is my room."
"..."
Kaito stared at her for a second before sighing. Without another word, he turned and leaped out the window, disappearing into the night.
As Kaito watched Zabuzha leave, Tsunami covered her mouth and chuckled softly.
Outside, Kaito happened to bump into Zabuza, who had just returned. As Kaito prepared to leap out of the window, Zabuza caught sight of his eyes and frowned. Something about them felt… off.
"What kind of eyes are those…? I'm just making a normal visit!" Zabuza muttered suspiciously.
Hearing Kaito's words, Jibuchu nodded, reached into his cloak, and pulled out a passbook, handing it over. Then, he retrieved a sealing scroll, undid the seal, and—much to Kaito's surprise—a pile of additional sealing scrolls spilled onto the ground.
Kaito's mouth twitched as he pointed at the ten scrolls now scattered at his feet.
"What are you doing? Sealing a sealing scroll inside another sealing scroll?"
Jibuchu froze for a second, examined the scrolls closely, and then… realization hit him like a Rasengan.
After a moment of silence, Zabuza blinked. "What does this have to do with sealing scrolls? This is money!"
"There was too much of it! One scroll couldn't hold it all, so I used ten," Jibuchu explained.
"…But carrying ten sealing scrolls was a hassle, so I used another sealing scroll to seal the ten sealing scrolls."
Kaito was dumbfounded. "Are you nesting sealing scrolls like Matryoshka dolls?!"
Zabuza, clearly exasperated, sighed. "Enough. Bai is safe, we didn't mistreat him. Also, here—your Executioner's Blade."
Kaito reached into his cloak, pulled out a sealing scroll, and tossed it to Zabuza.
Zabuza caught the scroll, then immediately covered his mouth as if suppressing a groan.
"Damn it… I never want to see another sealing scroll again in my life!!"
Without another word, Zabuza shoved the scroll into his cloak without even checking its contents and rushed toward Bai's location.
Watching him hurry off, Kaito shook his head and sighed. He then pulled out yet another sealing scroll to store the scattered ones on the ground.
"Well, these are for Kakashi. That should do it."
With that, he set off to find Kakashi and deliver the money.
Meanwhile, Zabuza finally reached Bai's location. When he stepped inside, he saw Bai seated at a small table, calmly making tea. Just as Kaito had said, Bai was completely unharmed.
Zabuza let out a breath of relief.
"If you don't kill the adults again, you are finally back!!"
Bai immediately stood up and rushed into Zabuza's arms.
Zabuza ruffled Bai's hair and muttered, "Alright, it's over. We're leaving the Land of Waves."
And with that, they prepared to depart.
