With a gust of wind, Sakumo appeared directly in front of the convoy, blocking their path. Sarutobi Hiruzen, dressed in plain traveling robes, looked up, startled—but only slightly.

Sarutobi Hiruzen, however, looked unbothered. "Sakumo… I've already stepped down as Hokage. Can't we leave the past in the past?"

Hiruzen's eyes narrowed slightly. "It was for the good of the village. If Konoha is to prosper, sacrifices must be made. You… were simply one of them."
The chat exploded instantly.

Not one to be outdone, Asuma gritted his teeth, slipped on his chakra-enhanced knuckle blades, and met Kakashi's attack head-on.
Father and son—White Fang and Kakashi—quickly overwhelmed the Third Hokage and Asuma.
Realizing the tide had turned, Hiruzen bit his lip and shot Asuma a sharp look—clearly a signal: Buy me time.
Unfortunately for him, Asuma wasn't Danzo—he lacked that sheer cold-hearted ruthlessness. He was quickly floored by Kakashi's unrelenting strikes.
But before the final blow could land, Hiruzen formed a hand seal.
"Summoning Jutsu!"
A puff of smoke exploded beside him—and there stood the Monkey King: Enma.
Enma: "Sarutobi! What now?! You barely summon me once a year, and this is twice in one month!"
The cranky monkey was clearly annoyed, but Hiruzen, already sweating, tried to pacify him.
Hiruzen: "Enma, I'm sorry! I didn't have a choice—I'm under attack!"
He pointed toward Kakashi and Sakumo, still standing behind Enma.
Enma turned around—and his eyes widened in horror.
Enma: "Sakumo?! You summoned me to fight Hatake Sakumo? Are you trying to get me killed?!"
