Chapter 62 - CHAPTER 62

Kaito: "Daime, I Slaughtered Them Like Pigs and Dogs!"

Looking at the captive White Fang on the stage, Kaito shook his head. This White Fang was still too naive, far too intimidated by Danzo's threats.

After performing a quick Transformation Jutsu, Kaito reached into his pouch, pulled out a mask, and placed it over his face. In an instant, he was standing on the elevated platform, his presence commanding.

"Who are you?! This is Konoha!!!"

Danzo's eyes narrowed as he noticed the unfamiliar figure, immediately falling into a defensive stance. His tone was sharp with suspicion.

"White Fang, forget about the politics. Do whatever you need to do. If anything goes wrong, I'll handle it."

Hearing Kaito's words, White Fang blinked, confused for a moment, before he realized what Kaito meant.

"Who are you, exactly? The administrator?"

Kaito gave a small nod, confirming his role, and White Fang was struck silent by the sudden support.

Danzo, meanwhile, was taken aback for a moment, his eyes scanning the situation. His mind raced to figure out Kaito's true identity. A hint of realization flashed before he composed himself.

"Oh, so you're the administrator. But you must understand... If you truly do this, and the daimyo finds out, then the consequences could be... severe."

Kaito's gaze turned cold at Danzo's words. His voice lowered, carrying an edge of threat.

"Shimura Danzo… are you threatening me?"

The intensity of Kaito's stare made Danzo's skin crawl, but he couldn't afford to back down now. Not with Sarutobi Hiruzen's fate hanging in the balance. Danzo steeled himself, forcing his voice to remain calm.

"I don't mean any threat, Administrator. But you must consider the people of Konoha. If you kill the daimyo, how will you protect them when the Land of Fire's 100,000 soldiers march on us?"

Danzo's voice was calm but laden with the weight of the looming crisis. The threat of war was real, and he wanted to plant doubt in Kaito's mind.

Kaito's lips curled into a smirk, his tone dripping with cold amusement as he looked at Danzo.

"The daimyo? Hehe, I slaughtered them like pigs and dogs."

Danzo's breath caught in his throat. The audacity! This man… was talking as if he had already massacred the daimyo and his forces. Such confidence was unthinkable, yet Kaito spoke as though it were nothing.

Danzo recovered quickly, though, trying to steady his nerve.

"Heh… You may have the power to deal with the daimyo, but 100,000 soldiers of the Land of Fire? Do you really believe you can handle them all on your own?"

Kaito's eyes glowed with a terrifying resolve. His voice was unwavering.

"If they want to come, then I'll slaughter them all."

"Slaughter all???" Danzo's disbelief could not be masked. He stared at Kaito, trying to comprehend what he had just heard.

"You're suggesting you can kill an entire army of 100,000 men? Is the administrator mad, or are you simply playing games?"

Danzo's voice trembled with mockery, hoping to rattle Kaito.

But Kaito stood unflinching, his cold demeanor never wavering. The silence between them was thick with tension.

"Oh? Do you think I am incapable of destroying an army of 100,000 people?"

Kaito turned his head and glanced at Danzo with a playful look in his eyes.

"Haha! It's good that the administrator has confidence, but even the First Hokage would struggle with an army of that size," Danzo scoffed. He assumed Kaito was simply boasting.

"Well, then, you can watch for yourself."

"Watch what?"

Danzo's confusion was clear. What was Kaito referring to? However, before he could question further, he understood exactly what Kaito meant.

On the high platform, Kaito suddenly clasped his hands together, and golden eyes appeared on his eyelids in an instant.

The ground trembled as a massive wooden structure began to rise beneath him, towering over the landscape. At the same time, dark Chakra swirled around him, forming a dense, protective armor.

Kaito closed his eyes for a moment and entered Sage Mode, pushing it to its ultimate limit. The ground beneath Konoha cracked, and a colossal wooden Buddha emerged, standing at a height of over a hundred feet.

The armor around Kaito merged with the Buddha, creating a fearsome appearance of a dark-armored, towering figure.

"Sage Art: Wood Style — Great Buddha's Prestige!"

The massive Senju Buddha, towering over the land, was adorned in pitch-black armor, each hand wielding a Chakra sword.

"Can my ninjutsu take on an army of 100,000 men? Shimura Danzō!" Kaito called down from the top of the Buddha, his eyes glinting with a playful challenge.

Danzo swallowed hard. Looking at the terrifying power before him, his bravado quickly evaporated. "Gulp! Since the administrator has such power, it's clear you could obliterate an entire army with ease."

"Looks like I misjudged you... Let's part ways here!" Danzo said, his voice uncharacteristically humble as he quickly retreated.

As Danzo fled, Kaito made no attempt to pursue or embarrass him. The Sarutobi clan had already been wiped out, and Konoha was in need of strong leadership. Despite Danzo's scheming nature, there was some value to him for Konoha's future development. For now, Kaito decided to let him live.

"Alright, White Fang, proceed with the trial."

Once Danzo was gone, Kaito lowered the wooden Buddha and returned to the platform, signaling for White Fang to continue with the trial as before.
