Chapter 14 - A night with her ex husband's half brother

"Shut up!" Lucas felt his eardrums almost explode when the woman in his arms suddenly started to scream. He held immense respect for the woman for fighting back, but not at the expense of his ears. He glared at Mia and stated coldly, "I have no interest in doing anything with you. So you can stop flailing about —"

He was still speaking when Mia leaned over and kissed him on the lips by grabbing hold of his collar. Her kiss had no strength at all, but it was enough to make Lucas stiffen. His muscles bunched up and went taut as he pulled away but that only made the woman in his arms whine.

"Behave," Lucas spoke in a tight voice as he tried to pry off the fingers that were trying to wrench the fabric of his shirt open. Mia, on the other hand, was not in any situation to listen to what Lucas was telling her. Her body was caught between a rock and a hard place. No matter how much she tried to suppress the heat in her body, she couldn't.

She clung to the man as if he were her life saving straw.

"It is so uncomfortable," she murmured, trying to press her face against Lucas's neck. "Help me… I am so uncomfortable."

Lucas gritted his teeth before turning around on his feet and heading out of the room. He deliberately stepped on Ronald, who was lying on the floor, before heading out of the room.

"What happened?" His good friend Ryan rushed inside the room with Gerald, who looked at the mess in the room with their eyes popping wide. When Lucas called them and asked them to head over to this pub, claiming that there was trouble, this was not the kind of trouble that they were hoping to see.

They looked at Lucas and then at the man lying on the floor.

"What's going on, Luke?" Gerald asked as he took in the entire mess and turned to look at his good friend. He had hoped that Lucas would restrain himself now that he was in Ashmoor, but he was still the same as usual.

The second he stepped into this city, he was caught up in trouble. Gerald had hoped that Lucas would do better with the situation at hand.

"I will tell you guys later. First, Ryan, deal with that man; send him to Henry Holman and ask him what he meant by sending a man to force his ex-wife. I will send you a recording; you use that." He then turned to look at Gerald before saying to him, "And you come with me."

Gerald had multiple questions, but he still walked out of the room with Lucas, who brought them to a room that had been booked already by him.

"Take a look at her." Lucas pried off the grabby hands and swatted the fingers that were trying to reach inside of his shirt before grabbing them and pushing them over Mia's head. He was worried that if he didn't, then these hands would soon start roaming south. "Enough."

With how drugged Mia was, he might as well have talked to the wall for a better response.

Fortunately, Gerald was not one to waste his time. He sat down on the edge of the bed and started examining Mia. Three minutes later, he shook his head and replied, "I am afraid it's too late for us to take her to the hospital. This drug is completely ingested."

"What about I leave her alone?"

"If you want her liver and large intestine to collapse, then you can try. There is also a probability that she would develop seizures."

Lucas frowned. "Henry used such a potent drug? No matter what, isn't this woman his ex-wife?" What kind of grudge did that man even have with this woman for ruining her like this?

"I can't tell you anything because, like you, even I came to this city just a few hours ago," said Gerald as he peered down at Mia before standing up and patting Lucas on the shoulder. "Well, you should just take matters into your own hands."

Lucas turned his head and glared at Gerald. He was about to kick the man on his bottom, but then the man snuck past him and ran out of the room, leaving Lucas alone with Mia.

"Help me, please." Mia, who was lying on the bed twisting and groaning uncomfortably, reached out and pulled his hand. Her eyes were flickering with unease as she cried out, "I feel like I am dying... so please..."

"Look," Lucas leaned down, his arms settled on both sides of her head as he stated, "I am a hot-blooded man, Miss Wills. If you plead with me like that, I am afraid that I will not be able to say no to you again. So why don't you calm down a little, and we can think of a solution?"

He knew that there was no other solution but sleeping with a woman, just to help her out, and Lucas didn't think he was that noble. His body was too precious for a one-night stand.

Was he selfish for thinking like that? Maybe. But then again, this was not the trouble that he invited.

"He–Help me," Mia couldn't hold on any longer. She turned her wet face to the side and buried her face in the pillow while blabbering in a hoarse voice, "Please—as long as you help me, I will pay you."

Her words made the man snort as he pushed away her hair that was sticking to her face and muttered, "You were the one who said this, so don't regret it later on."

Mia was barely conscious when she felt a warm body press onto hers, and a sense of sheer relief spread all over her body as she sighed in pleasure. Her voice, along with her rising moans, pushed the man into a maddening disarray.

The sound of rustling clothes and heated pleasure echoed in the silent room, followed by the cries of desire.

Lucas looked down at the woman whose face was flushed red and leaned in closer to Mia's ear as he whispered, "You better be prepared to pay me, Miss Wills. Because I don't do one-night stands. My body is a luxury, and that requires more than just a quick drive by."
