After the duo entered the eastern passage, they increased their speed even more. With each step, they left traces of mana behind them.
Before long, they arrived at the area where the students were staying.
Led by Elise, Atlas reached Kris's room in a short time and immediately kicked the door.
"PAT!!!"
The loud impact echoed through the corridor.
Elise sighed, shook her head, and pulled Atlas aside before saying, "You know we have a key, right? I'm the co-leader of the committee." She then unlocked the door.
As soon as the door clicked open, Atlas kicked it again—this time stepping inside with a strange sense of pride.
At that very moment, a massive fireball came hurtling toward him. Instinctively, he raised his palm and shouted, "Air Slash!"
As if wielded by an invisible sword, the fireball split cleanly in two, its flames vanishing into nothingness. That was when Atlas finally laid eyes on Kris.
Without hesitation, he lunged forward and commanded, "Freeze!"
