He have been in this world for more than ten years and after years of being patient, working hard, learning and testing, he can say with pride that he finally succeeded.

Tommy was so surprised hearing a sudden voice interrupting that he almost let the helmet go, fortunately his reflex didn't let him down.
After breathing a sigh of relief, he was annoyed and looked towards the girl that scared him appearing out of nowhere. "I swear if you continue entering my room as you please, I'll someday make you lost your power."
The girl in front of him who self-proclaimed herself as his partner in crime is Kitty Pryde, once a personnage in the Marvel comics and movies.
Kitty smirked not taking Tommy's rage seriously knowing he was just a little annoyed, what attracted her is something, her eyes flickered to the helmet in his hands.
""Oh, come on, Tommy. You know I'm just looking out for you. Besides, what's that thing you're holding? Looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. Did you finally crack the code on your little project?"
If it was someone from Tommy's past life, he may recognize the helmet because it was exactly the white version nervegear from the anime Sword Art Online.
Tommy was satisfied by the little baby, this was the «gateway» to his Virtual World after all and an invention that could allow him to become rich and to finally have the power to protect himself in this f*cked world.
It was because of his satisfactory that the unpleasantness of Kitty's sudden coming to his room was gone. "It's not some kind of little project but an invention that would revolutionize the world, do you want to try?"
Anyway, he lack a test subject, since she presented herself, may as well be the mice.
Knowing Tommy for many years, Kitty immediately understood that he wants her to test this strange helmet. "Let me think about it, you want me to test it? What, you're gonna fry my brain or trap me in some bizarre place?"
Tommy rolled his eyes to her nonsense. "Your little brain isn't even worth frying and it's a virtual reality helmet, it's not even dangerous, I've spent way too much time on this thing to risk someone else using it first."
'The only risk would be to lose yourself in some unknown realm.' of course, he didn't voice out his inner thoughts.
Kitty who couldn't read his thoughts was attracted by what he said, a virtual reality world, to put it simply, isn't it a helmet for a virtual reality game? She was immediately hooked.
As a game lover and excitement seeker, she was more excited than Tommy. "So what exactly does it do, is it game like in the story you once told me when we were young?"

Kitty have some question, raised her eyebrows but then she slide the helmet on over her head, the moment she did, her body went still.

The moment I put the helmet, I found myself in an unknown blank white space, so blank without anything around, without any ground or sky, really blank to the point of feel a little dizzy.

The voice that came out of nowhere made me try to jump subsconsienly but I couldn't move.
Thankfully, an interface appeared in front of me and I understand what was happening. 'It seems that Tommy really did it.'

"Huh, world? Tommy is really ambitious, does he call his game world?" Nonetheless, in the list that appeared, there's only world and the rest is just empty case.
