Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Awakening of Conqueror's Haki

Dong! Dong! Dong!

The sound of steel boots stomping on the ship's deck echoed one after another...

"Captain Peter is coming!"

"Great! Those guys are doomed."

"Captain Peter, you must avenge my younger brother, Kevin!"

The three slave traders looked on in surprise. A man over two meters tall, wearing a full suit of medieval knight armor, holding a shield in his left hand and a longsword in his right, walked down the corridor of the cabin.

Behind him, there was also a man holding a long knife and carrying a pistol on his waist.

Putting on full armor was very time - consuming and extremely difficult for one person to do alone. So the two of them took a while and arrived late.

The thick armor on Captain Peter covered him from head to toe.

A full suit of armor weighing over thirty kilograms would make an ordinary person clumsy even to move, but Captain Peter was different. His strength and endurance far exceeded those of ordinary people, and the armor didn't cause him too much hindrance.

Moreover, with the full armor on, he could directly ignore the bullets of ordinary firearms and the slashes of swords!

Captain Peter scanned the area through the sight hole on his metal mask and clearly saw the young man lying on the ground.

"Damn it! Was Kevin also killed? Those guys... I'll kill them!"

He angrily slammed his shield against the wall to vent his emotions, then stepped into the cabin where the four people were.

Hearing the unusual footsteps, Sephiroth quickly peeked out:

"Damn it! There's a guy in full armor coming towards our cabin!"

Hearing this, Hancock's beautiful willow eyebrows frowned slightly. She said in a deep voice:

"First, find a way to knock him down!

Then, while he can't get up, we can deliver a fatal blow through the gaps in his armor."

Sandersonia and Marigold nodded slightly and carefully listened to the footsteps.

Soon, a tall figure in full armor appeared in front of the four of them.

The three Boa sisters each picked up a wooden barrel filled with water with both hands and threw it at Captain Peter's head.

But...

The armored man was well - prepared. He quickly stepped to the side, dodging two wooden barrels while swinging the longsword in his right hand.

Shua!

A flash of cold light, and the wooden barrels were actually cut in half and fell on the ship's deck.

On the other side, Sephiroth also seized the opportunity and rushed towards Captain Peter, trying to knock him to the ground.

However...

The next moment.

The armored arm slammed hard into the silver - haired boy's chest, knocking him flying backwards and hitting the cabin wall with a dull "thud".

The severe pain in his chest almost made Sephiroth pass out as he could clearly feel that several ribs in his chest seemed to be broken...

For a moment, he was too weak to get up and had lost the ability to continue fighting.

Seeing this, Captain Peter immediately raised his long sword and was about to cut at the silver-haired boy's throat.

Clang!

The sound of metal clashing rang out. Hancock hastily swung her long knife and just barely blocked the sword, thus saving Sephiroth.

Seizing the moment, Marigold brandished her long knife and charged towards Captain Peter. She wanted to stab through the joints of his armor into his body.

But...

Relying on his full-body armor, after quickly adjusting his posture, the enemy pushed the shield in his left hand hard at the orange-haired girl, knocking her to the ground.

In the distance, Sandersonia raised her pistol and kept pulling the trigger at Captain Peter.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The bullets hit the armor one after another, splashing several sparks, but Captain Peter in full armor remained unmoved. He simply ignored the green-haired girl's gunshots.

When he wielded his sword to suppress Hancock's long knife, then he swung the shield backhand and smashed it on the right side of the black-haired girl's head.

By then, it was too late for the girl to dodge. She could only desperately mobilize the little Armament Haki in her body and concentrate it on her forehead to minimize the damage.

Thud!

After being hit, Hancock was immediately knocked to the deck. A trickle of bright red blood flowed down her forehead.

Captain Peter's attack moves weren't that great; they were actually kinda clumsy. However, relying on the defense provided by his armor and his physical strength far exceeding that of an ordinary adult, he was suppressing the four of them without any room for resistance.

"Die!"

Captain Peter held the long sword in a reverse grip with his right hand, aimed at the black-haired girl's chest, and was about to stab down directly.

On the other side, Sephiroth, covering his chest with his right hand and half-leaning against the wall, suddenly opened his eyes wide and watched as the blade swung down through the air...

In fact, when dealing with Captain Peter's attacks, he could have transformed into a bat to dodge. But deep down, he still wasn't used to being a Devil Fruit user.

That's why the mistake happened...

If it weren't for his burden, Hancock wouldn't have been forced to fight in a hurry at that time, and she wouldn't have been instantly suppressed by the enemy and fallen into a dangerous situation.

The girl's death was all because of him!

At this thought, the silver-haired boy was overwhelmed with remorse. He let out a blood-curdling roar with his eyes bulging:

"Don't!!!"

Boom!

A vast and mighty qi burst out from Sephiroth's body. Faint dark red lightning flashed through the cabin and disappeared in an instant.

Thud! Thud! Thud! ...

Everyone on the ship, including Marigold and Sandersonia, except Sephiroth and Hancock, lost consciousness and fainted on the deck.

"Co... Conqueror's Haki...? One in a million, the qualification of a king..."

Hancock slowly stood up, reached out to wipe the blood flowing from her forehead, and looked at the silver-haired boy with a shocked expression.

On Kuja Island, many people can use Observation Haki and Armament Haki. They've even summarized a relatively simple and easy to understand method for training Armament Haki.

But...

Conqueror's Haki, the power that only exists in legends, was something she was seeing for the first time!

On the other side, under the power of the Vampire Fruit, the cracked ribs on Sephiroth's chest quickly healed. The pain subsided, and he finally regained the strength to stand up.

"Is this Conqueror's Haki...?"

The silver - haired teenager stared blankly at his hands, still a bit confused in his eyes.

Just now, in a state of remorse and grief, he felt as if something had been vented from his mind.

Immediately afterwards, a bout of tiredness hit his brain.

When he tried to regain that feeling, he found nothing.

If it weren't for the people lying unconscious all over the cabin, he wouldn't have believed that he had really unleashed Conqueror's Haki!

After Sephiroth tried in vain, he decided to continue researching it later.

He and Hancock worked together to tie up the crew of the slave ship with ropes, and then went to call Marigold and Sandersonia.

The slave ship was a fast - moving sailing ship about twenty meters long, with three decks. It was just a small vessel, and its prow was in the shape of a wolf's head.

On the ship's deck, six unconscious slave - dealers were thrown together.

"What should we do with these six fellows?"

Sephiroth turned to look at Hancock beside him.

Since the right side of the young girl's head was hit by a shield and bled a little, she wrapped a few rounds of white bandages around her forehead. It seemed that the wound still ached faintly, so she would often frown her beautiful willow - shaped eyebrows and touch her forehead with her hand.

Hearing this, the long - haired black - haired young girl first let out a cold snort and then said:

"These disgusting guys... Just throw them into the sea to feed the fish."

"Yeah! If we hadn't won by a fluke, maybe we'd have been killed by now."

Marigold also nodded repeatedly in agreement, very much in favor of Hancock's suggestion.

"But if we throw them all into the sea, there'll be no one to help us sail the ship.

Can the four of us sail the ship to the next island?" the silver - haired teenager frowned and said.

Hearing this, Sandersonia, the green - haired girl, patted her budding bosom and said with a confident smile:

"Don't worry!

I'm quite confident in my navigation skills...

After all, the Kuja Pirates have been training me as a navigator since I was young. The four of us are more than enough to sail this sailing ship."

Sephiroth (Saphilos in transliteration) looked at these six human traffickers. He thought that if he hadn't luckily eaten the vampire fruit, he and the three girls would probably have been sold as slaves, losing all their dignity, enduring all kinds of inhuman torture every day, and becoming playthings for others...

This couldn't help but remind him of those who survived after being enslaved by the Celestial Dragons in the original work. Basically, all of them had severe psychological traumas. Some, like Tazolo and Boa Hancock, even had their personalities distorted...

Thinking of this, the silver - haired teenager's eyes glinted with fierce light. The last bit of compassion in his heart vanished instantly.

This is the world of the Pirate King, where human lives are as worthless as grass. It's no longer the peaceful era he lived in his previous life!

It would be utterly ridiculous to consider the human rights of these scumbags!

Having made up his mind, Sephiroth no longer felt any sympathy or pity when he started to act.

At his request, the three girls handed over the task of dealing with these six slave traders to him, while they went below the cabin to carry the corpses and clean up the traces of the fight...

The silver - haired teenager dragged the six slave traders one by one to the side of the ship.

His rough handling roused several of them from their unconscious state.

"Wait! What the hell are you doing?!"

...

"Sorry! I'm really wrong! Please spare me!"

Facing the pleas of these scumbags, Sephiroth remained unmoved.

He stretched out his long, fair right hand and pressed it on each of the six people one by one.

Under the effect of the vampire fruit's ability, the vitality of the six people was directly drained from them, and they turned into a group of white - haired old men.

Plop! Plop! Plop!...

Every time Sephiroth threw a person off the side of the ship, a large splash of water would rise on the sea.

These six scumbags had their vitality exhausted, and their hands were tied. Unless a miracle occurred, they were definitely doomed!

The afternoon sun shone on the silver - haired teenager, making his body feel warm, but his heart was as cold as ice...
