Lethia sighed softly, staring at the two Tuffin Beasts who were glaring at her in disbelief.
"Renar, why did you hit Caelum first?" she asked, her tone firm.
Renar clenched his jaw and stood up, water dripping from his designer clothes.
"Are you seriously asking me that? What were you even doing here in the first place?"
"Shouldn't you ask first if I'm fine or not?"
Renar froze, one brow twitching before he let out a short, bitter chuckle.
"You've no idea how worried I was the entire way here, only to find out you…" His words faltered, choked off by the knot in his throat.
The butterfly on Lethia's stomach fluttered like it was trying to break out of its cage the moment she saw how flustered Renar looked in his worry. But she didn't let it take over her mind either.
"Don't! I don't want you worrying about me if it means you'll end up beating someone to a pulp like that. Has the test result come out? Does it say I'm your fated mate?"
