Renar's car pulled up right in front of the elevator entrance, making Lethia wonder why he didn't bother parking.
"You should go up first. I need to be back at the hospital. Tuffy already prepared your dinner. You should eat before resting."
He handed her the access card, speaking like a damn robot, his voice so cold it barely felt human.
Lethia glanced at the dashboard clock and frowned. "Back to the hospital at this hour?"
She wondered what kind of plastic surgeon had to rush back to a hospital late at night like some overworked ER doctor.
Renar didn't meet her eyes. He just nodded. "I need to finish something in the research lab."
From the way he moved, the way his gaze avoided hers like poison, she could feel it; he didn't want to be anywhere near her tonight.
She caught the tight pull of his brow. The stiff line of his jaw clenched so hard it looked like he was holding back pure rage and irritation. Well… maybe Lethia did deserve that.
