Toru and I stepped out. She let out a deep breath. "That went better than expected."

"Yeah," I said. "Now I just have to deal with the class not shutting up about it."

She groaned. "Oh god, they're gonna be insufferable, aren't they?"

"Absolutely."

As we took the subway back to the mall, Hagakure looked excited now that the shock was gone.

Feeling chaotic, I decided to see if I could get any reaction out of Ryukyu.

I sent her a meme.

It was a dragon wrapping around a skyscraper, captioned:

"When she says she can take it all, but you know damn well she can't."(Check here)

I waited.

Five minutes.

Then my phone lit up with a text.

Ryukyu: Oh my god, Ryuu. No!

Nothing else.

I grinned and immediately sent another meme.

This time?

A dragon breathing fire, but the flames were edited to look like white liquid.

Caption?

"Too much excitement can be a problem."(Check here)

No response.

I checked.

Read: 3:47 PM.

Silence.

I chuckled. Another victory.

Hagakure grabbed my wrist, staring at her hand.

"What color is my skin?"

"Light."

She frowned. "Not helpful! Is it pale? Tan? Do I have freckles?"

I squinted. "You're somewhere between fair and super fair. No freckles."

She held her arm against mine. "Compare. Lighter or darker than yours?"

I glanced. "Lighter."

She hummed, then grabbed my other hand. "What about my fingers? Do they look normal?"

"Yeah."

She pressed her palm against mine, studying them. "What about my nails? Are they short?"

"Yeah, and kind of square-shaped."

She ran her fingers over my knuckles. "I thought they would be rounder."

I shrugged. "They look fine to me."

She pulled my arm closer. "Feel my wrist. Is my bone sticking out too much?"

I pressed my fingers against it. "Nah, looks normal."

She nodded, then poked her own face. "Okay, pinch my cheek."

I raised a brow. "You sure?"

"Yes! I need to know if I get that little face squish thing!"

I pinched lightly. Her skin bounced back immediately.

She gasped. "Oh my god, I have squish!"

"Not much, though."

She pouted. "Well, excuse me for not having baby cheeks."

She grabbed my hand and pressed it against her forehead. "Is my forehead big?"

I stared. "Not really?"

She sighed in relief, then leaned closer. "Okay, tell me if my face turns red when I blush."

"Do something embarrassing and we'll find out."

She smacked my arm. "Be serious!"

I rolled my eyes. "Fine. Blush, then."

She squeezed her eyes shut and clenched her fists like she was trying to force it.

Nothing happened.

I tilted my head. "I think you broke yourself."

She groaned, covering her face. "This is impossible under pressure!"

I held her cheek and leaned in like I was about to kiss her.

Yep, that did the magic.

Her face turned red so fast I thought she would explode. She jerked back, waving her hands like she was trying to fan herself. "OH MY GOD."

I smirked. "Confirmed. You blush."

She pointed at me. "YOU CAN'T JUST—"

"Hey, you wanted to know."

"That doesn't mean—!" She covered her face, practically vibrating in place. "I wasn't ready for that!"

"Well, now you know how to trigger it." I leaned back, stretching. "Science achieved."

Hagakure stomped her foot. "I hate you."

"Nah, you love me."

She grabbed my arm and shook it. "Shut up, shut up, shut up."

She was still recovering, muttering under her breath. "I just wanted a simple answer. A normal one."

I patted her shoulder. "You got the best answer."

She groaned. "I am never trusting you again."

We got to our stop, and I pulled Hagakure along as we stepped off the subway. She didn't let go of my hand, but her face was still red.

"Sure you do," I said.

She muttered something under her breath, but she didn't let go.

When we reached the mall, we spotted the others immediately. Izuku was slumped over on a bench, pale as hell. A few cops were taking statements.

We walked up, and Kaminari turned to us. "Dude. You missed some shit."

"Yeah?" I glanced at Izuku. "What happened to him?"

Todoroki looked up. "Shigaraki was here."

I frowned. "The fuck?"

"He showed up while we were waiting," Jiro said. "Came out of nowhere, walked right up to Midoriya."

My eyes snapped to Izuku again. He still hadn't said anything.

Mina crossed her arms. "Said some creepy shit, too."

"Of course he did," I muttered. "What did he want?"

Sero shook his head. "Asked about you."

I stilled. "Me?"

Kirishima nodded. "Yeah. He just walked up, put his hand on Midoriya's shoulder, and said, 'Where's Ryuu Midoriya?'"

I looked back at Izuku. He was shaking slightly.

"He kept his fingers up the whole time," Uraraka said quietly. "One wrong move, and he could've—"

I turned to Izuku fully. "What did he say?"

Izuku swallowed. His voice was hoarse. "He said… he said I should tell you that he's watching. That you're… 'interesting.'"

Bakugo scoffed. "Yeah, no shit he's interesting. He beat Stain's ass on live TV."

I ignored him. "And then what?"

"He just… left," Iida said. "Didn't attack anyone. Didn't make any threats. Just walked off."

I stayed quiet for a second, then let out a breath. "Great. I have a fucking stalker now."

Todoroki looked at the cops. "They're looking through security footage, but they won't find anything useful. He just vanished."

Shoji nodded. "He knew exactly how to avoid attention. No one noticed him except us."

I turned back to Izuku. "You okay?"

He nodded slowly. "Yeah. Just… I thought he was going to kill me."

I clapped a hand on his shoulder. "Well, he didn't. So breathe."

He took a shaky breath. "Right."

Kaminari rubbed the back of his head. "So, uh. What do we do now? Just… keep shopping?"

I shrugged. "What else can we do? Sit here and cry about it?"

Yaoyorozu frowned. "This isn't something to take lightly, Midoriya."

"I know that," I said. "But it's not like we can do anything about it right now. We gonna hunt him down? No. We gonna stop living our lives? Also no. So what's left?"

She pursed her lips.

Bakugo clicked his tongue. "Tch. Dumbass is right."

Jiro sighed. "I hate that this is normal for us."

Sero stretched. "Alright, well. If Shigaraki wanted to ruin our day, screw that. We're still getting our supplies, right?"

Kirishima nodded. "Damn right. If anything, this just means we need to be ready for whatever's coming next."

"Exactly," I said. "So let's go. I still need to buy stuff."

Izuku slowly got up. "I'll be okay. Let's just… move on."

I nodded. "Good. You're paying for my lunch, by the way. Consider it emotional compensation."

He groaned. "Why?"

"Because I feel emotionally burdened by the knowledge that a crusty asshole is thinking about me."

Kaminari snickered. "Bro got a villain sugar daddy."

I smacked him. "Shut the fuck up."

The cops finished taking statements and let us go. We headed into the mall, splitting up into smaller groups to get what we needed.

Hagakure grabbed my arm again as we walked. "Hey. You're not actually worried, right?"

I glanced at her. "About Shigaraki?"

She nodded. She felt amazed that she could this now.

I shrugged. "I mean, it's creepy, but worrying won't do anything."

She hummed. "Still. Be careful."

"You too."

She squeezed my arm before letting go. "Let's hurry up before Mineta buys something weird."

"Too late," I said. "He already exists."

We stepped into the store, and I started grabbing stuff off the shelves. Camping gear, spare clothes, some extra supplies in case of emergencies. The others were scattered around, doing the same.

Kirishima walked past with an armful of energy bars. "Think this is enough?"

I eyed the pile. "For a bear, maybe."

He laughed. "Better to have extra!"

Bakugo grabbed a sleeping bag and muttered to himself.

"Hey, Bakugo," Kaminari called, holding up a pink sleeping bag. "This one's more your style."

Bakugo turned. "Say that again, Pikachu."

Kaminari immediately put it back.

Yaoyorozu was making sure everyone had the essentials, muttering about efficiency and resource management.

Mina leaned toward me. "Wanna bet she's gonna make us a survival guide?"

"Already printed and laminated," I said.

She giggled. "Think she made color-coded lists?"

"Obviously."

We finished up, paid for our stuff, and regrouped near the exit.

Sero looked around. "Alright, so what now?"

Mina grinned. "Arcade?"

Uraraka pumped a fist. "Yes!"

Iida sighed. "As long as we do not stay too long."

"Yeah, yeah," I said. "Let's go."

We walked through the mall, heading for the arcade. I glanced at Izuku as we went. He still looked rattled, but he was holding up.

I nudged him. "You're sure you're good?"

He exhaled. "Yeah. Just… need a distraction."

"Then get ready to lose," I said.

He managed a small smile. "We'll see."

We reached the arcade and scattered.

Kaminari and Sero went straight for the racing games, immediately getting way too competitive.

Mina dragged Jiro to the rhythm games.

Hagakure grabbed my wrist. "Come on, let's try the claw machines!"

"Scam machines, you mean."

She pouted. "Come on, don't be lame."

I sighed. "Fine. But if it eats my money, I'm flipping it over."

She grinned. "Deal."

The night continued like that—loud, stupid, and exactly what we needed after a long day.

Shigaraki could watch all he wanted. We weren't going to let him ruin shit.
