Vrater: "Why do I have to fix this? The writer is the one who caused this mess in the first place."
Mei H: "If you want, I can go find the writer and make them fix it."
Vrater: "No, thanks. If they come, I'll just have even more problems to deal with."
Captain: "Well, at least it's good that Kiana isn't causing any trouble—"
BOOM!
An explosion echoed through the ship.
Vrater: "...What? What did you just say?"
Captain: "Sorry—I spoke too soon."
Without hesitation, they rushed out of the room, leaving Mei behind.
She sighed, then turned to the other presence in the room.
Mei: "What do you think about all this?"
Mei H: "Completely ridiculous."
Mei: "But you're smiling like you're actually enjoying it, aren't you?"
Mei H: "......."
She said nothing and simply walked out, heading to another room.
Left alone for a brief moment, Mei chuckled softly before following them.
Mei: "Oh, and to the readers—I hope you're enjoying this."

[System Connection][Target: World Liminalis]
[Please confirm the user for system integration.]
V remained silent for a moment before finally speaking.
V: Shin Amano.
[Initiating search...][Search complete.]

[The user's current body is incompatible with the system.]
[Initiating user level upgrade.]
As soon as the system's voice faded, a sharp pain shot through him.
V: Urgh...
His hand clutched at his chest as his body collapsed onto the ground.
V: I knew it... there was no way this wouldn't have consequences.
His voice was strained, each word spoken with difficulty.
[Initiating body adjustment.]
A fresh wave of pain surged through him.
His body felt like it was being torn apart and reforged at the same time.
V: Urgh...
He bit back a cry, forcing himself to endure.
V: It's fine... I just have to get through this.
The "adjustment" was nothing less than destruction—his bones, veins, and tissues being broken down and reconstructed, reforged into something stronger.
[User level insufficient.]
[Locking certain skills.]
[Process ongoing...]
V clenched his jaw, beads of sweat dripping down his face.
No matter how excruciating, he wouldn't let himself scream.
He had to endure. He had no choice.

Time passed.
V braced himself, using his arms to push against the cold floor, his muscles screaming in protest.
V: Urgh...
Pain coursed through his body with every movement as he struggled to stand.
Each step toward the bed felt like dragging his body through an invisible storm of agony. His limbs trembled, but he forced himself forward, refusing to collapse again.
Finally, he reached the bed, slumping down with his back pressed against it.
He sat there for a while, catching his breath.
Then, with a low voice, he muttered:
V: ◾◾◾◾◾◾
(Open my status window.)
A translucent screen materialized in front of him, displaying a wall of information.

V gaze scanned through the list, his eyes narrowing slightly.
V: So, some of my abilities are still locked... but at least my level increased.
The connection with the system had restored part of his power. Though not everything was accessible yet, it was enough for now. With his sword and the system's assistance, leveling up would be much faster—making it easier to handle what was coming next.
A faint smirk formed on his lips, though he wasn't even aware of it.
Then, exhaustion took over.
His eyelids grew heavy as the lingering pain dulled into a distant ache.
His consciousness faded, and soon, he drifted into sleep.

Origin Power
A power bound to the user's soul—one that remains until the soul is cleansed by the cycle of reincarnation.
It functions similarly to a Quirk from My Hero Academia, yet differs in one fundamental way: it draws directly from the user's mana or some other internal energy to activate. Unlike typical abilities, this power isn't something one is simply born with;
it is earned—unlocked only upon reaching Level 6.
And it has different side effects depending on the user.
Even now, its true nature remains a mystery.
V stared at the glowing system window before him, his expression unreadable.

V: Even so... I didn't think it would actually work.
He exhaled slowly, running a hand through his dark hair.
V: Well, this should be enough to survive against a Herrscher.
No need to complain about it.
His decision was made. There was no point in overthinking it.
Bracing himself, he pushed off the bed and rose to his feet—
V: Urgh...
A sharp pain surged through his body, muscles still aching from the forced adaptation.
V: (... looks like I'll need some time to adjust.)
With that thought, he steadied himself and stepped forward, leaving the room behind.

In dining room
V remained quiet, his body still aching from the aftermath.
He sat at the table, his fingers slightly trembling as he held a spoon.
Just as he took a breath, a soft yet concerned voice broke through the noise.
Mei:"V, are you okay?"
Mei voice was filled with worry.
At her words, the others—Theresa, Himeko, the Captain, Kiana, Bronya, and Fu Hua—turned their gazes toward him. He could feel their stares, but he didn't react much.
Instead, he exhaled lightly before answering.
V:"I'm fine. The wounds just haven't fully healed yet."
Fu Hua crossed her arms, studying him carefully.
Fu Hua:"You should rest more after this, Mr. Amano,"
she suggested in her usual calm tone.
V offered a small nod.
V:"Thanks. I'll try to get some rest later."
The Captain smirked, leaning back slightly.
Captain:"So, you're the stubborn-but-silent type huh? Didn't expect that."
Himeko:"Yeah,"
Himeko added with an amused chuckle.
Himeko:"I never thought that V would act like this."
Kiana folded her arms.
Kiana:"If you're in pain, just say it. It's better that way."
Mei frowned slightly.
Mei:"That was a bit harsh, Kiana."
Though she found Kiana's words a bit too direct, she couldn't completely disagree with them.
V shook his head.
V:"It's fine. The pain will fade soon enough."
But despite his composed response, the slight tremble in his hand as he gripped the spoon didn't go unnoticed.
To shift the conversation away from himself, he suddenly spoke.
V:"By the way, we still haven't named this ship yet, What do you guys think it should be called?"
At that, the group immediately became animated again.
Kiana:"Kaslana Star!"
Kiana declared confidently.
Bronya:"No,"
Bronya interjected.
Bronya:"Bronya believes Homu Star is better."
Theresa:"No way! It has to be The Flying Neko!!"
Theresa insisted, practically glowing with enthusiasm.
Himeko raised an eyebrow.
Himeko:"That's a weird name…"
Theresa shot her a look.
Theresa:"Then what would you call it?"
Himeko smirked, arms crossed.
Himeko:"How about… Drunk Phoenix?"
Mei:"I don't think that's a very appropriate name…"
V watched as they all debated, their energy filling the room.
Then, his gaze shifted to the Captain, who had been deep in thought all this time.
Just as V considered asking him, the Captain finally spoke.
Captain:"How about… Star Valkyrie?"
The room fell silent for a moment as everyone processed the name.
Theresa:"Not bad,"
Theresa admitted.
Fu Hua gave a small nod.
Fu Hua"I don't think it's a bad name."
Kiana:"That sounds awesome!! But I still think Kaslana Star sounds cooler"
Kiana beamed.
Bronya:"Bronya has no objections,"
Bronya added.
V watched their reactions, observing how they all seemed to agree on the name.
He let out a quiet breath,
V:(At least it's not something ridiculous...)
he thought, lifting his trembling hand to take a sip of water.
As the conversation continued around him, a thought passed through his mind—one that he hadn't truly acknowledged in a long time.
V:(Not a bad life...)
he mused to himself, the small smile lingering for just a moment longer.*
