Regina choked on her words, and by the end, her entire being was drenched in sorrow. Especially when she mentioned "the third wheel," the suffocating feeling made it hard for her to breathe.
Waldo's wolfish eyes suddenly fixed intently on Regina. The tears, which he had always despised, now stung his vision. That sharp, painful sensation immediately pierced deep into his heart.
"You want to leave me... is it because you truly want to, or because of my 'girlfriend'?" Waldo ignored the strange feeling inside him, his gaze burning with intensity as he locked eyes with Regina. When his words dropped, he clearly saw a flash of complex turmoil in her eyes.
Unconsciously, his thin lips curled into a cold, mocking smile. Then, in a voice thick with menace, he spoke slowly, "Regina, have you fallen for me?"
