Looking at Boggin, who stood in front of him with a submissive and respectful demeanor, Light wasn't overly satisfied. He also knew that Boggin had only submitted temporarily.
"Clean up the place! I'm going out to explore first!" Light tossed Boggin's wand back to him and then walked out of the store excitedly.
Boggin forced a smile and agreed. He watched Light leave the store and then started to clean up the messy place with a bitter face.
After walking out of the store, Light scanned his surroundings. What came into view was a small alley, dark and narrow. There was a pile of garbage in the corner, giving off a stench.
Walking on the streets of Knockturn Alley, the surrounding shops were all dim and eerie. In the windows of each shop, all kinds of strange human organs were on display.
In Knockturn Alley, various strange looks were fixed on the twelve - year - old boy strolling alone on the street, as if sizing up a prey.
But Light didn't feel panicked. Instead, he felt a strange excitement, like a goody - two - shoes suddenly going wild.
This was a place where the sun couldn't reach, the dark side hidden beneath the prosperity. Eight out of ten wizards living here were not good people.
Wizards wanted by the Ministry of Magic, uncontrolled werewolves, and even Death Eaters were all hiding in this dark place.
Light wandered around here for a while. Apart from the unfriendly looks from the people here, nothing like a robbery on the road happened.
'Probably the name of Borgin & Burkes still carried some weight here!' Light returned to the magic store calmly.
Just after the 'ding - ling - ling' sound of the bell on the door rang, "You're back, eh!" Boggin came up with a smiling face to greet Light, displaying his skill of being an opportunist to the fullest.
Light ignored Boggin. Instead, he aped Professor Snape, fixing a hollow stare on the fidgety Boggin.
"Put away your little tricks! The Eye of Observation can peek into the memory of the observed! I didn't want to go through all this trouble!" As Light spoke, he took out his wand and pointed it at the pendant hanging on Boggin's chest.
"No no no, it was an accident! Please give me another chance." Boggin almost knelt down and begged.
Boggin clearly knew that even with his wand in hand, he was definitely no match for this twelve - year - old boy in front of him.
While cleaning, he noticed that there were places attacked by his own Spells props. Besides these places, there were no traces of the Fiendfyre curse burning.
This meant that this troublesome customer could not only extinguish the Fiendfyre curse but also control it perfectly. No wizard would be his match in a direct confrontation.
"Alright! Then what are you going to pay for your offense?" Light smiled mysteriously, diving into Boggin's thoughts.
Looking at the mysterious Light in front of him, Boggin tremblingly took out a book from his bosom. There were strange patterns on the cover, which seemed to be some unknown characters upon closer inspection.
"This is a Dark Magic Spells book passed down in my family. It records many Spells that profane the soul." Boggin said, holding the book with trembling hands.
Light didn't say a word. Instead, he reached out his left hand and took the book.
The moment he touched the Spells book, black and red gas suddenly emerged from it continuously, instantly enveloping Light.
Seeing this, Boggin couldn't help grinning with ecstasy on his face. If he couldn't defeat Light openly, then he'd resort to underhanded tactics! The Spells book had a defensive Spells that could enslave souls. Without the corresponding blood - line, the defensive Spells on the book would be triggered.
Just as Boggin was happily thinking about how to torture Light later, a soft voice sounded.
"Thank you for giving me a reason to deal with you once and for all. Oh, by the way, the potion I gave you before was not poisoned. 'Soul Ejection!'"
Boggin looked at the figure glowing orange in front of him, his eyes full of confusion. What reason? Amid his confusion, he thought wasn't it Light who came looking for trouble first? The spirit's ghostly figure was struck out and floated in the air. Then a purple light appeared on the ghostly figure, connected to Light's wand, and then the spirit returned to his body!
"Master!" Boggin took back the Spells book he was holding and bowed respectfully to Light.
Seeing this, Light removed the protective Spells of All Spells End. Looking at the respectful Boggin curiously, he asked, "How do you feel now?"
"I feel great! Master!" Boggin replied mechanically with a blank look in his eyes.
"It seems less useful than I thought! And I have to always be on guard against him breaking free from control!" Looking at Boggin, who was like a puppet, Light couldn't help feeling a bit disgusted.
"Forget it. I don't care about that much. I just want to learn Alchemy. I didn't plan to control him all the time!" After a moment of disgust, Light let it go!
"Clean up a room for me. And don't call me master. Call me boss!" Light glanced at the outside sky and ordered Boggin.
"Okay, boss! I'll go clean it up now!" After saying that, Boggin mechanically turned around and left.
About half an hour later, Boggin, who had cleaned up the room, took Light on a tour of the shop at his order.
The whole shop consisted of two floors and a basement. The first floor sold magic items, while the second floor was the living area. There was also a basement hidden due to the illegal use of the Undetectable Extension Charm.
Boggin usually made Spells props in the basement, and all the Spells books were also hidden there.
On the second floor, beside the dining table!
Light looked at the "Basics of Alchemy" in his hand and listened to the rumbling sounds from the kitchen, frowning slightly.
"What the hell is this?" Looking at the wriggling purple - black mass on the plate, Light's face was full of complexity. "Damn it! I want to run away. What should I do?"
"This is an apple pie! Boss!" Boggin said respectfully.
"Do you always eat this?" Light frowned tightly and asked with a bit of disgust.
"No! This is my proudest work. I intended to offer it to you, boss!" Boggin said seriously.
Light looked at Boggin, who looked extremely loyal, with a strange look in his eyes, suspecting that this guy might have broken free from his control and was using this to disgust him.
"Just make what you usually eat. Don't be so serious!" Looking at Boggin's stiff expression, Light helplessly continued to order.
"Okay, boss!" After saying that, Boggin turned around and went to the kitchen.
About half an hour later, Boggin brought out a large plate of fish and chips and boiled potatoes.
"Boss, please have your meal!" Boggin put down the food in his hands and stood aside.
"Come on, let's have dinner together!" Light put down the book in his hands and looked at Boggin, who was standing there like a wooden stake.
"Sure!"
After the two of them had dinner in a hurry, Light followed Boggin to set up the defensive measures for the night.
As various defensive Spells were cast in combination, an invisible Spell barrier slowly rose and finally completely enveloped the shop.
To prevent Boggin from setting up measures to dispel Spells in his bedroom, Light specifically told him to tidy up two guest rooms. He didn't let Boggin go back to his original bedroom.
Guided by Boggin, Light came to the guest room and pushed the door open. The room was very simple, with only a bed, a desk, and a cabinet, and not much decoration.
