I just hope that Maverick is still alive
He thought this as he began to run in the cave, as soon as he came into the clearing, he saw a
shocking site
There was no beast, Maverick was still in the same position he was in when he left. The dense
aura was radiating from Maverick
"How is this even possible, only demons and demonic beast that have been alive for a millennia
radiate such suffocating aura's"
He spoke to himself, to say he was shocked would be an understatement.
"How is he still meditating, he should be done by now."
"When I said he should be done by morning I was taking into account that he was Royal, how is
this even possible."
Maverick was still in the same position as he had been since last night, meditating.
When it came to filling the sea of consciousness, one should understand that it took an
incredible amount if mental concentration because when one filled their sea they had to be
mentally present in their sea, this took a toll on the mind.
Beginners usually had a small sea of consciousness; it got bigger with every stage one passed and
constant usage.
This meant that it could easily be filled. But also, could be easily depleted if used carelessly.
Voldrak had expected Maverick to have a larger sea compared to the other first-time devils
because he was a royal, but this was way out of expectation.
He was still meditating, this meant that his sea was still not full otherwise he would have stopped
a long time or faced a backlash.
With this thought Voldrak, decided to sit and wait to see when Maverick would stop.
Meanwhile in Maverick's Sea of consciousness, his mind was floating above the sea, sitting in a
cross legged position looking as he tried to fill it.
From the looks of it he had filled about sixty percent from the time he began up to now.
To him this was a foreign experience, so it was fascinating and exciting.
"It took me about eight hours to fill sixty percent, that means I need about four and half hours to
fill it up if we continue at this speed "
With this he continued not knowing this was something extra ordinary
After four and half hours had filled his sea.
"Voldrak said that if I dive into my sea, I will find my core, that's where I can find out which types
of elements I can use"
"Let me check it out and see"
Maverick went into his sea and began to swim towards his core
He could see a faint light deep down and he assumed that was the core, he was correct.
It took him some time reach the core and what he saw was amazing
He saw a Pagoda that was two stories tall
It had a shiny green jade surface, the tile on the roof seemed like they were made of marble
He took some time admiring the sight before he decided to go inside to take a look. A small pearl
orb was set on an alter made of jade like material in the centre of the pagoda, he inched closer to
see
Maverick put his hands on the orb and a lot of information started to flow into his mind
Name: Zha'thikkar Ouroboros Khaoskkhraxys Korvyraxys
Elements: Water, Earth, wind, fire, lightning, ice and shadows
Royal Elements: Space magic, Time magic, Creation magic, Holy magic(corrupted) and Gravity
magic
What caught Maverick's attention was the name part, what did it mean? wasn't he already
named Maverick, that was his given name shouldn't that be the name that appears instead of the
one that's there.
He contemplated on it for a short time before he decided to throw it in the back of his mind for
the moment.
He had to take a look around this place, the jade and marble tile were so beautifully done it was
nothing short of amazing.
Other than the core on the alter and the spiral stairs that led to the second floor there was
nothing else on the first floor of the pagoda.
Maverick decided to explore the second floor to see what else he could find
After taking the stairs to the second floor what he saw was a jaw dropping sight.
There was a library, a colourful one at that.
There were aisles with shelves in which books and scrolls were orderly arranged.
"Wow, this is amazing"
"It almost looks like someone has been taking care of this place"
The shelves had different colours, blue, red, brown, yellow, green, white, purple, black, gold,
silver, grey and one with a purple and gold.
The shelves were also made of jade, but the colours of the shelves had an eerie feel to them,
almost like they were moving in spiral formation, this left goose bumps on Maverick's mental
body.
He took a book from the blue shelf to see what was inside.
"Water element: Basic introduction"
Maverick read the title and opened the book, inside there notes that gave a brief explanation on
the component that makes up water particles and the uses water had.
"Ooh I see; these are notes on water element."
"So, all these are notes on the water element, isn't this too much."
He picked up a scroll that was close to him and read.
"Apprentice spell; Water bullets"
The scroll gave a clear description of what the spell was about
"This is a spell with a low mana consumption rate, but it is also a beginner spell that was used by
apprentice mages and is not that strong against stronger opponent's".
"All you have to do is to create small spheres of water with a diameter of 9mm or less and shoot
them at the desired target."
"The amount of mana one has in their sea of consciousness determines the number of times the
spell can be used"
Maverick read the description of the spell, but he had one question.
"What are apprentice mages"
"I will have to ask Voldrak when I am done"
Maverick then continued to browse through all the spells and notes on other shelves.
