Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: The Intersection of Fate

Fifteen Minutes Before the World Trembled...

Satoru narrowed his eyes, staring intently at the system notification. His heart pounded as if he had just downed an entire bottle of extra-strong coffee.

Glowing golden letters flashed before his eyes, each word taunting his fragile nerves:

*Ting! A character from another world is about to descend.*

*Time remaining: 15 minutes.*

*Host, please prepare a proper welcome.*

"Proper welcome, my ass!"

Satoru's jaw dropped, and his fingers trembled as he rubbed his face in despair.

"It's finally happening…"

This was something he had both anticipated and dreaded.

A character from another world was coming.

Who would it be? A genius? A war god? Or… a complete game-breaking lunatic?!

Satoru swallowed hard, and as if his survival instincts kicked in, he clasped his hands together, looking up at the ceiling with teary eyes.

"Dear heavens above, oh mighty system, please have mercy."

"Please, do NOT send me some reckless maniac who does whatever they please."

"I beg you… don't summon Luffy, don't summon Goku, I'm begging you!!!"

---

**System:** "..."

---

He took a deep breath, recalling what those two names could mean.

Goku—who, if slightly bored, would fly off to fight in space and, in the process, cause a meteor shower to rain down on Konoha.

Luffy—who would devour the entire food supply of the village in three days and innocently laugh, "I'm still hungry!"

Satoru shuddered, breaking into a cold sweat as he imagined Kakashi being forced to open a ramen shop, while he himself was exiled from the village for causing economic collapse.

He muttered anxiously.

"System… I'm serious."

"If Luffy arrives, he will eat the village into ruin."

"If Goku arrives, he will ACCIDENTALLY DESTROY IT just for fun."

"Please… if you have any shred of humanity, at least send someone who has good morals, eats in moderation, and knows how to control their power!!!"

---

**System:** "Hmph... Satoru, you are cowardly… and extremely shameless."

---

Satoru: "??? WHO ARE YOU CALLING SHAMELESS, YOU DAMN SYSTEM?!"

He flared with indignation but… he couldn't refute it.

Because, truthfully, he *was* scared.

This world was far too fragile compared to the monsters from other universes!

For a moment, he tried to negotiate with the system.

An idea struck him.

He clapped his hands together, grinning with hope.

"System! Can you summon Sanji from One Piece?!"

---

**System:** "You wish."

---

"Think about it! If we had Sanji, I would get gourmet meals every day, and Kakashi wouldn't be forced into being the group's chef anymore!"

"On top of that, Sanji is a gentleman, kind, and honorable—he just has a slight weakness for women. *Perfect!*"

"Hey hey hey, aren't I the one saving your world? You owe me at least this much!"

Satoru was practically drooling at the thought of extravagant feasts, feeling as if his dream was finally within reach.

---

**System:** "... I may have misjudged this fool. Should I just send him back to his original world?"

---

A second later, the system spoke again, loud and clear:

"Not possible."

Satoru: "Damn it."

His dream of luxury dining crumbled to dust.

He sighed, rubbing his temples.

"Fine… if not Sanji, at least ensure it's not some mass murderer or a deranged lunatic."

He knew that anyone worthy of being summoned to another world wouldn't be ordinary.

There was no way they wouldn't be proud, rebellious, or outright insane.

Satoru took a deep breath, his gaze turning cold as he gripped Yubashiri's hilt.

If the newcomer was an ally, he would let them be.

But if they were a maniac, a rampaging beast…

He would eliminate them immediately.

Fifteen minutes stretched on like eternity.

Then suddenly…

The air trembled.

The sky darkened.

The wind stopped.

The sound of insects ceased.

Everything fell into an eerie, terrifying silence.

Satoru lifted his head, his sharp eyes scanning the room.

A strange aura emanated.

Not killing intent, not pressure, but a presence so profound it felt like the will of the universe itself had descended.

---

*BOOM—*

A faint, dark radiance appeared in the center of the room.

It wasn't bright, nor was it engulfing shadows.

It didn't feel like light, yet it wasn't entirely darkness.

It exerted no pressure, but it erased all of Satoru's senses.

He couldn't hear.

He couldn't see.

He couldn't feel.

As if a higher will had stripped everything away, leaving only a terrifying void.

Satoru *knew* this was the system's summoning process opening a space-time rift.

He thought grimly, "So this is the will of the world itself… This pressure is beyond description. Before this force, I am nothing but an ant."

Lost in the overwhelming emptiness, he barely registered the system's voice, speaking as if addressing the entity being summoned.

---

**System:**

"Oh chosen one, I bring you a trial."

"Open your heart, and embrace your fate."

---

Then…

---

*BOOM—*

A shadow stepped out from the light.

Lifeless eyes.

A firm, steady stride.

Satoru gritted his teeth, every muscle tensing.

He clenched his sword's hilt tightly, channeling *Chaki* into Yubashiri, its blade glowing with flickering blue-violet energy.

He didn't dare move recklessly.

But he was *ready*...

The moment he detected even a hint of hostility, he would strike without hesitation.

Because if he didn't, he might never get the chance again.

He had no certainty of victory.

---

"Who are you?"

Satoru's grip tightened on his sword, his gaze as cold as steel.

---

*Ting! Host has activated the 'Intersection of Fate' event.*
