Chapter 98 - Chapter 98: The Mist Village Ninja Delegation

A Strange System Notification

The next morning, before Satoru's eyes had even fully opened, a cold, emotionless voice echoed inside his head.

"Good morning, Satoru. We're glad you're still alive."

"…"

Satoru froze for a few seconds, then shot up in bed, clutching his forehead.

"Hey—seriously, System?! Can you stop starting my day with a damn curse?! Is it your mission in life to jinx me first thing every morning?!"

The System, as always, ignored his outrage and continued with its robotic monotone.

"System Announcement: In three days, a new character will descend from another time-space continuum."

"…!!!"

Satoru was instantly wide awake, sitting bolt upright, eyes tense.

"Again?! What is this world—an airport for cross-dimensional travelers?! First Eren, now someone else?! Don't tell me it's Luffy or Goku next… or worse… someone even more terrifying than both?!"

He rubbed his temples, brain already racing. If Eren came from a world of tragedy and warfare, then what would the next guest bring?

"Also, I'm a ninja, not some multiverse receptionist! Why am I the one greeting all these universe-hoppers?!"

Grumbling to himself, he shoved the thought aside. There was something more urgent today—

The delegation from the Hidden Mist Village was arriving.

Satoru & Eren – Setting Out

By the time the sun had risen high, Satoru and Eren stood before Konoha's front gate. The entire Konoha Academy faculty, several Jonin, the Third Hokage, and even Danzo were present—

Everyone dressed formally, exuding respect and gravity for the important event ahead.

• Hiruzen Sarutobi stood tall in his red ceremonial robe bearing the Flame symbol. His pipe rested calmly in one hand.

• Renji, former ANBU swordsman, wore a sharp, simple black outfit. The edge of his long blade peeked from his waist.

• Eren, though not from this world, now wore the official Konoha uniform. It suited him more than expected—though his piercing eyes still scanned everything like a beast ready to strike.

• Satoru, silver hair fluttering in the breeze, retained his usual lazy expression—but beneath it, his eyes were locked in sharp focus.

From afar, figures began emerging through the morning mist—swift, quiet, but growing clearer with every step.

The Warriors of the Hidden Mist

Leading the group was Kushimaru Kuriarare—one of the legendary Seven Swordsmen of the Mist.

• He wore jet-black gear, his face hidden behind a demonic white mask—only his piercing eyes visible.

• Slung over his shoulder was Nuibari, the long, needle-like sword of death and precision.

• Every step he took was silent—but radiated lethal pressure, like a predator that had already marked its prey.

Behind him marched five young shinobi—not yet adults, but exuding a level of killing intent that made even Konoha Jonin tense.

• Mei Terumi, a red-brown-haired girl with sharp eyes and a strangely alluring presence, even at her age.

• She hadn't unleashed her full strength yet—but the Lava Release chakra seeping off her was already fearsome.

• Zabuza Momochi, cold eyes like sharpened blades. A massive bandaged sword rested on his back.

• His very stance screamed one word: assassin.

• Kubina, a new face even Satoru had never heard of.

• A silver-haired boy with icy blue eyes.

• His body radiated a bone-chilling aura.

• He possessed the rare Ice Release kekkei genkai—a fusion of Water and Wind. The kind of power that only the Mist Village could birth in silence.

• Ameyuri Ringo, a wild-eyed girl with a hint of madness in her grin.

• On her back were the Kiba Twin Swords, crackling with lightning even at rest.

• Born to fight, bred to kill.

• And the one that made Satoru's instincts go on full alert—Kisame Hoshigaki.

• Unlike the others, he looked more beast than boy.

• Towering above the rest, with spiked blue-gray hair, shark-like teeth, and massive chakra that dwarfed even Konoha's elite Jonin.

• A living monster.

Satoru narrowed his eyes.

"This one… He's not a shinobi. He's a walking, breathing disaster…"

A Fated Meeting

As the Mist ninja drew closer, the Third Hokage stepped forward, dignified yet welcoming.

"Welcome, shinobi from the Village Hidden in the Mist. We are honored to host such promising young warriors."

Kushimaru Kuriarare gave only a silent nod. His gaze swept over the Konoha lineup like a blade.

Satoru, standing just behind the Hokage, locked eyes with the Mist prodigies in front of him.

Each one of them carried a pressure far beyond their years.

Inside, he couldn't help but think—

"This isn't just a friendly meeting… It's a gathering of monsters in disguise."

And thus, the meeting between two powerful new generations—Konoha and the Mist—had officially begun.
