Turning the Babylonians into my followers was quite simple... As I looked towards the crowd which hadn't died at all, I had already made up a plan before all this started.
Yes, I had intentionally ordered the Golems not to kill the ruling class. Since the people had noticed that the Golems only attacked them and not the nobles, they must have been frustrated, but my arrival had suppressed that emotion.
"People of Babylon..." I started, and once again the entire populace turned silent to listen to me...
"Although this time the servants of the Celestial Demon sneaked in... there were also some humans assisting them from within... Such a sin is intolerable... betrayal of your very own people... such filthy people don't deserve second chances..." I said, loudly, attracting the attention of the commoners.
They had suspected that the nobles had colluded with the attackers, and me saying this was the final nail. No matter what the nobles say now, or no matter what proof they give, they are going to get mauled by the angry mob.
"To sacrifice your own people for the false promises made by the servants of the Celestial Demon... is your greed really worth more than the lives of your people? Or did you never consider their lives important in the first place?" I asked loudly, igniting the fury amongst the populace even more.
I didn't notice who made the first shout, but soon, everyone was shouting and cursing at the nobles, who seemed to try to defend themselves in a panic, but someone just threw the first stone... and soon it started raining upon them.
"Wait!" I said loudly, causing everyone to stop. The nobles looked at me with hope, thinking that I had stopped the commoners to save them. They started begging me, claiming that they did no such thing, and for me to save them...
Well... they were actually innocent... but they needed to go... People in power cannot be truly subservient... they are far too corrupted by it to change, and if I want to bring drastic changes to Babylon, I will need to bring about a change in leadership...
And what better way to do that than to create a blessing... only one blessed and judged worthy by my blessing can become the king, and he can also grant some powers to others through it. Of course, there would be a catch... the very same blessing which would be an identifier of their king would also be a controller placed amongst them.
If I control their leader, and the leader grants some powers to the nobility, then I would have effectively controlled the entire nobility for generations to come. No need to worry about anything then, since, for humans of the current time, once you rule the ruling class, you rule over everyone.
"Their crimes are grave... grave enough to be personally judged by me, but not all of them are convicted. Some are innocent... Search and bring every member of the nobility in Babylon here. I will personally judge the ones in the wrong, and no innocent shall be harmed." Hearing my words, the people were once again impressed by my kindness. After all, even when they all jumped to make decisions themselves, I ensured to think of a way which satisfied everyone...
Now, the people of Babylon are getting their revenge. The nobility are in doubt, and each of them thinks that they are the innocent one here, and some of the others have really colluded with the demons... They think they can be saved now... Truly, everyone was happy with my decision, except perhaps maybe the mob who wanted some action...
"Lord, we have brought each and every noble here, without missing a single one!" someone came and told me excitedly, and yes, the nobles were all here now...
'Raph, judge which amongst these should be kept alive... and then we can bless them.' I ordered Raph to discover which amongst them should continue to live.
[Yes, Master. Making preliminary judgement based on whatever information can be collected.]
[Judgement complete.]
'Okkk, and?' I asked impatiently.
[Most of them are better off disposed, and the ones innocent are mostly children, so we can leave most of them. And since children are easier to train, they are actually a much better option than adults in this aspect. Their only con might be that they take too long to become of proper use.]
'Okay, then just mark whoever needs to be kept alive.'
[Okay, Master.]
And as Raphael did her job, in my vision, the nobles turned into red and green-coloured people in my eyes... Green for friends and red for enemies.
I, looking at them, decided to stop my purge. And five minutes later, there were almost no nobles left alive... And those that were alive were traumatized for their lives, probably...
Anyways, since the nobles were clear, it was time for me to deliver another speech.
"Babylonians... with the traitors gone, you can create a new start... So, how do you want your new government to be?" I asked, loudly.
"Lord Magnar... should we really keep them alive? Isn't it better to off them?" asked someone, stating their concerns about the remaining nobles...
"They were innocent... even if their family all drifted towards the Celestial Demon, they resisted and stood firm on the path of goodness." I praised them out loud.
"So, you haven't told me... How would you create your new government?" I asked once again, this time expecting the answer.
And after much deliberation, they once again came up with the same leader form of government. Elections took place again, in which only the elites appeared to vote, and soon a leader was decided, who, hoping to impress me, kneeled before me the first thing after being selected as the leader.
"Hmmm... for your new life, Babylonians... I have decided to grant you all... my blessings!" I shouted, changing the mood entirely, and bringing forth a festive atmosphere.
