Chapter 2: A Chance Encounter
Ethan's eyes locked onto Roman's, the connection between them palpable. They stood there for a moment, hands clasped, the noise of the party fading into the background.
Roman was the first to break the silence, his voice low and smooth. "It's nice to meet you, Ethan."
Ethan smiled, feeling a spark of attraction. "Likewise, Roman."
As they stood there, Ethan couldn't help but notice the way Roman's eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled. Or the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck.
Roman, too, was taking in Ethan's features. The sharp jawline, the piercing blue eyes, the chiseled lips.
Their gazes met again, and this time, Ethan felt a jolt of electricity run through his veins. It was as if the entire world had melted away, leaving only the two of them.
"Would you like to get out of here?" Ethan asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Roman's eyes sparkled with mischief. "I'd love to."
Without another word, Ethan took Roman's hand, leading him through the crowded rooftop and down into the cool night air.
As they walked, the sounds of the party grew fainter, replaced by the hum of the city. Ethan felt Roman's hand fit snugly into his, their fingers intertwining like they were meant to be.
They walked for blocks, the tension between them building with every step. Ethan couldn't remember the last time he'd felt this way about someone.
Finally, they stopped in front of a sleek black car, parked by the curb. Ethan opened the door, gesturing for Roman to get in.
As Roman slid into the passenger seat, Ethan felt a pang of excitement. He had no idea where the night would take them, but he was eager to find out.
Ethan got behind the wheel, starting the engine. The car purred to life, and they glided smoothly into the night.
The city lights blurred together as they drove, the only sound the hum of the engine and the occasional passing car.
Ethan glanced over at Roman, who was watching him with an intensity that made his heart skip a beat.
"Where are we going?" Roman asked, his voice low and husky.
Ethan smiled, feeling a sense of freedom. "Anywhere you want."
Roman's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Surprise me."
Ethan laughed, feeling a sense of excitement. He had no idea what the night held, but he was ready for anything.
As they drove, the city gave way to the outskirts, the buildings growing farther apart. Ethan turned off the main road, heading down a winding country road.
The trees closed in around them, casting deep shadows that made it seem like they were the only two people in the world.
Ethan felt Roman's hand brush against his, sending shivers down his spine. He glanced over, seeing Roman's eyes locked on his.
Their gazes met, and Ethan felt the air seem to vibrate with tension. He knew, in that moment, that he wanted Roman.
He wanted him with a fierce intensity that he couldn't ignore.
Ethan's heart pounded in his chest as he pulled over, stopping the car on the side of the road.
The trees loomed above them, casting deep shadows that seemed to pulse with the beat of Ethan's heart.
Roman turned to him, his eyes sparkling with curiosity. "What's wrong?"
Ethan's voice was barely above a whisper. "I couldn't keep driving."
Roman's eyes locked on his, and Ethan felt the air seem to vibrate with tension.
"Why not?" Roman asked, his voice low and husky.
Ethan's heart pounded in his chest. "Because I wanted to kiss you."
Roman's eyes sparkled with surprise, and then, a slow smile spread across his face.
"I wanted you to," Roman said, his voice barely above a whisper.
Ethan's heart skipped a beat as Roman leaned in, their lips meeting in a soft, sweet kiss.
The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the magic of their first kiss.
