Chapter 31: Apologies (Continued)
As the days went by, Ethan and Roman's business continued to thrive. They were working hard to keep up with demand, but they were determined to make it work.
One day, as they were working in their office, Ethan's phone rang. He answered it, listening for a moment before his expression changed.
"What's wrong?" Roman asked, noticing the look on Ethan's face.
Ethan hesitated before speaking. "It's my brother," he said. "He's in town and wants to meet up."
Roman raised an eyebrow. "That's unexpected," he said.
Ethan nodded. "I know. I haven't seen him in years."
Roman could sense the tension in Ethan's body. "Do you want to meet up with him?" he asked.
Ethan hesitated before nodding. "I think I should," he said.
Roman nodded in agreement. "I'll come with you," he said.
Ethan smiled, grateful for Roman's support. "Thanks," he said.
The next day, Ethan and Roman met up with Ethan's brother at a coffee shop. The atmosphere was tense, but Ethan was determined to make amends.
As they sat down at a table, Ethan's brother looked at him with a mixture of anger and sadness. "I'm not sure why I'm here," he said.
Ethan took a deep breath before speaking. "I wanted to apologize," he said. "For everything that happened in the past."
His brother raised an eyebrow. "You think a simple apology will fix everything?" he asked.
Ethan shook his head. "No, I don't. But I want to try to make things right."
Roman reached out and put a hand on Ethan's arm. "We're here to listen," he said.
Ethan's brother looked at Roman, then back at Ethan. "I appreciate that," he said.
As they talked, Ethan and his brother began to work through their issues. It wasn't easy, but they were determined to make progress.
After a few hours, they finally began to make amends. Ethan's brother forgave him, and they started to rebuild their relationship.
As they left the coffee shop, Ethan turned to Roman with tears in his eyes. "Thank you," he said.
Roman smiled and put his arms around Ethan. "I'm always here for you," he said.
Ethan hugged Roman back, feeling grateful for his love and support.
