He asked about her dreams for the future, her goals, and the kind of life she wanted to build. Laila, in turn, found herself opening up more than she had expected. Something about Raphael felt warm and sincere.
Although Raphael was a little awkward at times… mostly due to his limited social experience outside the werewolf clan. Laila found his efforts endearing. She already knew he was a good person, someone who meant well even if he didn't always find the right words.
