Kael kept his focus ahead, refusing to glance down. He could hear Sienna's breath hitch beside him, feel the way her fingers dug into his arm. Behind them, Elias muttered under his breath.
"This is a terrible idea."
Sienna, still gripping Kael's arm, shot back, "You've had worse."
Darius huffed out a quiet laugh. "That doesn't make it better."
