"Puhah~ That hit the spot!"
With a loud gulp of soda, Marisa sprawled out on the floor in pure satisfaction.
The lingering spiciness and rich aroma of meat still danced on her tongue, while her stomach basked in unprecedented contentment.
Glancing to the side, she saw Reimu in a similar daze, lying on her back, occasionally rubbing her overstuffed belly.
The earlier fear of punishment had all but dissipated, along with their willpower.
Eating this well was worth any torment that followed.
"Haaah… haaah…"
On the other side, Patchouli was softly exhaling, fanning her mouth with her delicate hands to dispel the spiciness.
Though the heat was intense, her entire body now felt warm and cozy. A light sheen of sweat graced her forehead, and a faint, enticing blush bloomed on her fair cheeks.
"Is… is there still some soda left?"
"Here, take it easy."
Rin handed her another bottle, which she promptly chugged down.
As the spiciness subsided, she let out a long sigh of relief.
"Boss Rin, I want some too~"
"You still have half a bottle left. No wasting food—finish your lamb first."
Rin shot Yukari a look before placating her by adding a few more slices of lamb to her plate.
Meanwhile, he busied himself with packing up some food.
"Reimu, what does your mom like to eat?"
"A bit of everything. She's like me, not picky."
Reimu waved lazily, attempting to sit up and help, but after struggling for a bit, she gave up.
However, before Rin could pack much, a pair of chopsticks sneakily reached toward his portion.
Smack!
"Oww~ Boss Rin, can't you be a little more gentle with us ladies?"
"Come on now, why are you always eyeing someone else's bowl?"
"Well, seeing you so close, I thought you were going to feed me~"
"Fine, open your mouth."
Rin picked up a small piece of shrimp paste and held it to her lips. Yukari's teasing smile stiffened for a brief moment.
A flicker of something unidentifiable flashed in her bewitching violet eyes, but she quickly masked it, grabbing the morsel with her chopsticks and eating it herself.
"Boss, you're getting greedy~ I already introduced you to a wife, and now you've snatched up three for yourself. Are you even eyeing me now?"
"But humans are such fragile creatures, you know. You should be careful, or you might wear yourself out~"
She playfully poked his waist, tickling him into dodging away while subtly tucking a strand of hair behind her ear to hide her reddening earlobes.
From her spot in the distance, Reimu silently observed Yukari's small movements, her expression turning strangely thoughtful.
Was this old hag actually getting flustered?
Smack!
"Ow—!"
A folded fan "accidentally" landed on Reimu's forehead, making her wince in pain.
"Oops, my hand slipped."
"Understandable. You are getting old—mff!"
Before she could finish, Yukari pressed a pillow against her face with a not-so-innocent grin.
Patchouli silently watched their antics, her mind running wild with dramatic plots of tragic mansion love affairs.
Marisa would be the first to be eliminated—she was too dense, clearly just a fool destined to be a throwaway love interest!
Still, at least she was more competent than Remilia. That tiny vampire was just embarrassing.
Her gaze instinctively drifted to Marisa, only to be stunned.
'She was already asleep?! Was her heart that unbothered?' While Patchouli remained baffled, Marisa unconsciously shifted into a curled-up position, letting out a content sigh in her sleep.
Noticing this, Reimu immediately perked up. In a flash, she sat up and started helping Rin pack.
"This should be enough—add some rice."
"Got it."
"Thanks, Boss! If there's nothing else, I'll head out first. My mom's probably starving."
"See you later, Boss!"
Grabbing the food container, Reimu bolted for the door without a second's hesitation.
Perhaps worried about waking Marisa, she even softened her footsteps.
Rin watched her escape with an odd expression, then looked down at Marisa, who remained blissfully unaware on the floor.
Feeling a twinge of guilt, he lowered his voice and whispered,
"Marisa~ Reimu's about to run away. Aren't you going to chase her?"
"..."
Patchouli and the others twitched at the sheer thunderous volume of his "whisper."
Any quieter, and it might as well have been mosquito buzz.
With a sigh, they chose to ignore him.
Not their problem, anyway!
Once full and satisfied, Patchouli elegantly dabbed her lips before turning to Rin.
"Boss, do you have any spare clothes?"
"I got dragged here without packing anything…"
At the mention of this, her face darkened. Sakuya would pay for this later.
"You can grab new underwear from the shelves. As for clothes, I only have the employee uniform. Wear that for now, and I'll head to the Scarlet Devil Mansion tomorrow morning to get your things."
"Thanks."
With a sigh, Patchouli slowly rose and made her way to the general store.
Just a few more days, and she'd finally be free.
Watching her retreating figure, Yukari smirked as she ruffled Chen's hair.
"Boss Rin, where's our room?"
"Chen's is at the end of the hall—there are two beds and all the necessities."
"Oh my~ How thoughtful. You'll make a great husband someday."
"Since you've been so considerate tonight, if some strange noises happen later, I might just pretend I didn't hear anything~"
Ignoring Rin's protest, Yukari led Chen away, still teasing.
However, as she disappeared down the hallway, Rin's lips curled into a knowing smirk.
This woman clearly had no idea what kind of nighttime menace Marisa could be.
With that in mind, he grabbed Marisa's ankle and began dragging her along.
Yet despite all this movement, Marisa remained dead asleep, occasionally giggling like she was having the best dream ever.
Meanwhile, up ahead, Yukari suddenly tensed.
Just before stepping into her room, she caught sight of Rin hauling Marisa into the neighboring one.
Her pupils contracted slightly.
Without hesitation, she grabbed Chen and used a gap to teleport—straight into Patchouli's room.
