Chapter 10 - UA Entrance Exam-1

"Hurry up!" Jirou's voice echoed through the hall, urgency clear in her tone.

From upstairs, the sounds of crashing, tumbling, and frantic movement filled the house.

Tetsuo, already dressed and waiting by the door, let out a long sigh. His elbow rested on his knee, his head propped up by his palm.[ Evangelion-style pose of regret.]

Oh, how much he regretted this decision.

Last Night

"Hey, kiddo! How about I drop you off at the exam center?" Kaminari grinned, jabbing his thumb at himself.

"Don't do it, Tetsuo," Jirou warned, arms crossed. "You'll never get there on time—he's always late when it matters."

"Oh, come on! I'll wake up just in time!" Kaminari shot back.

Tetsuo hesitated. He knew Jirou had a point, but something about Kaminari's enthusiasm made it hard to say no.

"Let's give him a chance, Aunt Jirou," he said, forcing a small, uncertain smile.

Jirou sighed. "Don't do this, kid."

"Please, Jirou," Kaminari added, flashing his best puppy-dog eyes.

Tetsuo joined in, adding a few words of persuasion.

Finally, Jirou shook her head in surrender. "Fine. Just don't come crying to me when you're late."

Present Time

The warning echoed in Tetsuo's mind as he sat there, contemplating his life choices.

Upstairs, after what sounded like a small natural disaster, Kaminari finally stumbled down, fully dressed.

"Alright, let's go!" he announced, rushing to the garage.

As Tetsuo followed, his eyes widened at the sight before him—a sleek, jet-black Dodge Hellcat purred in the driveway, its polished surface reflecting the morning light.

For a second, his regret lessened.

Damn. This might actually be worth it.

"Hop in, kiddo," Kaminari smirked, cracking his knuckles. "Lemme show you why 'Bolt' is in my hero name."

Something about that grin made Tetsuo uneasy.

Still, he climbed into the passenger seat.

"Alright, let's—"

VROOOOM!

Before he could finish, the Hellcat lurched forward, tires screeching as Kaminari gunned it onto the road.

What followed was two and a half hours of pure, high-speed chaos—drifting through tight corners, weaving through traffic at questionably legal speeds, and more near-death experiences than Tetsuo could count.

At one point, Tetsuo was certain he had started praying for himself.

"BRO, SLOW DOWN!" he screamed, gripping the seatbelt so tight his fingers hurt.

"Relax, kid! I got this," Kaminari said with a dangerous level of confidence.

Just then, he took a sharp drift on the highway, cutting through three lanes at once. The tires screeched so violently Tetsuo felt his soul leave his body.

"I swear I just saw my life flash before my eyes!"

Kaminari ignored him, cranking up the radio.

"What are you doing?!" Tetsuo yelled.

"Picking a vibe, man. Can't be Tokyo Drifting in silence!"

'I wonder if you knowHow they live in Tokyo (はい!)If you seen it, then you mean it'

Just as he found a song, a truck loomed ahead.

"LOOK OUT!"

Kaminari swerved at the last second, cutting through two cars, narrowly missing the divider.

Tetsuo let out a high-pitched wheeze. "I THINK I JUST MET MY ANCESTORS!"

Kaminari chuckled. "Told ya, man—Bolt's in my hero name for a reason."

Tetsuo wiped sweat from his forehead.

By the time they reached U.A.'s examination center, Tetsuo stumbled out of the car, pale, weak, and questioning his existence.

Kaminari, on the other hand, stepped out casually, stretching his arms.

"See? Told ya we'd make it on time."

Tetsuo glared at him, visibly trembling. "You're a menace to society."

Kaminari clapped him on the back. "Eh, you'll be fine. Now go crush that exam, kiddo!"

Tetsuo took a deep breath, trying to recenter his soul.

He was never letting Kaminari drive him again.

"Do your best and push through, okay?" Kaminari said, his voice steady.

Tetsuo nodded, swallowing his nerves. "I will."

Just as he reached for the door handle, Kaminari suddenly reached over and ruffled his hair.

"Relax. You got this."

Tetsuo let out a small grin. This was Kaminari's way of motivating him.

Still not letting him drive anytime soon, though.

With a deep breath, he stepped out, heading toward the exam center.

Meanwhile, Kaminari pulled into a parking spot before making his way toward the invigilator cubicle, where the pro heroes and faculty monitored the exam from above.

Inside the observation room, Kaminari joined Midoriya and Aizawa.

Izuku Midoriya – the No. 3 Hero, "Deku," and now a senior teacher at U.A.

Shota Aizawa – "Eraserhead," the Principal of U.A.

Midoriya glanced over as Kaminari approached, his sharp green eyes locked onto the exam hall below. "Kaminari! It's good to see you here."

"You too, man," Kaminari replied, pulling Midoriya into a brief hug. "How's Uraraka?"

Midoriya chuckled. "Still bubbly." He nodded toward the floor below. "So, Tetsuo's taking the exam, huh?"

Kaminari nodded. "Yeah."

Aizawa, who had been quietly watching the exchange, finally spoke. "How's it going, Denki?"

Kaminari flashed a grin. "Trying to do better, Aizawa-sensei."

Midoriya returned his focus to the exam hall, where Tetsuo was seated, writing his paper.

Beside him sat a girl with messy hair and lazy eyes, Airi Aizawa.

Standing at the front of the hall was Koji Koda—the pro hero "Anima," who was acting as their examiner.

Kaminari crossed his arms, a proud smile on his face. "He'll pass with ease."

Midoriya smirked. "You're really rooting for him, huh?"

Kaminari leaned against the railing, watching Tetsuo intently. "He's had it tough… but he's got a golden heart, Midoriya."

Midoriya nodded. "We'll see."

Aizawa, as always, remained silent, his calculating gaze locked onto the students below.

Also rooting for his daughter

" You can do this, Airi."

Both Midoriya and Kaminari were in conversation when someone entered the room from behind

" Kaminari san," came a sweet and soft spoken voice from behind

Kaminari and Deku turned around and saw the figure standing behind them

"It's been a while, Eri-chan."
