"Wow, with this, we'll never get caught by Filch during our night excursions again!"
Dana remained indifferent to the twins' excitement.
In the original story, even with the Marauder's Map, these two still got caught by Filch and the professors multiple times. It wasn't that they couldn't avoid them, but rather that they chose not to. The Weasley twins thrived on mischief and weren't exactly cautious—more often than not, they teased Filch rather than evading him.
They weren't exactly well-behaved kids.
And now, with the Marauder's Map in hand, they would certainly make full use of it.
"Let's go. We're heading to the Slytherin common room."
He could have gone alone, but he deliberately brought the twins along.
The reason?
The twins were familiar with Hogwarts.
Their knowledge would save him a great deal of exploration time. And besides, after the kindness they had shown him earlier, he didn't mind returning the favor.
The Slytherin common room and dormitories were located in the dungeons beneath Hogwarts—a space once used for imprisoning enemies during the Middle Ages.
The war between wizards and Muggles was a long and bloody history, and back then, Hogwarts wasn't just a school—it was a fortress.
A place of learning. A place of war.
"We're here, Dana."
They stood before a blank stretch of wall near the dungeon's entrance.
Dana examined it carefully. Unlike the game Hogwarts Legacy, where the Slytherin entrance was a grand stone serpent arch, this entrance appeared completely ordinary.
Hogwarts, in reality, was far grander and more complex than what the movies or games depicted.
"What now, Dana?" Fred whispered. "Do we wait for a Slytherin on a night stroll and listen for their password?"
The twins were used to sneaky methods. They knew Dana could use the Disillusionment Charm, so their instinct was to eavesdrop.
It was a solid plan.
But Dana had a better one.
"No need for that," he said calmly.
Stepping forward, he faced the wall and said:
"Pure-blood."
At once, two stone-carved serpents emerged from the wall, twisting together into an archway. A wooden door materialized within it.
Fred and George's jaws dropped.
"Merlin's beard! Dana, how did you know the Slytherin password?!"
Dana shrugged and made up a casual excuse.
"There are plenty of Slytherin graduates in Azkaban," he said. "They told me that the passwords to the common room are always one of a few choices—'Pure-blood,' 'Glory,' 'Elegance,' 'Ambition'... I just took a guess."
Fred whistled. "Wow. So basically… Azkaban is a treasure trove of Hogwarts secrets?"
Heh. If only they knew.
Dana didn't refute the claim. Instead, he pushed open the door and strode into Slytherin territory.
Inside, the Slytherin common room was dimly lit, the eerie green glow from the Black Lake filtering through large crystal windows. The stone walls were adorned with ancient tapestries, depicting serpents and dark wizarding triumphs.
The moment they stepped inside, Dana whispered,
"We're still under the Disillusionment Charm. Moving together is risky—let's split up. Meet back here in half an hour."
Fred and George nodded eagerly.
"Got it!"
"Blimey, this is the best adventure yet!"
The three silently parted ways.
Dana walked straight toward a familiar voice.
Dunat Avery was in the corner of the common room, bragging to two Slytherin girls.
"You know, our Avery family is one of the greats in the wizarding world! And since my uncle died early, and my cousin is wanted by the Ministry of Magic, this family business is going to be mine sooner or later."
The two girls giggled, their eyes full of admiration. They weren't from prestigious families—if they could attach themselves to the Avery name, they would be elevated in Slytherin's social circles.
How pathetic.
Dana silently observed.
He listened for a while, but quickly realized that Dunat wouldn't reveal anything valuable while showing off to girls.
Time to try another method.
Moving silently, Dana crouched down behind Dunat's chair.
He slowly raised his wand and pressed it against Dunat's back.
Close. Almost touching the fabric.
Then he whispered,
"Imperio."
A soft, nearly invisible glow pulsed from the wand.
Dunat's eyes glazed over.
One of the Slytherin girls frowned. "Dunat, what's wrong?"
He blinked, his face relaxing.
"Oh, nothing," he said smoothly. "I just feel fantastic tonight."
The girls giggled again.
Dunat stood up.
"I have some business to take care of. But let's talk again soon, alright?"
The girls eagerly agreed, and Dunat walked toward the far side of the room, where a large crystal window overlooked the Black Lake.
And there, sitting near the window, was Marcus Flint—Slytherin's Quidditch Captain.
Flint was talking with his teammates, boasting:
"If you ask me, we are winning the Quidditch Cup this year!"
"Obviously! The other houses are a joke!"
"Well, except for that Cedric Diggory in Hufflepuff… He's actually pretty good."
"Pfft! Hufflepuff? Please. What impact can a Hufflepuff possibly have on us?"
"You'd be surprised—some are from strong families. It's not just about talent."
"Bah, you're thinking too much!"
At that moment, Dunat Avery approached.
"Marcus, got a minute?"
Flint smirked. "Of course, Dunat. What's up?"
The two stepped aside, unaware of Dana lurking behind them.
Dunat, under the Imperius Curse, asked,
"Your family has an antique dealer named John Flint, right?"
Marcus nodded. "Yeah. Why?"
"Do you know where he is now?"
Flint scratched his chin. "Haven't seen him for three or four years, but I remember he lives near Ponthas Town. Our family has a vineyard there—he stays in the mountains behind it."
"Thanks."
Flint smirked. "Hey, why are you being so polite? You drunk or something?"
Dana, hidden in the shadows, smirked.
Now he had John Flint's location.
Dunat Avery, still under Dana's control, walked toward the grandfather clock near the dormitory entrance.
No one was nearby.
It was time for real questions.
Dana didn't need to ask out loud—he could command Imperius-bound targets mentally.
Inside Dunat's mind, Dana issued orders:
"I know about Goyle Avery's escape. You helped him flee to France. Tell me everything."
Dunat answered immediately, his voice low and mechanical.
"I arranged his escape on a Muggle ship. He's in hiding."
"Who in the Ministry of Magic helped your grandfather frame me?"
"I don't know. My grandfather made all the decisions."
"Where is Donna Avery?"
"She only appears at the annual family gathering. But every year, she looks sicker and sicker…"
Dana exhaled softly.
Besides confirming Guy Avery's location, there was nothing useful here.
Still, it was something.
Dunat wobbled slightly, standing still.
Dana adjusted his grip on his wand, then murmured,
"Obliviate."
A bright flash.
Dunat's eyes rolled back—then he collapsed unconscious.
Dana smirked.
Now, Dunat wouldn't remember a thing.
