Felix took a deep breath, before raising his hand, and knocking on the door. "Hello? Is anyone there?"
He held his breath, focusing all of his attention on listening, but there was no sound coming from the inside. Only rustling of the trees behind the house, TV noise from one of the neighbors, and sounds of cars driving in the distance.
Once again, he had no luck.
A disappointed sigh escaped Felix's mouth. He was hoping that maybe, just maybe, the witch would finally show up in front of him, since she helped him back when he was attacked by the rogue… But was it just a fluke? That the witch was just passing by, and took pity on him? Because the days passed by, and she still refused to meet Felix. Remi also remained silent and uncooperative…
Felix tried again, but it was no use. The house was deathly still and quiet, and he couldn't sense any presence either… Except that of a certain annoyance down the street, approaching quickly in his direction.
