Xu Yuan was elected class monitor without a hitch.

As for the two vice-class monitors, after discussions between Wu Changkong and Shen Yi, the positions were ultimately given to Wu Siduo and Tang Wulin.

Initially, Wu Changkong had wanted Gu Yue to take one of the spots since her strength surpassed Tang Wulin's. However, she hadn't even mustered the courage to fight Xu Yuan during the battles, which could easily lead to resentment from her classmates. Thus, Tang Wulin was chosen instead.

Regarding Gu Yue, Wu Changkong was quite troubled. He didn't know how to manage her, especially since she had joined the Spirit Pagoda and would eventually leave Shrek Academy. Forcing her departure might antagonize a future powerhouse, while compelling her to conform to Shrek's logic could result in an unhappy outcome.

Fortunately, though Gu Yue acted independently, she still cooperated with normal arrangements.

As for the four committee positions, they naturally all went to Xu Yuan.

The workload of class officers wasn't heavy; their roles mainly involved coordinating tasks within their respective fields. The positions of class monitor and vice-class monitor were more symbolic than functional. In most cases, when Grade 1 Class 1 faced off against other classes or grades, the class monitor and vice-class monitors would take the lead.

The committee members were responsible for coordinating students' secondary professions. When classmates needed partners for battle armor crafting, they recommended and guided the formation of small teams to collaborate on the process.

With Xu Yuan holding all four committee positions, his workload not only didn't increase but actually became more convenient due to the interconnected nature of the roles. There was no need for meetings or discussions with other committee members.

One-man rule.

Very comfortable.

The election of class officers concluded, but the subsequent competition continued.

Yang Nianxia and others challenged Tang Wulin, only to be defeated by him.

At Level 32, Tang Wulin, bolstered by the bloodline power of the Golden Dragon King, was unafraid of facing four prodigies from the Youth Genius Rankings.

This challenge lasted for a full two weeks.

After two weeks, Xu Yuan had grown accustomed to life in the outer court.

Beep beep beep~

Xu Yuan retracted his Tianyuan Five Elements Spear and returned to his room. Seeing the contact name on his soul-guided communicator, he let out a sigh of relief.

Thanks to his multitasking abilities, he could simultaneously cultivate in the outside world and study in the Dream Realm. Even when his soul power was depleted in reality, he practiced variations of spear techniques and contemplated the essence of spear art.

The contact name on the communicator read simply:

'Uncle.'

Xu Shengqun had disappeared over two years ago without a trace. At first, Xu Yuan wasn't worried, but as time passed, his concern grew. He no longer expected his uncle to return with the Paper spirit soul, only hoping that his uncle was safe.

During the class officer elections, Xu Yuan had noticed the weakness of his Tianyuan Brush martial soul and began preparing for its evolution. He also planned to fully separate the two forms of his martial soul.

If there was still no news after another six months—making it two and a half years of disappearance—he would have to accept that something had happened to his uncle.

But fortunately.

Today, his uncle finally contacted him.

"Hello? Uncle?"

"Hehe, kid, did you miss your uncle?" Xu Shengqun's voice came through the other end.

Faintly, Xu Yuan heard the cries of a child and a woman's soothing voice.

Oh, so while I've been worrying myself sick, you've been off enjoying life.

A vein slowly appeared on Xu Yuan's forehead.

"This time, I came to the Tiandou Continent to create the Paper spirit soul for you. The prototype is already complete, and the spatial attribute is flawless. There was just a minor hiccup that delayed things."

Hearing this, Xu Yuan's eyes lit up.

So, the Paper spirit soul was truly feasible?

"Uncle, what's the current state of the prototype? Pure spatial attribute?"

"How could it be?"

Xu Shengqun's voice lowered, as if trying not to disturb the child.

"When creating this paper, I compressed vast amounts of spatial energy and consumed numerous rare materials with spatial and five-element attributes…"

The more he spoke, the more Xu Shengqun's voice carried a tone of regret.

Clearly, the cost had been significant.

"You wouldn't believe it, but your father's Five Elements Theory really came in handy. Without it, I wouldn't have been able to condense spatial energy into a tangible form to create the paper's physical body."

Xu Shengqun's words once again surprised Xu Yuan.

How many times had this happened?

Xu Yuan had lost count.

From the very beginning with the Five Elements Spear Spirit, to the connections with Teacher Mu Ye, to the research on his blood essence martial soul, and even the Phantom Beast spirit—all bore traces of his father's influence.

And now, Xu Yuan heard of his father's contributions yet again from his uncle.

Five Elements Theory?

Perhaps Xu Zhi hadn't initially intended to arrange the Paper spirit soul for Xu Yuan, but after obtaining the Five Elements Spear Spirit, he must have studied the five-element attributes.

"Uncle, when will you return to the continent?" Xu Yuan asked.

Xu Shengqun seemed to consult someone before quickly replying.

"In about six months. I still have some matters to attend to here, and I'll use the Spirit Pagoda's equipment here to complete the final step of the Paper spirit soul. By the way, does your Tianyuan Brush martial soul still have empty soul ring slots? Do you have any available slots for absorbing spirit soul?"

Xu Shengqun suddenly remembered the key question.

"What level is your soul power at now?"

"Level 45."

"Level 45?!" Xu Shengqun exclaimed.

He sighed deeply.

"Ah, so you already have three spirit souls. It seems you won't be able to absorb the Paper spirit soul for now."

"Uncle, I can absorb it," Xu Yuan insisted.

"Don't joke around. Three purple spirit soul are already the limit for the Linghai Realm."

The more Xu Shengqun spoke, the more something felt off. His voice gradually softened.

After a long silence, he cautiously asked, "Xiao Yuan, how much spiritual power do you have now?"

"Almost 7,700."

On the other end, Xu Shengqun's eyes widened in shock.

Beside him, Paper Saint Douluo also looked utterly incredulous.

The cherubic little child, seeing the stunned adults, mimicked them by opening their mouth wide in astonishment.

The three shared the same expression, creating a rather harmonious scene.

"Oh, by the way, Uncle, my second spirit soul for my brain-type martial soul is ten-thousand-year, not thousand-year." Xu Yuan quickly corrected him.

Xu Shengqun fell silent again.

"I'll return to the continent in six months. Be prepared to absorb the Paper spirit soul—it will be the catalyst for fully separating your martial souls. Get ready."

"Alright, Uncle." Before Xu Yuan could say anything further, the call abruptly ended.

"The Paper spirit soul is ready." A smile spread across Xu Yuan's face.

Just moments ago, he had been worried about needing to strengthen his Tianyuan Brush martial soul. Now, help had arrived.

He still had to wait six months, but that time would serve as excellent preparation.

The true separation of martial souls would inevitably damage their essence. Xu Yuan wanted to minimize harm to his two martial souls while figuring out how to compensate for the loss during this process.

Perhaps this wouldn't be detrimental to his martial souls but a purification—a form of evolution!
