Vandar returned to his home dimension temporarily. But not before stealing a lot of technology from Rudolph Conners, AKA Robot. Vandar had to start somewhere, and since he didn't want to have to build everything from scratch, he stole the technology to save a lot of time. So, together with the remaining body of Conquest and the technology, Vandar returned to the DC universe and started to get to work. His time in the Invincible Universe was not over yet. There were still some who could hurt him and training for him to do.
He returned to the small base he had started to construct. It wasn't anything big since he knew he wouldn't be doing this by hand, but it was his. So he took all the technology he had stolen from Robot and assembled it the way he wanted. Vandar was special; he naturally wanted his intelligence increased, surpassing genius-level intelligence and not diminished, but not in a way that would bother him, and he would become nihilistic and melancholic like Rick Sanchez. He made sure that wouldn't happen.
He knew what to do after a short moment of going over everything. As if he hadn't been doing anything else, Vandar assembled the technology. Right now, he wanted to have a portable inventory of some kind. He was going to make use of his ability, which he specifically stated as part of his powers, to travel through the Omniverse unhindered and collect all the things he was interested in. He didn't want to make it too easy, but there were resources he couldn't pass up.
.
Time passed by quickly without Vandar realising it. He was deep in thought and busy creating the thing he wanted. Whenever he read a cultivation novel or something of that kind, he always thought that he would love to have something similar. And that's what he was creating right now. He was in the process of creating his own 'inventory', so to speak. To do that, he used his new understanding to create a nice belt, which he could use as an opening to his personal safe. This 'safe' he was creating was something akin to a Minecraft Ender Chest. It didn't truly make sense, but it was a brilliant idea on his part. He would be able to open this 'chest' from everywhere while not being bothered by losing the belt since only he could see what he had placed inside the 'Ender Chest'. It was foolproof. And since he had specified that he was inviolate to cosmic interference of any kind, he wasn't worried about this. Only he would ever get access to the things he collects.
Thankfully, Vander had thought about it beforehand. He could create technology, no matter what universe it stemmed from. As long as he understood it, he could create it.
After he finished with the 'Ender Chest', Vandar went ahead and created more things. He was convinced that he would most likely not use any other weapons, but it was better to be prepared for any situation. There was one specific one he would most likely use in the future, but that would be in the far future.
Finally, he started creating his own research facility, which he would eventually move to the space station he would create. But now, that would be enough. This was because he had plans for all kinds of biology. Viltrumites, Unopan, Thokk/Battle Beast, Rognarr, and, of course, other races like Kryptonians, Burning Martians, Czanarians, Asgardians, Klyntar, Spirals, Saiyans and more. It wasn't that he wanted to fuse bloodlines, but he wanted to make use of their bloodline abilities if he was interested in them. Other than that, he would just experiment with them and maybe collect them. He was like Trazyn the Infinite, only that he wasn't nearly as old as the Necron Overlord. But he would use them if he had the chance. And when he was finished, he might compare collections with the Necron and see who was the better collector. That would take time, however.
After finishing everything he wanted, he finally prepared a better suit for himself. He looked similar to the Emperor of Mankind, with his long black hair and impeccable jawline. But he wasn't that interested in wearing armour. He preferred to just wear a Viltrumite-like suit for now. He had training to do, after all. So he was off. He imagined the location he wanted to go to, and then ...
*FWOOOP*
Vandar appears on an unknown planet. Immediately, he is pulled to the ground by the incredibly strong gravitation. He looks into the sky, and instead of the sun, he sees a ginormous disk in front of it. Seeing the disk, Vandar knows that he is on the right planet. He came here for a specific species, the Rognarr. Rognarrs are savage alien beasts and one of the few species in the galaxy known to be able to injure and kill Viltrumites. The gravity on their planet is so dense that they have had to evolve to be extremely tough simply to be able to move. This has also granted them unprecedented levels of strength and endurance. However, feeling threatened by this race, the Viltrumites eventually placed an enormous solar disk in front of the planet's sun, entirely freezing it, along with the Rognarr.
Vandar flies towards the large disk and uses his top speed to destroy the object.
*CRASHH*
This finally allows sunlight to reach the planet again. Was this smart? No, it was not. Was it Vandar's goal to be smart? No. He was here to train, and the more brutal it was, the faster he would grow. He had found out an interesting fact about himself. After he had completed his initial training in 'conquering death, ' he broke his limiter, and as he experienced the fight with Conquest, he felt that his growth wasn't linear at all. As he fought, he grew more and more, at a faster pace.
He looked at the planet below and saw the Rognarrs slowly thaw out of their ice blocks. They were groggy right now, so he wouldn't get the most out of it. Nolan and Allan were supposed to come here and try to get some of the Rognarrs as a plan to gather ways of harming Viltrumites. That was out of the picture now, but it wouldn't have worked that well anyway. He was now here to train, which he would do. Almost none of them would be left when he was done if any at all. He would keep some to research and add to his collection.
.
The time was now. The Rognarrs had time to wake up from their long slumber, and they were angry. Vandar was also ready. He was always ready, and what would follow was absolute carnage. He flew to the ground, and before he could initiate the attack, the Rognarrs attacked. They used their powerful hindlegs and jumped at him en masse. After the source virus left his system, Conquest, one of the most powerful Viltrumites and the one he had just killed, found himself vulnerable and his strength greatly diminished. Arriving on this very planet inhabited by the Rognarr, his right arm was ripped off, his face permanently scarred, and he was blinded in his right eye.
*WRAMM*
Vandar punches the Rognarr in front of him, and getting it off of him. He didn't hear a crack, so its skull was left mostly unharmed. The durability on these things is incredible. He was having trouble with the enormously high gravity, since it was new to him, and was fending off hordes of Rognarrs ... or he was trying to. It was no use, after a couple of minutes, the first Rognarr managed to plunge its sharp teeth into his shoulder and rip a huge chunk out. Another one slashed its sharp claws across his torso, disemboweling Vandar and opening him up for another attack.
Another Rognarr bit into his arm and pulled as hard as it could. The pain Vandar was experiencing as his entire arm was ripped off, was impressive. While he would have gotten time to recuperate if he fought against an enemy with intelligence or any other Viltrumite, these were savage beasts and they only had one goal in mind, to consume him and kill him.
...
There was just one problem.
He couldn't do that. Vandar was incapable of giving up or dying. There was only pain, healing and growth and a lot of blood. So he got to it. He pulls back his fist to punch the Rognarr in front of him, but before he can, his arm is bitten again. Another Rognarr chokes him from behind and another one grabs a hold of his intestines. He is pulled apart again and again, but he heals right away.
As he fights, he grows more confident in his movements and starts to predict their movements. They are savage beasts, after all, and that's all they can do. He dodges a bite and uppercuts the Rognarr, finally hearing that crack he has been waiting for. He is making progress. His arm is bitten again and he pulls it close and front kicks the Rognarr, shooting it away, together with his ripped off arm. Vandar doesn't stop, though, and punches the next one. He uses his max strength in each attack to truly push him to his limits and beyond. He has to be able to do this and will not stop. Neither he nor the Rognarr will.
His fist impacts a chest, and he feels his fist almost pass through the thick skin. The cracking sound of the bones is now heard after every attack. He is making progress. Fuelled by the pain and feeling of growth, Vandar increases his efforts. He starts to fly as he fights. He couldn't do that since he hadn't had the time to focus on it before. But now it is getting much easier, and he can multitask much better.
He dodges an attack coming from behind and backflips over another one. He twists mid-air and punches forward, hitting a Rognarr in the face.
*CRACK*
Another claw cuts him open, and another bites him in the stomach. He brings his fist down at the same time, ripping his stomach open and throwing the Rognarr to the ground. He lifts his leg and stomps on the Rognarr's face.
*SPLATT*
He did it. He finally crushed one of them with only his body. Again he is attacked and the storm doesn't stop. The horde is growing more angry and he has to fend off more and more at the same time. Thankfully, they are large creatures measuring roughly 13 feet or 3.96 metres. He grabs one of them by the tail and uses it like a baseball bat, swinging him around, crashing it against the others. Their bodies collide and break.
Vandar doesn't stop. He feels like Neo from the Matrix right now, battling hundreds of Agent Smiths. His punches and kicks speed up more and more, and the force behind them increases as well. He falls into a trance and is no longer aware of his surroundings.
(+ 204% -> 74.55647)
The population of Rognarrs has suffered greatly. In just one day, they went from thousands upon thousands to a few hundred, and they had nothing to show for it. The monster that had awoken them from their icy slumber had massacred them and he was still not satisfied.
Vandar was going all out. He had reached the stage where the teeth and claws of the Rognarr no longer harmed him much, apart from leaving a white mark on his skin. He used his hands and legs like swords and sliced the Rognarr apart as if he were slicing sushi. He switched when he realised that they were dying too quickly. The hours he had been fighting now were finally closing as the last dozen Rognarr were left.
They no longer attacked Vandar and looked at him warily. He had gone above and beyond and had taught fear to a savage species that had not had a natural enemy in the entire universe. The Rognarr, which three of them almost killed Thragg, the most powerful of all the Viltrumites, were now taught fear.
...
Vandar cracks his neck and looks around the battlefield. It is completely red. Red from all the blood and the bodies of the Rognarrs he had killed. He looks down at himself and realises that he is once again naked. His inventory belt didn't make it through the fight. So he must take some of them with him when he leaves.
The fight was won.
