"This is the situation, Mr. Yun Fan. I'll escort you out of Mondstadt first," a Knight of Favonius explained to Yun Fan in the Good Hunter, recounting what had happened that morning.
"So, that woman isn't just arrogant—she's also quite clever. No wonder she managed to outsmart Tartaglia in Liyue with Zhongli's help," Yun Fan hadn't expected Signora to use the disappearance of the Debt Collector as a pretext to threaten the Knights of Favonius and demand they hand him over.
"Still, the Knights of Favonius—or rather, Acting Grand Master Jean—are quite honorable. Their first thought was for my safety."
Yun Fan stood up and adjusted his slightly disheveled silver hair in the mirror. A sharp glint flashed in his golden eyes.
"Today won't be boring."
"We will never agree to hand over Mondstadt's defenses!" Jean slammed her hand on the table, causing the teacups to topple over and shatter on the floor.
"Oh? Then give us an explanation. A Fatui agent has disappeared in Mondstadt. This makes us seriously doubt whether the Knights of Favonius are capable of protecting this city," Signora said arrogantly, her eyes filled with disdain as she looked down on Jean.
"Mondstadt will give you an explanation, but handing over our defenses is absolutely out of the question."
"Hmph, then hand over the owner of the Good Hunter. When our agent disappeared, he was seen nearby. We need to take him in for questioning," Signora snorted coldly.
"Impossible. He's from Liyue. We have no right to hand him over, and we won't," Jean stood her ground.
"Since you're unwilling to cooperate in apprehending the culprit, we'll have to take matters into our own hands," Signora began gathering Cryo energy in her hand, while the Fatui squad behind her drew their weapons.
"We'll stand our ground!" Jean drew her Favonius Sword, undeterred. Behind her, Amber, Lisa, and Kaeya also readied their weapons, their Visions glowing.
"It's been a while since I've stretched my legs~" Lisa's dormant Electro energy began to stir. The power of the Witch of Purple Rose was slowly awakening.
The two sides faced off, and a fight seemed inevitable.
"Hey, long time no see, Acting Grand Master Jean," a casual voice broke the tension.
"Yun Fan, why are you here?! Didn't I..." Jean was shocked to see Yun Fan suddenly appear. Hadn't she sent someone to escort him out of Mondstadt?
"Oh? I didn't expect you to come to us yourself," Signora smirked when she saw Yun Fan.
"When our agent disappeared, you were nearby. Come with us for questioning," even if she couldn't get Mondstadt's defenses, obtaining the divine artifact from this merchant would still be worth the trip.
"Sure, but I need to clarify something first," Yun Fan glanced at Signora and the surrounding Fatui agents.
"That Pyro Agent? I killed him. There's not even ash left."
"Are you provoking me?!" Signora's beautiful face twisted in anger. This was the first time someone had dared to speak to her like this.
"Provoking? No, no. Let me put it this way," Yun Fan covered his forehead with one hand, hiding his expression. "I've never even considered you worth my attention."
"You—!" In the blink of an eye, Signora felt a sharp pain in her abdomen and was sent flying, crashing through the wall of the Grand Master's office and landing in the Knights' training grounds.
Yun Fan didn't waste any more words. He struck directly, punching Signora in the stomach. Strong individuals had their pride, even if Yun Fan's power wasn't self-cultivated.
To be honest, the only reason Signora hadn't been beaten to death long ago was her considerable strength in Teyvat and her backing from the Tsaritsa.
But to Yun Fan, she was nothing.
"Kalpas, take care of the masked ones. Leave none alive," Yun Fan said coldly, then jumped through the broken wall.
After Yun Fan left, a voice filled with suppressed anger echoed in the room.
"Tch, always making me deal with trash!"
"What's wrong? Can't the great Fatui Harbinger, Signora, even stand after one hit?" Yun Fan stood over Signora, looking down at the arrogant woman.
"You... you bastard!" Signora had never been humiliated like this.
Yun Fan's punch, though delivered when she was caught off guard, proved that he was no ordinary person.
"Who are you?!" Signora growled through gritted teeth.
"Who am I?"
Yun Fan gave an Anya-style smile, his eyes and mouth curving into crescents, and said in the most dismissive tone, "Do you even deserve to know?"
Crack.
It sounded like something had shattered—perhaps what little remained of Signora's sanity. The Anya smile was truly effective.
"You're dead!!"
Signora, now completely unhinged, unleashed the full power of the Cryo energy granted by the Tsaritsa. In an instant, countless ice spikes shot toward Yun Fan.
An ordinary person would have been turned into a pincushion in seconds.
"This won't hurt me."
The Electro power of Jing Yuan, the Cloud Knight General, which had lain dormant for so long, finally stirred again. Yun Fan drew his weapon, and in a flash of lightning, the ice spikes froze mid-air before shattering into countless pieces.
Signora's attack didn't stop. She transformed Cryo into an ice sword and charged at Yun Fan, aiming for his chest.
"A mage trying to fight me in close combat?" Yun Fan shook his head. "Thunder—strike now!"
Martial Technique: Flashing Lightning
Elemental energy surged through the blade as Yun Fan swung, leaving trails of purple light in the air.
In just a few strikes, Signora's ice sword was reduced to shards. Yun Fan's blade swept past her head, cutting off a few strands of her golden hair.
Thud! The sound of metal hitting flesh echoed as the hilt of Yun Fan's polearm struck Signora's back. There was no mercy—a red mark immediately appeared on her fair skin.
"Cough..." Signora covered her mouth, coughing violently. When she saw the blood on her hand, her eyes turned bloodshot.
"Unforgivable!!" Countless icicles enveloped Signora, forming a massive ice cocoon.
Through his senses, Yun Fan could feel the temperature inside the cocoon rising rapidly. A surge of Pyro energy was brewing within.
"Transforming? Let's see it then—the undying flames of vengeance within your broken body!"
