Inside the underground meeting room, the atmosphere was tense.
Everyone stood in a tight circle around Morph, their expressions ranging from confusion to anger. Ethan held Morph's wrists in a vice-like grip, making sure he couldn't escape. Not that Morph had even tried.
And that was what unsettled Ethan the most.
Morph could have attempted to flee the moment his cover was blown. He could have shifted into something small, slipped through the cracks, or even transformed into a powerhouse to fight his way out.
But he didn't. Instead, he stood there while smirking, as if he had expected this.
That only confirmed Ethan's suspicions.
Mr. Sinister was behind this.
Professor Xavier's calm yet firm voice cut through the silence. "Tell me, young man, who are you, and what are you doing here?"
Ethan however wasn't in the mood for vague answers. His grip tightened as he stepped closer, his glowing white eyes staring directly into Morph's. "More importantly—where is Anissa?"
Morph chuckled. "Relax, tough guy. She's fine. More than fine, actually." His smirk widened. "She betrayed you."
The room fell into stunned silence.
Scott's brows furrowed. "What?"
Hank pushed his glasses up. "That doesn't make sense."
Even Logan raised an eyebrow. "Kid, I've seen a lot of crazy things in my time, but this? Gonna have to do better than that."
However, Xavier didn't dismiss it immediately. His sharp gaze remained locked on Morph. "Tell me more," he instructed.
Morph's smirk grew. "Gladly."
He leaned back against the chair, looking completely at ease, and began his story.

A Few Days Ago…
Anna, Kitty, and Anissa had gone shopping together, though calling it a peaceful outing would be a stretch.
Anna and Anissa still did not like each other.
It didn't take long for their usual bickering to start up again, with Anna throwing passive-aggressive remarks and Anissa responding with sharp, clipped insults.
Kitty is growing tired of playing referee, decided to drag Anna away to check out a dress store, hoping a distraction would cool things down.
For a moment, Anna completely forgot she was supposed to keep a close watch on Anissa.
Anissa stood alone, watching the two disappear into the shop.
The moment they were out of sight, her expression changed. Her smile vanished and her eyes grew cold.
She clenched her fists as anger bubbling beneath the surface.
"How dare they act friendly with me when they tried to manipulate me?"
When she first arrived, she had decided to observe Ethan and the others—to study them, to understand them. She even considered genuine friendship.
But then, strange things started happening.
Subtle headaches. Odd gaps in her memory. A persistent feeling that something was off.
And then, last night, everything came rushing back.
She remembered everything... Ethan's Omni-Watch... How she arrived in this world... How Xavier altered her memories... The truth.
Even her thoughts had been subtly manipulated, making her genuinely believe she was here to form real friendships with them.
Her blood boiled at the revelation.
Viltrumites were a warrior race and their willpower is unmatched. Their bodies were built for war, their healing factor far beyond human comprehension. And their minds? Just as resilient.
Someone had tried to rewrite her memories, but her subconscious fought back.
Her brain treated the memory erasure as damage and healed itself—restoring what had been stolen from her.
The realization made everything click.
She had felt the manipulation. She knew something was blocking her instincts.
And now, she knew who was responsible.
Professor Charles Xavier.
The most powerful telepath in the school. The man who had erased her memories, changed her entire understanding of why she was here.
And it didn't take a genius to figure out that Ethan might have been part of it, too.
She remembered how no one questioned her presence anymore. How everyone conveniently believed she had simply come to this world to "study humanity."
They were all in on it. Even Ethan.
He wanted to keep the Omni-Watch for himself. He wanted to trap her. To manipulate her. To turn her into his loyal subordinate.
Her jaw clenched as rage surged through her veins.
He's the real mastermind.
The thought alone made her want to rip him apart.
But she wasn't stupid.
If she made a move now, they would erase her memories and manipulate her again. They would turn her into their eternal slave.
She needed to be smart. She needed a plan.
As she was lost in thought, a man approached her. "Miss Anissa," he said smoothly. "My boss wants to meet you. He can help you."
She barely glanced at him. "Fuck off."
She turned to walk away, but he followed. "You should hear him out," he insisted.
She stopped when they reached a place without humans. Then, without warning, she spun around—grabbing him by the throat and lifting him off the ground. "I said, fuck off," she growled.
The man gasped for breath but managed to rasp out, "Xavier… is manipulating you."
Anissa froze. Then she narrowed her eyes. "What did you say?"
The man coughed as she loosened her grip. "You don't know everything about this world, do you?" he said hoarsely. "There are people who want to help you. But you need to come with me to meet my boss."
She frowned. "And if they notice I'm missing?"
The man smiled and pulled out an earpiece. "Just follow my boss's instructions."
Before she could respond, his body shifted.
Within seconds, he looked exactly like her. Anissa's eyes widened slightly. The man smirked. "Name's Morph."
For a moment, she hesitated.
She didn't know the true power structure of this world. She didn't know if she could trust this so-called "boss."
But she did know one thing. If there was even a chance for revenge against Ethan and that bald psycho, she would take it.
Raw power wasn't the answer. Ethan was stronger than her. He could stop her.
And they could erase her memories again.
She needed to be patient. So, she took the earpiece and walked away, following the deep voice that guided her to her new allies.
Meanwhile, Morph—now disguised as Anissa—returned to Kitty and Anna, playing the role perfectly.

Back to the Present…
The room was silent as Morph finished his story.
Jean's fists were clenched and her expression is unreadable.
Ethan remained silent while Hank adjusted his glasses. "And who exactly is your boss?"
Morph smirked. "Don't know his real name. But he calls himself Mr. Sinister."
Jean's eyes narrowed at the name. Ethan was lost in thought.
Logan snorted. "That's a retarded name."
Scott who crossed his arms said, "Yeah? Same could be said about Wolverine."
Logan's eyes flashed. "You wanna go, glasses?"
Scott's visor glowed red. "Anytime, little pup."
"Enough, you two," Xavier said sharply.
He turned back to Morph anx his tone serious. "Why are you telling us this now?"
Morph's smirk faltered slightly before he spoke in a quieter tone, "…Because," he admitted, "I just want to be free."
The room remained heavy with tension as Morph exhaled and looked around at the gathered faces. His usual smirk was gone, replaced by something… tired.
"You guys have no idea what it's like," he muttered, his voice unusually quiet.
Logan narrowed his eyes. "Then why don't you enlighten us?"
Morph let out a dry chuckle. "Yeah… might as well."
He took a deep breath before speaking. "I wasn't always like this. I was normal once. Just some nobody trying to get by. Then… he found me. Sinister." Morph clenched his fists. "He did things to me. Messed with my DNA, experimented on me like a damn lab rat. And when my X-Gene finally kicked in, he turned me into his personal puppet."
Scott with his arms crossed asked, "How?"
Morph tapped the side of his head. "Microchip. Right here. Blocks telepaths from poking around in my brain and makes sure I stay under his thumb. No running, no hiding. Just his property."
Professor Xavier's face remained calm, but there was a deep sadness in his eyes. "And that's why you're here now. You want to be free."
Morph laughed, but there was no humor in it. "Oh, I tried before. Plenty of times. You think this is my first betrayal?" He shook his head. "Nah. I've turned on him before. Thought I could outsmart him, thought I could escape. But he always wins. And every time I fail, I get… punished."
Jean frowned. "Punished how?"
Morph's face darkened. "Torture. Pain. More experiments." His voice cracked slightly, but he quickly masked it with a forced smirk. "You'd think I'd learn, right? But here I am. One more shot at freedom."
Silence filled the room. No one spoke. No one knew what to say.
Then Morph leaned forward slightly, looking directly at Xavier, "I'll take you to him. I know where Sinister is. I know what he's planning. All I ask…" His voice softened. "Is that you help me."
Logan scoffed. "So we go runnin' into some mad scientist's hideout just 'cause you asked nicely?"
Scott gave Logan a sharp look. "If he's telling the truth, this isn't just about him." He turned to Xavier. "Professor?"
Xavier studied Morph carefully. Then, after a long pause, he turned to Ethan. "Come with me."
Ethan blinked. "What?"
"Outside. Now." Ethan frowned but followed Xavier out of the room.
...
Once outside, away from the others, Xavier turned to Ethan with a serious expression. "This situation is more delicate than you realize."
"Because of Anissa?"
Xavier nodded. "Her mind was… strong. Stronger than most. It took a great deal of effort to adjust her memories, even temporarily." His voice was calm but there was an underlying tension in it. "If she has regained them… she won't see us as allies."
Ethan sighed before rubbing his forehead. "She'll see us as the enemy."
"Exactly." Xavier's tone was grim. "And if she's now with Sinister, it means she believes we manipulated her. That we used her."
Ethan clenched his fists. 'Damn it.'He exhaled sharply. 'This is my fault. I should've been smarter about this. I knew how dangerous this world was, but I still acted like an idiot.'
Xavier observed his expression and reaction and instantly understanding his thoughts. Shaking his head, he said, "Blaming yourself won't change what's happened. What matters now is understanding exactly what we're up against."
Ethan nodded, "Then let's go back in. We need to know everything about Sinister."
Xavier gave him a small nod before they turned and re-entered the room.
.....
Back inside, the others were waiting. Logan had his arms crossed, Jean looked deep in thought, and Scott and Hank were quietly discussing something. Morph glanced up as Ethan and Xavier returned.
Ethan walked straight up to Morph. "Talk."
Morph grinned. "About what?"
Ethan's eyes flickered with blue lightning. "Everything. Who is Sinister? What does he want? How dangerous is he?"
Morph chuckled. "Oh, buddy… you're in for a story."
...
AN: How is the chapter. I bet may of you think Anissa was kidnapped right.
