Armen woke up before the sun, rolling to the side he saw his wife René giving her a kiss on the forehead before sitting up.
He used a spirit will Hou had given him, clothes forming around him.
They had been temporarily given someone else's house and they moved back with their family until Armen gets his own house. Armen could easily tell that this house was someone else's, it was full with accoutrements and decorations which didn't suit Armen or René's style.
However, he couldn't complain, he had to kick someone else out of his own home. Armen looked into his son's room, Junior was now a young man but he had still not figured out what he wanted to be.
He didn't want to be a healer like his father, but he didn't know what he wanted to do. He had potential, with Armen as his father he would be accepted anywhere.
Armen looked in, seeing he was still asleep and went into the kitchen. The kitchen was a small room in the back of the house with a fire stove.
Armen put some logs of wood into the stove and lit it. He had many small abilities from Hou which could be useful in everyday life, not only fighting. Specifically this was an ability that created a small flame, Armen used it for cooking to start the fire.
Next Armen took out a pan that was hanging on the wall and placed it on the stovetop. While waiting for it to heat up, he then started to prepare some meat.
Armen pulled out a few packets from his pocket and placed them on the countertop. He activated an ability, the packages growing.
Unwrapping the packages, Armen used a knife to prepare some meat. After preparing the meat, he went outside and picked some eggs from a few chickens outside.
Armen came back through the backdoor, feeling enough time had passed, he begun cooking. He took out a pottery jar of oil and placed some on the pan, then moving it around to coat the full pan.
He took a few eggs and cracked them, making sure the yolks stay intact. He made sure to move the eggs so they don't stick. Using a wooden spoon, Armen scooped the hot oil and cooking the other side of the eggs.
All together the pan had 9 eggs, 3 for each person. Once the egg whites turned from transparent to white, Armen placed them aside, moving onto the meat.
Armen did a quick heal in the meat to make sure it was safe and then took a slice, carefully laying it down on the pan, the oil sizzling and spitting.
Armen layered the meats into a large lattice on the pan. He continued to move it around the pan, so none of it will burn. Once it was sufficiently cooked, Armen took a spatula and flipped the meat.
He could see his cooking, a perfectly cooked red-brown meat with slight charring on the edges. Armen finished off the meat, taking it out of the pan and onto a chopping board.
Before he forgot, Armen opened up the stove and activated another ability, snuffing the fire. Smoke started to rise and he wafted it away with a towel before turning back to breakfast.
Firstly, Armen cut the eggs apart into individual eggs, the yolks all intact. Next he chopped into the meat, cutting it into strips which he portioned to 3 different plates.
Armen set up the table, placing a plate at each chair before looking out of the window. The sun had already started to grow, it had become fairly big and it illuminated the room with an orange glow.
"Everyone, wake up, breakfasts ready!" Armen shouted from the doorway, already walking towards him son's room.
"That means you too junior" Armen knocked onto Junior's door.
Armen sat down at the table, waiting for everyone to arrive before starting. He noticed he had not put away the meat and sat back up.
Armen grabbed the meat packages, shrinking them to pocket size and healing them. By shrinking them Armen could carry lots of meat and easily heal them, preserving their fresh-ness.
René woke up to Armen's shouting and she sat up, also using a false spirit will ability to create clothes. The clothes were all made of the same material but it changed from depending on what one wanted to wear.
She thought of a design, the clothes coming out from her skin. A green dress flew out, with a patterned flower design. René looked down, satisfied.
Similarly Junior woke up to Armen's shouting but he did not want to until Armen knocked on his door. With that he jolted up and got dressed, not caring what he wore particularly.
'I guess today I'll see what uncle Hamar is doing and maybe I'll try to be a city guard or something'
Junior thought of what he needed to do, he could not rely on his parents forever, he needed something in his life.
Junior opened his door, walking into the living room where his parents were sat at the table, with breakfast in front of them. Eggs and Meat, probably some wolf or bear meat.
Junior sat down and picked up his utensils, a fork and knife.
"Now that we're all here, let's eat!" Armen excitedly said, he had been hungry ever since he woke up but did not have anything.
The three started to eat, savouring the strong flavour of fresh meat dipping it into the yellow egg yolks. It wasn't something fancy, but it was good. The three quickly finished their food and sat at the table talking.
"So what are you going to do now, you're an adult, you need to figure out what you want to do."
"I'm thinking of checking up with uncle Hamar and maybe I can be a city guard?"
"Is that what you really want to do though, you've never really enjoyed fighting much." Armen didn't discount what Junior said but was worried that he was choosing something he wouldn't enjoy.
"But what else can I even do?" Junior was absolutely lost, he had no idea what he wanted.
