Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: Sasuke Arrives in the Empire, Uchiha Itachi of the Otherworld

Kakashi Hatake's eyes widened in disbelief. His usually composed demeanor shattered as he stared at Sasuke.

"Three tomoe…?"

That was impossible.

The progression of the Sharingan was never this fast. It was something that took years of battle, struggle, and emotional turmoil. Yet, in mere moments, Sasuke's eyes had evolved from the two-tomoe Sharingan to the fully matured three-tomoe form.

Zabuza Momochi's grip tightened around the hilt of his sword, his expression unreadable. His gaze flickered between the empty syringe in Obito's hand and Sasuke's glowing scarlet eyes.

"This potion…" Zabuza muttered, feeling his worldview shatter.

He had been skeptical at first. The claim that these people came from another world sounded absurd. But after witnessing the effects of the potion firsthand, he could no longer deny the truth.

His memories of the Third Great Ninja War resurfaced. He had encountered Uchiha on the battlefield, seen the terrifying might of their Sharingan. Their eyes evolved through intense battles and near-death experiences.

Yet now…

A single injection had achieved the same result.

"This is unreal."

For the first time in his life, Zabuza felt an overwhelming sense of dread. These people—whoever they were—came from another world, and each of them was as powerful as the Five Kage. If they were here for a reason, it would shake the very foundation of this world.

And he, Zabuza Momochi, was standing at the center of this impending storm.

Sasuke, on the other hand, was still reeling from the sudden surge of power. His breathing was heavy, his hand instinctively covering his eyes. He could feel the difference. Without even looking in a mirror, he knew that his Sharingan had become much stronger.

"I… My Sharingan has evolved," Sasuke said, his voice laced with disbelief.

Menma smirked, arms crossed.

"What we just injected into you is a Sage Body fusion potion," he explained. "The Sage Body naturally contains Yang Chakra, and because of the unique connection between Uchiha blood and the Sage Body, your Sharingan evolved when Yin and Yang fused. It's a natural reaction."

Yin and Yang—when perfectly balanced—could give birth to new, unimaginable power.

Sasuke swallowed, feeling his body burn. His vision blurred for a second, sweat dripping down his forehead.

"I… I feel hot," he admitted, his body temperature rising unnaturally.

"It's the Sage Body's Yang Chakra merging with your own chakra," Kakashi—this world's version—explained calmly. "Your body is adjusting. The heat is temporary. There won't be any side effects."

The first-tier Sage Body potion was designed to be harmless. Even a baby could safely undergo the transformation.

"It'll take about an hour for the fusion to complete," Obito added, watching Sasuke closely.

Everyone observed in silence. Some were curious. Others were worried.

Time passed.

After an hour, Sasuke's flushed complexion returned to normal. His body felt lighter, his chakra flowing more smoothly than ever before.

Then—

Buzz!

He opened his eyes.

The vibrant red of the three-tomoe Sharingan shone brilliantly, reflecting the light in the room.

"This power…"

Sasuke clenched his fists, feeling the overwhelming chakra coursing through his veins.

"My chakra has tripled."

He was sure of it. His reserves had expanded exponentially. His body felt alive, every fiber of his being brimming with newfound strength.

Menma smirked.

"This is just the beginning," he said. "Your body hasn't fully adapted yet. In the next few weeks, your strength will continue to grow at an accelerated rate."

Sasuke's heart pounded with excitement.

"What is my current combat power?"

Menma activated a small, futuristic-looking device, pointing it at Sasuke.

"Your combat power level is 75."

A silence fell over the room.

"...?"

Sasuke's excitement disappeared instantly.

"That's it?" he asked, stunned. "With all these upgrades, my combat power only increased this much?"

By his estimation, his strength had at least doubled! Why was the number so low?

Kakashi chuckled.

"Your chakra reserves and Sharingan evolved, but you haven't mastered your new abilities yet," he explained. "If you fought right now, your eyes and brain would process everything faster, but your body wouldn't be able to keep up."

Sasuke frowned, but he understood.

His power had grown, but his control over it was lacking.

"Based on my calculations," Menma continued, "after a month of intensive training in the Empire, your combat power should reach 200. That's about the level of a Jōnin."

"Jōnin?!"

Sasuke's breath hitched.

That was a goal he hadn't expected to reach so soon. To achieve the strength of a Jōnin in just a month—it was almost unbelievable.

Nearby, Kakashi, Zabuza, and the others were utterly dumbfounded.

A Genin reaching Jōnin-level strength in one month?

The sheer absurdity of it made their heads spin.

They had trained for years to reach their level.

Sasuke's fists tightened.

"I'm ready," he said, his voice firm. "Take me to your world."

Naruto's sudden outburst shattered the tension.

"Sasuke, you bastard!"

With unfiltered rage, he lunged forward—only for Menma to grab him effortlessly.

"Hey…" Menma's voice was calm, but sharp. "Forcing your friends to follow your ideals—is that how you treat them?"

Naruto stiffened.

His anger boiled, but his words failed him.

Menma sighed.

"I'll take Sasuke to the Empire first," he said, glancing at the others. "We'll return soon."

And with that—

Swish!

A golden flash.

Space distorted.

In an instant, Sasuke found himself in a vast desert. The ruins of an ancient city stretched endlessly before him—the Kingdom of Wind's lost civilization, Loulan.

"Wait here," Menma instructed.

A moment later, an ethereal glow enveloped them.

"The Empire is opening a space-time channel," Menma explained. "You're about to be transported."

Sasuke took a deep breath.

"This is it."

His heart pounded as the golden light swallowed him whole.

He felt weightless—then, just as suddenly, the sensation vanished.

When he opened his eyes, he was in a dimly lit room. Strange machines surrounded him, their surfaces glowing with unfamiliar symbols. Beneath his feet was a massive, intricate teleportation array.

Something felt… different.

Then—

"Hello."

A voice—calm, composed, yet undeniably familiar.

Sasuke's breath hitched.

That voice—

His Sharingan activated on reflex.

Slowly, he turned.

There, standing before him, was a man he never expected to see again.

A man with a gentle expression, his face shadowed by deep tear grooves.

A man he had sworn to kill.

"Uchiha… Itachi."

His teeth clenched. His fists trembled.

Yet, there was something off.

This Itachi wasn't the same. His presence was different.

But none of that mattered.

The fire of vengeance ignited in Sasuke's heart once more.
