Chapter 11 - Chapter 7: Amirtha Break's The Silence.

DJ Event...

At the DJ event ground, the energy was electric.

The bass boomed through the speakers as coloured lights flashed over the dancing crowd.

Standing behind the DJ console, Shiva was in his element.

His fingers glided effortlessly over the controls, seamlessly transitioning between tracks.

His instructor had asked him to take over for a few songs, and Shiva had nailed it.

As the music faded out and another DJ took over, Shiva stepped off the stage, walking towards his friends with a proud grin.

Tejas and Meena, two of his closest school friends, were waiting for him.

Tejas, a well-dressed, confident young man from a wealthy family, clapped him on the back.

Clap~ Clap~

"Man, you absolutely killed it! The crowd loved it!"

Beside him, Meena, his younger sister—who had an obvious crush on Shiva, though he remained clueless—smiled brightly.

Unlike her usual teasing demeanour, she seemed oddly nervous.

As Shiva grabbed a bottle of water and took a sip, Meena suddenly took a deep breath and stepped forward.

Huff~

"Shiva!" she called out loudly, making him turn.

Before he could say anything, Meena clenched her fists, closed her eyes, and shouted her confession for the whole crowd to hear.

"I LIKE YOU, SHIVA! WILL YOU GO OUT WITH ME?"

The entire ground went silent.

Then, in an instant, cheers erupted from the crowd.

People whistled, clapped, and chanted his name.

"Say yes! Say yes!"

Shiva caught completely off guard, froze in place.

His mind raced, but nothing made sense.

He turned to Tejas, who was smirking knowingly.

His best friends Sandeep and Ravi, standing nearby, were grinning—Sandeep mischievously nudged Ravi, who was already laughing.

Tejas gave him a nod of approval, while the other two looked like they were enjoying the show.

The crowd kept cheering, waiting for his answer.

Shiva hesitated for a moment before finally nodding.

"Okay... I accept."

The moment the words left his mouth, the crowd exploded in excitement.

Meena's eyes sparkled with joy.

Unable to contain herself, she jumped forward and kissed Shiva on the cheek.

Shiva's eyes widened in shock. Before he could even react—

BOOM!

A sudden explosion tore through the air.

Gasps and screams followed as everyone turned towards the stage.

A massive Trishul made of fire had struck the DJ set, burning through the equipment.

The flames roared, consuming the stage in a fiery glow.

Shiva's eyes locked onto the burning weapon, his instincts screaming at him.

In a split second, he noticed it was coming straight toward him.

With no time to think, Shiva grabbed Meena and pushed her off to the side to avoid it.

BOOM!

The impact sent him flying.

He barely managed to jump off before the explosion engulfed the stage, but the fire caught onto his clothes.

Shiva hit the ground hard, rolling to put out the flames.

As he ripped off his burning shirt, something strange happened.

A vision flashed through his mind.

A giant stone statue stood before him, its presence radiating raw power.

The statue depicted a man—his arms crossed, his gaze fierce, his form towering over all.

Shiva had never seen him before, but somehow...

he felt connected to him.

Then, another vision.

His mother—Amirtha—is fighting.

She wielded water, moving gracefully as she clashed against a man surrounded by raging fire.

The vision shattered as Shiva snapped back to reality, gasping for air.

His body trembled, not from fear but from something else—a deep, nagging feeling in his chest.

'What was that? Who was that man? Why did he see his mother fighting?'

His instincts screamed at him.

He needed answers.

Now.

Ignoring the fact that the fire didn't harm him, Shiva bolted upright.

Without a word, he turned and ran towards the orphanage.

"Shiva!"

Meena shouted after him, but he didn't stop.

His friends, seeing the urgency in his expression, exchanged worried glances before quickly following him.

Behind them, the crowd was still confused.

Most assumed the explosion had been a firework accident, unaware that something far more dangerous was at play.

But Shiva knew better.

The night air was thick with tension as Shiva, Ravi, and Sandeep rushed toward the orphanage.

Wee-Woo~ Wee-Woo~

Wee-Woo~ Wee-Woo~

"____"

"____"

"____"

Their hearts pounded at the sight before them—police cars lined up outside, their red-and-blue lights flashing against the walls.

Uniformed officers were hauling bruised and unconscious men into the vehicles.

Some of the thugs groaned in pain, barely aware of their surroundings after the brutal beating they had received earlier.

Shiva clenched his fists.

'What the hell happened here?'

Without wasting a second, the three sprinted inside.

As soon as they stepped into the main hall, Amirtha spotted them.

Relief flooded her face, and before Shiva could even speak, she pulled him into a hug.

"I'm so glad you're safe,"

she murmured, her voice filled with warmth.

Shiva, still confused but reassured by her embrace, looked over her shoulder and saw the other kids in the orphanage peeking out from their rooms, wide-eyed and worried.

"What happened, Ma?"

Ravi asked, his gaze darting around.

Before she could answer, Tejas and Meena entered, panting slightly from running.

Huff~ Huff~

Meena, still overwhelmed by what had happened at the DJ event, immediately noticed the damaged furniture, overturned chairs, and signs of a struggle.

"What is going on?"

she whispered, glancing at the bloodstains on the floor.

Amirtha gave them all a comforting smile.

"Everything's fine now. Rudra handled it."

Their eyes widened. Rudra?

On the far end of the orphanage, Rudra stood with Commissioner Anwar, who had personally come to assess the situation.

The seasoned officer eyed the unconscious criminals being loaded into the police vehicles and then looked at Rudra with a knowing expression.

"You did us a favour by taking them down, Rudra,"

The Commissioner admitted.

"This is the same gang we've been struggling to pin down for months. They work directly under Rajan—the MLA's right-hand man."

Rudra remained silent, his sharp eyes scanning the area as he listened.

The Commissioner exhaled and shook his head.

Sigh~

"But this won't be the end of it. Rajan and his men aren't the type to let something like this slide. The MLA will hear about this soon, and he won't take it lightly."

Rudra's jaw tightened.

"Be careful,"

the Commissioner warned, his tone serious.

"Try to handle this peacefully if you can. We don't want things to escalate into something bigger."

Rudra let out a defeated sigh, rubbing his temple.

Sigh~

'As if I didn't have enough things to deal with already...'

But he knew one thing for sure—this was just the beginning.

After the police cars disappeared down the road, silence settled over the orphanage's main hall.

The air still carried a lingering tension, as if the fight had left behind an invisible weight on everyone's shoulders.

Shiva, Ravi, Sandeep, Tejas, and Meena sat around the room, absorbing everything that had just unfolded.

The main hall, though intact, showed signs of struggle—scattered furniture, broken decorations, and faint bloodstains from the earlier battle.

Amirtha stood before them, her voice steady as she recounted the events of the night—

how Rudra had noticed something was off, how the thugs had broken in, and how Rudra had taken them down effortlessly.

Rudra, leaning back against the wall with his arms crossed, nodded in confirmation.

As the reality of the situation sank in, Ravi scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

"Soo... we're sure this isn't just because the MLA got offended that the elephant put the flower garland on Rudra instead of him?"

A heavy silence followed.

No one immediately dismissed the idea.

Seeing that no one was willing to deny the possibility, Sandeep decided it was time to lighten the mood.

With a smirk, he leaned forward.

Smirk~

"Honestly, if we're talking about that moment, Rudra, I'd say it was fate. Even elephants know you're the main character!"

The tension cracked.

Shiva, though still lost in thought, shook his head with a small smile.

"So, what you're saying is, We lost to Rudra in popularity even among elephants?"

Sandeep grinned.

"Not just elephants—maybe next time, even the temple cows will ignore us!"

The room filled with laughter, the weight in the airlifting slightly.

But it didn't last long.

As the laughter faded, Shiva's expression turned serious.

He looked at Amirtha, hesitation clear in his eyes before finally speaking.

"Ma… there's something I need to ask you."

Amirtha's smile wavered at the sudden shift in tone.

She noticed the way Shiva clenched his fists slightly, as if unsure whether to say what was on his mind.

Taking a deep breath, he continued,

"At the DJ event, something… happened. I saw something. And I think you might know what it means."

Everyone turned toward him, their amusement replaced by curiosity.

Shiva recounted the strange vision—

how he had barely dodged the flaming trident, how the explosion sent him flying, and how, at that moment, a vision took over his mind.

"I was standing before a massive statue… a man's figure, but I don't know who he was."

"And then… I saw you, Ma."

Shiva's voice wavered slightly as he looked at Amirtha.

"You were fighting someone. Water against fire. Who was he? And why did I see that?"

The room fell deathly silent.

Amirtha's expression turned unreadable.

For a long moment, she said nothing.

Her fingers curled into fists at her sides, her gaze lowering slightly.

It was clear—

she knew something.

And she wasn't sure whether to reveal it.

A deep sigh left Amirtha's lips.

Sigh~

She closed her eyes briefly as if gathering the strength to speak.

This was a truth she had kept buried for years—a truth that would change everything Shiva knew about himself.

The room was silent.

Shiva, Rudra, and the others watched her intently, waiting.

Rudra already knew the general plot, but the movie had never revealed this part of the story.

Finally, she began.

"Before you were born, Shiva, I was not just a mother—I was a warrior, a protector of the world's greatest secrets."

Her voice was steady but carried a weight of regret.

"I was part of the Brahmansh—a sacred order entrusted with guarding the Astras."

She glanced at Rudra, and for some reason when she looked at him, she felt calm and reassured.

"The Astra's are powerful weapons—some bound to the elements, others shaped by myths and legends. Some are passed down through bloodlines, while others choose their wielders. And with great power always comes those who seek to misuse it."

She took a deep breath before saying the name that had haunted her for years.

 Deep breath~

"Dev… He was once my love."

Shiva's eyes widened.

"____"

He had never heard this name before.

"He was the most talented warrior of our generation, blessed with the mighty Agni Astra—the fire Astra itself resided in his soul. But that power... became an obsession. It started to corrupt him, and we—his friends, his comrades—failed to see it."

Her voice grew softer, almost distant.

"On the day of our wedding, he betrayed us."

The room tensed.

"While we were preparing for the ceremony, he used the distraction to go after Brahmāstra—the King of all Astra's, the source of divine power, and the most dangerous of them all. It had never bonded with anyone before, but Dev believed he was destined to wield it."

Shiva, who had remained quiet, clenched his fists.

"Did he succeed?"

Amirtha shook her head.

"No. The Brahmāstra's power is beyond what a single man can control. When I reached him… he was already being consumed by it."

She closed her eyes for a moment, recalling the moment that had shattered her life.

"The island where the Brahmāstra was kept—protected by the seas—became unstable. The water raged, storms formed, and the land itself trembled."

"I was the only one who could reach him using my Jal Astra, but by the time I did… Dev was no longer the man I had loved."

A long pause.

"____"

"He was something else. His aura had changed. His greed had turned him into something… monstrous."

Shiva swallowed hard.

Gulp~

"What happened next?"

"I tried to stop him. I pleaded with him to let go, to remember who he was. But he laughed."

" He told me the truth—that I had never been anything more than a tool to him. That after claiming the Brahmāstra, he would rule the world by force. And that he wanted me to stand beside him."

Her voice was laced with both pain and fury.

"I refused. I knew he had to be stopped. But his body was already wrapped in the Brahmāstra's cosmic force—I couldn't break through."

A deep breath.

"So I took a risk."

Her eyes burned with the memory.

"I gathered every ounce of my Jal Astra's power and created a Trishul of water, sharper and more powerful than anything I had ever wielded. I aimed not at Dev, but at the Brahmāstra itself—hoping to sever its connection to him."

She paused, her fingers tightening into fists.

"I succeeded… but at a terrible cost."

The Brahmāstra shattered into three pieces.

Dev's bond with it broke, and the backlash tore through his very soul.

Ahhhh~

His body was burned beyond recognition, his soul split in half.

And then… something unimaginable happened.

"From the shattered soul of Dev… a newborn child was created."

Shiva's breath caught in his throat.

"____"

"A child…?"

Amirtha nodded.

"You, Shiva."

The words hung in the air like a thunderclap.

"Half of Dev's soul was consumed by darkness, turning him into something inhuman—his only desires now are to rule or to destroy."

"But the other half… was reborn as an innocent baby. That child was you."

Shiva felt as if the ground had been pulled from beneath him.

His entire life, his entire existence, had been shaped by something he never even knew.

"Dev's body was sealed away by the very Astra he once wielded—it became the prison that keeps him from escaping. That was his curse for trying to control what was never meant to be his. And I…"

She exhaled, a haunted look in her eyes.

"I was cursed with immortality for breaking the Brahmāstra."

No one spoke.

The weight of her confession crushed the air from the room.

"I didn't know what the future held, but when I looked at the crying baby in my arms… I knew my path. I left my Jal Astra behind along with my duty and took you with me."

"You were no longer Dev—you were my son. And I would make sure you never walked the same path he did."

She looked up at Shiva, her eyes filled with both sorrow and love.

"That is the truth, Shiva. You were born from fire… but raised by love."

A long silence.

Shiva's mind was racing.

Everything he had seen—the visions, the flames, the trident—it all made sense now.

He clenched his fists.

"Dev is still alive, isn't he?"

Amirtha's silence was all the answer he needed.
