Mirelah;
"That's enough!"
My head whips back to Kelaith at the anger in his voice.
"Say one more word, Vealor. I dare you." He adds, and Vealor scoffs.
"Or what? You'll show her how warped your brain is? What do I care? Go ahead. She's already seen a bit of it that day at Ozrith's temple. The only difference is she doesn't realise that at certain hours of the night, you become a deranged monster." Vealor snorts, and I freeze.
A monster??
I then remember the night of the scorching right. Queen Velnara's exact words…
"Right now, she shouldn't be here. You know what happens at night. She shouldn't have to witness that. The incident with you at the temple was enough to rattle her. She shouldn't see any more sides of you that'll scare her."
I look back up at Kealith as those words replay in my mind. What happens to him at night?? What more do I not know?
"Aww… Look at her face." Vealor then laughs, and I turn back only to find him laughing at me.
