Chapter 103 - Chapter 103: The Layout

The night grew deeper, and the wind in the mountains blew with a chill, as if it wanted to devour the breath of all living things. Lucas, Darlene, and Catherine stood on the edge of the cliff of the Wolf Clan. The darkness around them swallowed their sight like an abyss. Catherine's words were like a time - bomb, exploding and deeply shocking each of their hearts. Where exactly was the core of the Blood Clan? What was its connection to the fate of the Wolf Clan? And what would be the price of the resurrection of that dark power?

Lucas took a deep breath and looked up at the starry sky in the distance. The stars twinkled, as if sending him some kind of warning. He turned around, his deep gaze falling on Catherine's face, and slowly asked, "Where do you say the core of the Blood Clan is?"

Catherine didn't answer immediately. Instead, her eyes were lowered, as if she was thinking about how to express it. After a moment of silence, she said, "The core is hidden in a place called the 'Black Moon Ruins'. It's an ancient site that was occupied by the Blood Clan hundreds of years ago. They built a secret base there and planned how to release that dark being from the seal."

"The Black Moon Ruins?" Darlene frowned. "What's so special about that place?"

Catherine looked up at Darlene, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes. "It's an eerie place, filled with the breath of death and darkness. Everyone who enters there will be drawn by a mysterious power. Legend has it that the 'Black Moon Ruins' was created by ancient witchcraft and was a place used to seal dark power. But now, the Blood Clan wants to use it to resurrect that being."

A trace of solemnity flashed in Lucas's eyes, and he said in a low voice, "Then we'll go to the 'Black Moon Ruins'."

Catherine nodded. "But I must warn you that the journey is full of great dangers. The Blood Clan has already laid numerous traps around the ruins. They won't let us get close to that place easily."

Darlene was silent for a moment and then suddenly said, "So what should we do now? Are we going to give up so easily?"

Catherine shook her head. "We can't give up, but we can't act rashly either. We must first find out the movements of the Blood Clan and figure out their layout. Otherwise, acting rashly will only put ourselves in a deeper predicament."

Lucas pondered for a moment, and his gaze became sharp. "Catherine, you're right. We can't be hasty. We must act cautiously." He turned around and said to Darlene, "We need to find out the true plan of the Blood Clan, figure out their next move first, and then decide how to act."

Darlene nodded, her gaze firm. "Okay, I understand."

The night wind was still howling, and an oppressive atmosphere filled the air. After some discussion, the three decided to act separately. Catherine took away the clues she had, while Lucas and Darlene went to the nearby gathering place of the Wolf Clan to look for more information.

At this time, the actions of the Blood Clan also quietly began. Those Blood Clan members hidden in the dark had already detected the movements of Lucas and the others and quickly launched their own layout.

The night was deep, and the moon climbed quietly in the sky. The gathering place of the Wolf Clan was quiet and mysterious, surrounded by a dense forest. The moonlight penetrated the gaps between the trees and spilled down, carrying a hint of eeriness. Lucas and Darlene passed through the forest and slowly approached the headquarters of the Wolf Clan.

"We need to be careful," Lucas said in a low voice. "This place is likely to have been targeted by the Blood Clan."

Darlene nodded, a hint of alertness in her eyes. "We must make sure that no one discovers our whereabouts."

The two continued to move forward and gradually approached the camp of the Wolf Clan. The surrounding environment became more and more silent, as if even the air had solidified. Suddenly, a slight movement came from behind a big tree in front. Lucas and Darlene's hearts tightened at the same time.

"Someone is approaching!" Lucas reminded in a low voice. He quickly grabbed Darlene's hand, and the two of them flashed into the bushes, held their breath, and waited quietly.

A few seconds later, several Blood Clan members came over. They were wearing black cloaks, tall in stature, with cold eyes. Obviously, they didn't know that Lucas and Darlene were nearby. After the Blood Clan members walked past, Lucas and Darlene heaved a sigh of relief.

"It seems that the Blood Clan has indeed started to lay out their plan," Darlene said in a low voice.

Lucas nodded. "Their actions are getting more and more intense, which means they have realized that we are approaching the 'Black Moon Ruins'. Next, we must be more careful." They quietly passed through the camp and finally found the large tent of the elders of the Wolf Clan. The elders were sitting around, discussing something in a low voice. Lucas and Darlene quietly entered the tent and stood aside, listening to their conversation.

"The blood inheritance of the Wolf Clan is in a precarious situation," A deep voice of an elder came. "The Blood Clan has already laid numerous traps around our territory. We must take action as soon as possible to prevent them from resurrecting the dark being."

Another elder sighed. "We have done our best, but the current situation is far more complicated than we expected. The power of the Blood Clan has long exceeded our imagination. If we don't unite with other races, it will be difficult to confront them."

"We can't just stand by and do nothing!" Lucas suddenly interrupted. His voice was clear and firm, immediately attracting the attention of all the elders.

"Lucas, you're back," An elder said, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes. "You..."

"I know the plan of the Blood Clan," Lucas directly interrupted. "Their goal is not just to resurrect that dark being. They also want to use the power of the Wolf Clan to control the whole world."

The elders looked at each other in dismay. Obviously, they didn't expect Lucas to know so much. After a moment, an elder stood up, his gaze serious. "Is what you said true? Is the real purpose of the Blood Clan really to control us?"

Lucas nodded. "Yes, I saw it with my own eyes. The Blood Clan is no longer just for resurrecting the dark power. Their goal is to completely rule everything. And we, the Wolf Clan, are just pawns

on their chessboard."

"We can't just sit back and do nothing anymore," Darlene interrupted. "If we don't take action, the consequences will be disastrous."

The elders finally fell silent for a moment. After a few seconds, the elder said, "In that case, we should unite all the forces that can be united to confront the Blood Clan."

"Yes!" Lucas's gaze was firm, a trace of determination flashing in his eyes. "We must unite all forces, destroy the Blood Clan, and prevent them from resurrecting that dark being."

The elders nodded one after another, and the atmosphere became even more solemn. On this storm - approaching night, the fate of the Wolf Clan seemed doomed to face an unprecedented challenge.
