Then flipping my hair, I strut away leaving the servants horrified.
"You guys are doomed," Mari says.
"You stupid bitch!? How dare you trick us???" Anne raises her hand to slap Mari.
But she's stopped by Ron, "Stop it, Anne, enough is enough! I warned you guys beforehand that this was very wrong..."
Anne pulls her hand away and curses under her breath.
"What are we supposed to do now? How are we going to find work and feed our families!?" A servant cries.
"You should have thought about it before poisoning the Duchess," Fiona says.
"Fiona!? You were in it with us too! Why do you get to stay when we are fired??"
"Because the Duchess said so?" Fiona replies casually.
"Now there's only one thing left to do and that is to beg Lord Arron!"
"Yes, you are right! Let's bring Teresa and inform Lord Arron about this!!" The servants decide among themselves.
In Arron's room...
Arron hears knocks on his door.
"Who is it?" He asks.
"Milord it is me Teresa and the servants!"
"Come in," he says.
But when they open the door, they find Arron sitting on the bed wearing nothing but a towel around his waist.
The maids immediately start blushing at the sight of his naked well-built body.
"Ah-Pardon our intrusion Milord, were you just taking a bath?" A maid asks, bashfully.
He could have just gotten dressed before asking them to come in...
But their Lord was a very strange man...
"Yeah, and what brings you all here?" Arron asks.
"Well, the thing is Milord..." Teresa explains everything that happened since the morning to him.
"Please help us, Milord! The Duchess is being too cruel to us! Besides you are the Master of this house! She has no right to do this!!" Teresa cries.
But to their surprise, Arron breaks into a laugh.
"Hah...She's really something" His laughter comes to a stop, and he covers his eyes.
Then brushing his wet blonde hair back, he says, "Well it's too bad then...Soon you all will have to leave this manor"
"What!? But Lord Arron how can you say that after all that we have done for you!? And aren't you on Master Derick's side? How can you do this when he's sick??" Teresa cries.
But the look in Arron's eyes changes.
"Don't get me wrong here, I'm on no one's side" He glares at her.
The servants feel chills down their spine at his cold glare.
Their master was a very scary person.
"Then if you are done, you may leave," he says.
And none of them could say another word.
It was really time to leave.
As Arron was about to shut the door after the servants had left...
He finds her standing at the door...
The wife who hardly meets him came to his room all by herself?
"Hah, how surprising?" He smirks.
I rolled my eyes and walk past him.
Then getting inside his room, I sit down on his bed crossing my arms.
"Did you fire them all?" He asks turning around to look at me.
"Yes. And I heard your conversation with them too" I reply.
"Since when did the Duchess start eavesdropping?" He sneers.
"I knew they would come here so I was waiting," I say.
"Is that so?"
"Yeah, and what did you mean by you are not on Derick's side?" I ask looking straight into his blue eyes.
"I meant exactly what you have heard" he answered back without breaking eye contact.
It's strange...
Why do I feel like he's hiding something from me?
Well, the truth is...
The reason why I came into his room is because...
Although very faint, I could smell something weird while waiting outside of his room.
Maybe this body of Rosetta's is just sensitive to smells...
Because even the faintest scent reaches my nose very easily now.
And I didn't really pay attention to it before but...
His room is actually filled with an oddly familiar stench...
Where have I smelled it before?
I scan his room around to find a clue.
And my eyes fall onto the Trashcan near the far end of the room...
Although I can't see properly, there's something dark red inside of it.
Dark red...
And instantly I remembered where that smell is from...
Sanitary napkins.
No to be exact, it's the weird stench of dried blood!
My eyes widen when I realize it.
What the fuck?
I stand up and immediately walk over to the Trashcan...
My heart starts racing faster...
Then gulping down a lump in my throat, I look inside the Trashcan...
Only to find bandages covered in blood.
"What's wrong? Are you scared?" He whispered into my ears.
My heart drops when I find Arron leaning down close to me.
Drops of water trickled down his naked body...
So he just took a bath...
Don't tell me it is to...
Get rid of that smell!??
My eyes widen with shock.
"What did you do?" I gasp.
"Nothing just plucked out a flower from the wild" he smirks.
"Arron stop joking and answer me! What the fuck did you do!?" I scream at him.
And then narrowing his eyes, Arron creeps dangerously closer.
"Do you really want to know?" He smirks and moves his head toward my neck.
*BA-DUMP*
"Rosetta..." He calls out my name.
I flinched as his hot breaths hit my bare neck...
"Tell me...Do you really want to know?"
At this point, I could almost feel his lips brush against my neck...!
I instantly place both my hand on his chest and push him away.
"FUCK OFF!!"
"Stay within your limits Arron, don't cross them"
"Hah and who is the one who walked into my room?" He sneers.
"Ugh fuck this shit!" disgusted, I rush outside the room.
That crazy bastard!? Why the fuck is he always like that?
Wait but what was that??
That was definitely blood...
Arron didn't have any visible wounds on his body...
Then whose blood was it...?
"Milady..." As I'm deep in thought, I hear a voice calling me.
I look up to see Mari approaching me nervously.
"What is it?" I ask.
"Well, actually there is a problem..."
"Why what happened?"
"Well, that's...The imperial officers are here to speak with you" Mari replies.
"The imperial officers? What do they have to do with me?" I ask, confused.
"Actually....they have found a dead in the woods nearby..."
"WHAT!??"
"And that body is of a maid that works here"
My heart dropped when I heard those words.
