So with a grin he looked her dead in the eyes and gave her one of the drinks he was holding.

" I'll think about it, but for now I'm busy." He told her as he walked past her whilst holding three drinks.

But of course, Lydia being Lydia decided to follow him and after going to the pool area he stopped as he watched where Scott had Allison by the hips dancing to the song.

" Mmmmm? Oh it seems that your little brother is having a wonderful time." She teased as if expecting him to be riled up.

He was confused at the comment before it suddenly clicked.

She thought that he liked Allison.

Looking back though he could see how that may have looked, with how closer he had been acting to be with her.

So in a broad stroke of genius and just bout of spite he decided to act like he did.

Why? Because it would make it easier for him to get close to the girl and having Lydia who looked meddling into people's business trying to get them 'together' if he used his recently obtained 'favour' then he might just get closer to his goal.

" Shut it Lydia, you're not helping yourself here." He retorted, heat in voice as he utilised his most used skill for today [Acting].

Seeing this he saw her smirk as she looked him at the corner of her eye.

" Okay! Okay, jeez." She mumbled as she looked back at the two dancing." So what's your story here?"

" What story?" He asked confused.

" You and Allison." She said.

" I have no idea what you're talking about." He acted defensively.

" Oh please, one day you're ignoring both of us like the we have cooties and then the next you're accompanying her home and even picking her up to parties." She said listing her points.

" First of all, I simply hitched a ride with Scott and coincidentally we drove here together." He told her playing everything off before looking back at her, humour in his face.

" And seriously? Cooties? Was that the best analogy you could come up with?" He asked jokingly as he shook his head.

" Don't dodge the question." She said pouting.

" Nothing is going on between me and her, she seems to already have a liking to my brother already anyway." He told her with a shrugg acting as if he had gave up.

" Oh please, like you haven't taken your brother's things before." She said to him.

Hearing that he simply sighed as he remembered that before he took over, past him and Lydia had been friends before highschool and he had shared some things and she knew somethings about him.

" And plus, everytime I'm with Allison she always seems to ask about you." Lydia said causing him to immediately narrow his eyes.

" Oh, does she?" He asked dismissively but inside he was wondering whether this was genuine curiousity or the reason behind her interest in him but not of the romantic kind.

" Oh sure, for a moment I would have thought she was obsessed with you but seeing her dance with your little brother....." She let the end of her sentence hang but he got what she was insinuating.

" It is what it is, Lydia." He said feigning acceptance as he watched them.

Throughout his and Lydia's interaction he had been focusing on them and the aura upstairs.

And he noticed that while his brother and Allison danced, Scott's aura had gotten stronger, magnified and seemingly agitated.

He knew what was coming before it happened, so he watched as Scott suddenly pushed Allison away as he held his head in pain.

' Finally....'

Scott while disoriented started walking, ignoring Allison even as she called to him and before long Scott pushed through them and everyone in the house as he made his way to the door.

" Scott!?" Allison shouted, 'acting' surprised.

He noticed that as she too pushed at them trying to reach Scott who made way through the crowd of drunk teens.

" I should probably get scott." He finally spoke, giving Lydia the drinks he had on him before following behind Allison.

" Wait, Mark!" He heard Lydia shout as she too followed behind.

He didn't take long to reach Allison as she watched Scott drive off in their ride home.

" Well, there goes out ride home." He couldn't help commenting as sarcastic as possible.

Allison heard him and turned and immediately her frown turned into a smirk.

" You speak as if you expected this." She commented, but to her speech he found that she expected something out of him and he couldn't figure it for the life in him.

" My brother is a fickle soul, him chickening out on a date was within my exactions." He replied, deflecting but holding a semblance of what he felt in.

Allison's smirk widened." You think you can do better?"

He immediately caught on to what she implied and as much as he wanted to take her up on her offer, the spite in him couldn't.

" Yeah no, I'm gonna have to pass on that." He said, feeling Lydia behind him having reached up to them.

" You clearly have my brother in you eyes, I wouldn't want to incur more if his shitty pettiness." He said with a shrugg. " Plus, I don't really want his stank on me anyway."

Allison at that recoiiled, clear to anyone who was watching before settling herself." Agreed, I think I might have to wash myself of this 'stank' you speak off, now that my date has gone and ditched me."

Markus of course didn't miss the underlying notes of bitterness and sadness that she said all that, but he didn't comment.

" Well, Lydia has a shower that she probably isn't using, aside from all the sex that's happening upstairs." He commented with no decorum at all, smirking at the girl that followed him out as he gave her a smile enanciating that he wasn't asking.

" But, if you need a lift, me and Lydia will be able to give you one when we're done partying." He said not 'noticing' that Derik was near ear short of hearing them, looking pissed at no but him.

He knew that he fucked up Derik's plans and probably fucked up the timeline, but at this point he didn't care.

He never hoped to preserve it anyway, to have everything expected just so he could take advantage of it.

His entire being and history had already fucked the plot up anyway.

The supernatural being even more dangerous and expansive was a dead wringer on the fact that he was fucked either way, so hoping everything aligned with the episodes of a series's that he remembered was stupid.

So now, he would do all it took to just 'survive'.

" Sure, there's a shower at my room, I also got some clothes you would fit." Lydia said with her all ever vibrant smile as she looked at him and then Allison. " That is, if you don't want to just go home instead, I have a car so I can drive."

Lydia smiled at the insinuation that Allison could leave right then, and to be honest with himself, he wasn't opposed to it.

It would make it a lot easier for for him to investigate what was happening upstairs, and if need, kill something supernatural, be it good or not.

He at this point didn't care.

Well, as much as he valued his life, which was paramount above all.
