Chapter 11 - The Gillian life (11)

Gabriel wasn't exactly what you would call the most graceful Gillian. He didn't like this form at all—he was way too damn tall and slow.

All the souls he had consumed so far had properly fused into his essence, becoming one—his own.

Unlike normal Gillians, his mind wasn't a hive mind. It was just him.

And he hated this form.

He knew, deep in his core, that there was something stronger than this—a form of evolution that went beyond being a giant dildo.

His hunger had increased about tenfold while he was in this form.

Feeling like he had no other choice, Gabriel began devouring Gillian after Gillian.

Never stopping to rest, for days—day in and day out—all he did was devour those creatures.

Using their essence to strengthen his own, he shaped his soul into an ideal form, one that wasn't an oversized dildo.

And thus, he walked aimlessly across the vast land of Hueco Mundo, devouring anything he could sink his teeth into.

He did, however, make sure to ignore the weaker Hollows, instead going for stronger ones or those close to his strength. The weak would get to live another day—only to probably be eaten by another strong Hollow soon after.

He wasn't really helping them by not eating them—just delaying the inevitable. This was Hueco Mundo, where the strong ruled and the weak perished.

Still, he refused to eat those he viewed as way below him. Call it hero syndrome, call it him being naïve—he didn't care. For his own sake, he refused to feast on the weak.

And thus, fellow Gillians were devoured one after the other.

He had lost count somewhere around the one-thousandth Gillian.

So many souls consumed, yet his own still felt so imperfect. He wanted to be perfect—to achieve what he had always had the potential to achieve in this life. And so, he just ate and ate.

Without stopping... wandering from place to place... devouring Gillians by the dozen.

"I see one," Gabriel said, spotting a Gillian in the distance.

Slowly, he made his way toward the beast.

Raising his massive hand, he touched the Gillian's back.

In the very next second, the Gillian's body began to morph in ways that should not have been possible—before condensing into a small ball in Gabriel's giant hand.

Yes... Gabriel had transfigured the Gillian into this shape. It made things way easier to eat.

He tossed the ball into his mouth.

And in the very next second...

The Gillian essence within him reached its limit.

A smile appeared on Gabriel's mask.

Spending a week as a dildo had utterly drained him, but now he could feel it—he was one step away from evolving further.

"Oh, a smart Gillian," a voice called out.

Gabriel turned his massive head, gazing down at the small creature before him.

Well, small was relative. At three stories high, basically every Hollow looked small to him.

Gabriel observed the shape of the creature's soul.

Yes... this was his new evolution.

This was the state he had to achieve.

Though... he didn't want to be a porcupine.

Gabriel opened his mouth to speak—only for a hollowed-out, distorted sound to come out.

Oh yeah. He was a Gillian.

The creature grinned.

"Submit to me, or else I will halt your evolution."

That felt like a dick move—the biggest of dick moves.

Gabriel tilted his massive head, staring at the small creature.

"You should have realized this by now," the creature continued. "Deep in your bones, you fear regression. If I eat even a piece of you, you'll be stuck as a Gillian for the rest of your existence."

That was a dick move... though Gabriel could just heal his soul and be back to normal, so it wasn't much of a threat.

Still... he wanted to eat that thing.

So, he decided to act like he was submitting, lowering his massive palm to the floor in a gesture of obedience.

"That's what I thought," the beast said cockily, stepping into Gabriel's arm. "This Gillian was easier to conquer than I expected."

"I lied," the creature sneered, preparing to devour Gabriel now that he thought the Gillian had let his guard down.

However... unexpectedly, the beast saw a smile appear on Gabriel's face.

Before it could react, the shape of its soul was forcefully changed.

The first thing to change—was its head.

The beast's head was brutally ripped from its body.

The rest of its body, however, remained just fine.

Gabriel looked down at the dead creature in his hand.

It had been stronger than him—that was why he hadn't attempted to transfigure its whole body. Instead, he had gone straight for the head.

It was easier that way. And with its head gone...

The body soon followed.

"Bon appétit," Gabriel muttered to himself, beginning to devour the Hollow.

Crunch

Crunch

Crunch

So many souls...

Gabriel had to carefully destroy their personalities and identities, leaving them in a blank state before fusing them into himself.

He had no interest in dealing with thousands of voices inside his head, each fighting to be the main host.

The food tasted heavenly...

Good.

His body begin to change..... it... begin... changing
