Chapter 60 - Chapter 59

Luna Everleigh's POV

***

The ground trembled beneath us.

Rhydian moved without hesitation, lunging at Morganna, his claws unsheathing in midair.

But before he could reach her, a pulse of dark energy erupted from her palm, slamming into him like a force of nature.

He crashed into the stone ruins with a sickening crack.

"Rhydian!" I barely had time to react before Morganna turned to me, her expression unreadable.

"You're starting to remember, aren't you?"

I gasped, because—yes.

Flashes of something filled my mind.

A temple bathed in silver light. A woman standing before a great stone altar. A hand reaching for mine, guiding me toward something powerful.

A voice whispering my name.

The visions were growing stronger, no longer fragmented but clear.

And I understood.

The Moonlit Relic—it wasn't just a tool. It wasn't just an artifact of power.

It was a seal.

A prison for something far older than Morganna.

For something inside me.

The sharp howl of a wolf shattered the moment.

I turned just in time to see figures emerging from the trees—Silver Fang warriors, their eyes glinting with the same hunger that burned in Morganna's.

"Perfect timing," Morganna murmured, watching as they surrounded us. "Shall we test fate together?"

Chaos erupted.

The battle was vicious, a clash of steel and claws, of magic and blood.

I barely had time to think.

Then—

Something called to me.

The Moonlit Relic.

It was there, just beyond the battle. Waiting.

My feet moved on their own, drawn toward it like the tide to the moon.

As soon as my fingers brushed the cold stone, the world shattered.

A blinding light exploded from my body, illuminating the ruins in an ethereal glow.

Pain seared through my veins—fire and ice, life and death.

I couldn't breathe.

I couldn't stop it.

Something ancient stirred deep inside me, rising from the depths.

And for the first time, I truly understood—

I wasn't just a Lunar Guardian.

I was something more.
