John and Merc landed on the spongy cotton-like mushroom caps grown by spores that Ophis dropped.
Both of them fell at relatively slower speeds thanks to the constant in and out of Monster Paradise with Merc trying to reduce the falling speed as much as possible.
It was utterly dark everywhere except for the glow from Merc's lightning fur and mechanical physical features that gleamed with neon light, but it couldn't illuminate the area enough.
'Let's go back a bit.'
John went back to Monster Paradise with Merc and returned with a Silver-rank Monster called Lumen Crystalon.
This monster was a four-pointed crystal floating with a single eye in the middle and four smaller crystals acting as its extensions, mainly to use skills.
It was of the Crystal and Fire attributes, so John used its attributes to create crystals with flame wisps inside, making glowing crystal bulbs to illuminate the area.
