Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Sebas Strikes

"Hah, what nonsense are you spouting?" Shalltear completely ignored Kizaru's words.

To her, anything uttered by someone she had effortlessly injured was nothing more than the pitiful wails of a defeated dog.

Kizaru condensed light energy around his leg, transforming into photons and using the speed of light to appear behind Shalltear. His left leg struck down mercilessly on her.

The most troublesome aspect of Kizaru's attacks for Shalltear was the damage caused by light energy.

While the impact itself could largely be negated by her legendary-tier armor, which could even reduce one-third of light-elemental magic damage.

The additional damage amplification against dark creatures still hurt her a little upon taking the hit.

Though she managed to remain airborne using her magic, her aura had clearly weakened compared to before.

"You lowly human."

Shalltear absorbed the blood scattered on the battlefield and guided it towards her mouth.

As a True Vampire Progenitor, Shalltear's strength increased in proportion to the blood within her body.

"Magic Boost: Crimson Nova."

A mass of crimson flame with an eerie glow engulfed Kizaru.

"It's useless." Kizaru effortlessly phased through the flames in his elemental state. Shalltear's fire magic had no effect on him.

"Fire cannot burn light."

Ten consecutive beams of light shot toward Shalltear from Kizaru's fingertips.

"Force Sanctuary!"

Shalltear activated her unique skill, completely erasing the incoming laser beams before they could reach her.

"Girl, how many times can you block this? Yasakani no Magatama!"

Kizaru pressed his palms together, unleashing a barrage of countless light bullets. Their sheer speed and overwhelming numbers created a devastating storm of energy.

Despite the intensity of the attack, Kizaru maintained precise control, ensuring the attacks remained within Shalltear's vicinity.

After all, if Momonga's subordinates were to die not at the hands of pirates but because of him, it would be a humiliating joke.

"Damn it, what an annoying bastard."

Although Force Sanctuary could neutralize Kizaru's abilities, it also prevented Shalltear from launching any counterattacks.

She needed to create enough distance between them to deactivate the skill and strike back.

"You just won't quit, huh?! Negative Impact Shield!"

The moment she deactivated Force Sanctuary, Shalltear immediately activated another skill, using a shockwave to counteract the incoming light bullets.

In the brief window of opportunity she created, she unleashed yet another of her exclusive abilities.

A massive spear over three meters long materialized in Shalltear's hands. Its most striking feature was its disproportionately large spearhead, longer than the shaft itself.

The silver-white exterior gleamed under the sunlight, exuding an aura of divine purity that hinted at the extraordinary nature of this skill.

"Purifying Javelin!"

Infusing the weapon with her mana, Shalltear hurled the spear at Kizaru with incredible force.

"I told you, something like that can't hit light." Kizaru once again transformed into photons, easily avoiding the spear.

However, just as he dodged, his Observation Haki detected an alarming change—the spear abruptly shifted direction and was homing in on him again.

"Oh? This one's a guaranteed hit!" Shalltear smirked. As long as sufficient mana was infused, the Purifying Javelin would strike its target with 100% accuracy.

"Tch….." Even in his light form, Kizaru couldn't escape the javelin's pursuit.

What was worse, the weapon was imbued with Armament Haki, capable of directly piercing through his elementalized body.

"What a pity—I missed your heart."

Shalltear frowned slightly as the Purifying Javelin pierced through Kizaru's left arm instead.

Being a holy-element skill, it was naturally effective against Kizaru's light-based body.

Kizaru's face darkened. He had deliberately stalled for time, letting the javelin deplete its power and momentum before allowing it to pierce his body.

However, he hadn't expected the weapon to harm him even without the Haki. Fortunately, the wound was only on his arm.

"You brat... you've really pissed me off now." Kizaru's body transformed into a brilliant flare of light.

As his Devil Fruit power surged, the surrounding environment began to shift—light energy flooded the battlefield to an overwhelming degree.

"Domain of Light!"

When certain Paramecia-type Devil Fruits or Logia-type Fruits reached a high level of mastery, they could alter their surroundings.

Just as Akainu and Aokiji had transformed Punk Hazard into a land of magma and glaciers, Kizaru, one of the three Marine Admirals, naturally possessed such an ability as well.

Countless laser beams materialized all over the battlefield, turning the area into a veritable laser factory.

With no way to counter such an overwhelming assault, Shalltear had no choice but to activate Force Sanctuary again, completely immobilizing herself in the process.

There was no denying it—Kizaru's Glint-Glint Fruit was an extreme counter to Shalltear, the true vampire.

Just as Shalltear found herself trapped in a dire situation, Sebas calmly unfastened the buttons of his butler uniform.

"Martial Art—Formation."

All the lasers in front of Sebas were shattered by his fists.

"Martial Art—Swift Step."

His figure shot toward Kizaru like a bullet.

Even when lasers struck Sebas mid-movement, they failed to harm him in the slightest.

"Martial Art—Cleave."

Sebas clenched his fist, coating it in Armament Haki, and smashed through the incoming lasers before throwing a punch directly at Kizaru.

"Sebas Tian, the butler?" Kizaru frowned and was forced to halt his attacks.

Seeing how his lasers had absolutely no effect on Sebas—not even tearing his clothing—Kizaru immediately realized something.

This guy was no weaker than Shalltear Bloodfallen. Worse still, as a pure martial artist, Sebas was an absolute nightmare for someone like him.

"Sebas! I told you not to interfere!" Shalltear, now freed from Kizaru's relentless assault, ignored Sebas' good intentions and instead scolded him outright.
