After going back and forth on when and where to meet, Jayden finally agrees when it seems to be getting on Almond's nerves already, although she wishes she could still drag it out, but she takes it as just them meeting up to get to know each other and not fixing any marriage date unless she's satisfied with what she either sees or observes.
The time she chooses happen to be after work, when she knows she'll be comfortable with whatever happens and not get distracted about work, and she can calmly face anything that happens. She also makes sure to choose one of the perfect spots for a blind date around her office that's not too far, and it is both cool and secretive.Jayden makes sure to get there 10 minutes earlier so she can get relaxed and feel the ambience of the place. She's able to spot her table almost immediately when she walks in, awed by the extra preparation the man must have put into his thought for the blind date, the restaurant's soft music, the rose bouquet, and the candlelight, adding to the romantic atmosphere of the place.
She tried to look for fault in the whole setting, but she couldn't even pinpoint one as an excuse to use against the man, So the man would get pissed off and cut all ties with her, then her parent would drop the marriage arrangement, and she'd get back her peace of mind.
Jayden kept thinking about all kinds of scenarios in her head till she raised her head and noticed a man of about 6'2" walking towards her table inside the private room, the man looking so tall and imposing with his hair dark and slicked back, revealing a prominent forehead and sharp features, with his rare grey eyes having an icy intensity that can freeze blood in veins; he was probably in his early thirties, but he still retained the look of his younger days as he carried a cold and calculating aura to him, but all that was going through Jayden's mind was that the real definition of handsomeness was standing before her.She couldn't help but be amazed about how God can create someone to be so perfect and without any blemish of imperfection.
The man walked up to her and said, Hello. You should be Miss Cole. Apologies for keeping you waiting; it is not my intention; something came up at work, which resulted in this. Almond was shocked by what he saw as he walked up to the table. How can someone be this pretty? In fact, being beautiful is an understatement; she's more like a fairy angel, he muttered.
She is a stunning 28-year-old with long, dark brown hair and piercing green eyes that sparkle with confidence and intelligence. Her smooth, radiant skin glows with a warm, golden light, and her elegant sense of style is understated yet sophisticated. With a poised and self-assured demeanour, she exudes a sense of quiet strength and determination.
Almond truly felt a sense of refreshment wash all over him with just looking at her; although he already heard that she's pretty, he didn't think she'd be this stunning, but then again, it all bore down to character: she could be tick as a hundred percent wife material, though it's not a love-based marriage. He didn't want a vase with no brain as his bride, one of the reasons he took out of his busy schedule to meet up. After so much staring at each other, Jayden spoke up: You're right; I'm Miss Jayden Cole, the one who you're to meet here, and I'm guessing you're Mr. Almond Jones, who we are to meet here. If you truly are, then I'm pleased to inform you that you failed the first test. You might have a perfect reason for your coming late, but I see it as you mismanaging your time or maybe you're part of those men with egos who believe a lady should always submit to them.
Let's not waste each other's time doing the introduction. I know it won't work out between us, so I think we should just fake a smile and probably a handshake so my father's people will see something to report on. I don't know if you have anyone spying on you, but I did. Jayden let everything out in a breathe, trying to make a bad first impression on the man so they could cut off the idea of getting married and Just get along with the dinner so her father won't break her leg once he knows she's playing trick over here.
