I clenched my daggers. If I could just hold on a little longer. But the Forsaken Monarch wasn't giving me that chance.

I barely had time to react before he was above me, and his foot came crashing down.

I twisted my body at the last second, barely avoiding my skull getting crushed—

But I was too slow.

His knee drove into my stomach, forcing the air from my lungs.

"You are still incomplete," he said, his voice echoing with finality.

[ Abyss Monarch Form: Partially Awakened ]

***

Abyssal energy detonated from my body—dark tendrils whipping outward as my form began to shift.

My vision blurred, twisting between reality and something… deeper.

Something ancient.

The Forsaken Monarch watched—his expression is unreadable. "Now, we begin."

And then, he vanished.

CLANG!

I barely registered the impact before I felt it.

My arms shook as I barely deflected his sword strike. The force behind it dug my feet into the ground, the sheer pressure sending shockwaves across the battlefield.

But this time, I didn't fall.

The power coursing through me felt unreal.

My wounds? Already closing. My vision? Sharper than ever. The abyss? No longer resisting me.

I let out a slow breath, then grinned.

For the first time—I could match him.

***

[ Partially Awakened: Abyss Monarch Form ]

Strength, Agility, and Vitality have drastically increased.

Abyssal regeneration is partially unlocked.

Abyssal Sovereignty is unstable—risk of power loss if not fully controlled.

***

The Forsaken Monarch lunged again—a blur of abyssal steel.

But now? I saw it.

His movements is now predictable. And his speed is now manageable.

The moment he swung, I was already gone.

Phantom Dash.

I reappeared behind him—daggers poised to strike, but he turned.

His elbow met my gut, and I felt my ribs crack again as I was blasted back—but this time, I twisted midair, landing on my feet.

Pain? Still there. But my body? Already adapting.

He Smirked and said, "Not bad."

I rolled my shoulders. The abyss coiled around me, my aura rising to match his.

The Forsaken Monarch let out a low chuckle. "Good. Very good."

Then, his power flared, and the air shattered.

I didn't have time to waste.

If I wanted to win—I had to overwhelm him.

I spread my arms wide, channeling the abyssal energy surging within me. The ground beneath me cracked as shadows poured forth, twisting violently as my summons manifested.

[ Ruler of Abyss – Full Deployment Activated ]

Abyssal Knight – Dusk Reaver emerged first, his obsidian armor glinting under the flickering light. His greatsword pulsed with abyssal energy, ready to cleave through anything in his path.

Beside him, Abyssal Hunter, my shadow wolf, materialized—his glowing crimson eyes locked onto the Forsaken Monarch, baring fangs dripping with darkness.

Then came Fenrir.

The newly fused Abyssal Warhound loomed larger than before—his three heads snarling in unison, abyssal flames seeping from his maws.

And finally—six Elite Abyssal Orcs surged forward, their weapons gleaming with abyssal energy, their massive forms ready to tear apart anything that stood in their way.

The Forsaken Monarch watched silently.

Then—he smiled. "You seek to drown me in numbers?"

His abyssal aura surged—a storm of raw power that made the very air scream.

"Come then."

"Let us see if your Abyss bows to you…"

"Or if you still bow to it."

Dusk Reaver was the first to strike.

He vanished in a blur of black steel, his greatsword carving through the air. The Forsaken Monarch blocked it effortlessly, but before he could counter, my Abyssal Hunter pounced.

A massive clash.

Fangs met blade—sparks flying as the Shadow Wolf sank its teeth into the Monarch's arm.

But the Monarch simply laughed—his aura pulsing outward, sending both of them hurtling away.

Then—Fenrir struck.

Three abyssal heads unleashed a torrent of flames, engulfing the Monarch in a black inferno.

The Forsaken Monarch vanished within the blaze.

But I wasn't stupid enough to think it was over.

"NOW!"

The Elite Abyssal Orcs charged in, axes and greatswords swinging in unison.

BOOM!

The moment they made contact, a shockwave exploded outward.

Metal clashed against abyssal flesh.

The air shook.

The Forsaken Monarch emerged from the flames, completely unharmed.

His sword swung once, and in a single motion, four of my Elite Orcs were cut down.

Abyssal energy erupted from the impact—sending the remaining two crashing into the ruins.

But in that moment of distraction, I moved.

Phantom Dash.

I appeared behind him—both Monarch Daggers flashing forward.

Our blades collided, sending a shockwave through the ruined battlefield.

Dark energy crackled between us, the sheer force of our clash distorting space itself.

For the first time, I held my ground.

The Forsaken Monarch's golden eyes narrowed. "You've improved."

I pushed harder, twisting my daggers, forcing him back half a step. "I'm not done."

Abyssal Hunter rushed in from the side, fangs bared—aiming for the Monarch's exposed ribs.

But he reacted instantly.

With a flick of his wrist, he grabbed my wolf by the throat.

Abyssal Hunter snarled, struggling.

The Monarch's smirk widened. "Pathetic."
